News magazine for a 12 year old grandaughter. Any suggestions?

Not news, but I always think that Aquila magazine looks excellent.
If I had any children to buy for, I would definitely get a subscription.

We would like to send a subscription to a long distance grandaughter for a regular delivery of a current affairs magazine. I have seen First News in our local supermarket . . are there any similar publications that anyone would recommend? This is my first post.
