Happy birthday Mr Soop. Good wishes to all kitcheners. Thank you Doodle Feel much better today but must go through with PCR. I need to know. DH thinks I am being a bit OTT (and worried I cancelled vaccine) but I would worry I was shedding the virus if I didn't. Hopefully not long til the test result.

Not much going on in Gravy Grange, still have DD and her boys here not looking like exchanging contracts anytime soon ?. They are tremendously funny, but oh so noisy and we are back to toys creeping all over the house (I think they must come to life and relocate as no bugger admits to putting them there ?)

Ann, it may be wet in Southport, but it`s a great place for shops. Did you hit Lord Street? One thing always got to me when we took our kids there years ago, a massive beach, but we never saw the sea. I`m told it does come in, but in all those many visits we never saw it once!
I may not get on here early tomorrow, so HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Mr Soop. If you`re 81 I`m a monkey`s auntie!

CharleyG, you`re right about Billy preferring food, he`s very friendly and sociable, but definitely hates cuddles.

Doodle , tonight I asked Alexa to switch on the conservatory light, nothing happened. I asked again and the Alexa in the kitchen told me the conservatory Alexa wasn't responding. Now that is creepy.

That really is excellent news cornergran. I take it that Mr. Corner will be able to take a well-needed rest from his housewifely duties. Please do not overdo it now you have been given the all clear.

soop firstly you need to get the drop bot sorted and then think about the hip which is now giving you buggeration. I hope that Mr. soop enjoys his birthday tomorrow and also the lunch planned.

Hellogirl I think you need to rest but I can understand that is rather difficult to do at present. You could of course sit down and entice a certain cat onto your knee! I am aware he would prefer a meal but he still enjoys cuddles.

Doodle I do use my fingers but I do not have enough! Alexa does tell me when she feels like it what the weather is like in India! It is rarely the same as NW London.

My bedroom Alexa has developed a stutter so I do not know how much longer she will be of use.

For once I have some good news to share. The surgeon was delighted with the knee today, compliments galore. Not a problem to be found. Phew. As far as he’s concerned no restrictions on what I can do now. We hadn’t realised how tense we both were about the verdict until afterwards when a great weight had lifted. A celebration with a hot drink and a tea cake on the way home . Another checkup in a year although I can call his secretary for an earlier appointment if I’m worried about the knee. Can’t fault the care. Thank you NHS.

I’m sorry it’s been a bad day for you soop, hope you sleep well tonight and Mr Soop has a wonderful birthday tomorrow. I’m sure he will.

You’ve a lot to cope with hellogirl. A complainer you certainly are not. Please come and say it how it is if that’s what you’d like to,do. Definitely not a complainer.

Marydoll I don’t think I could cope with more than one Alexa. Ours is a bossy boots and frequently gets into and argument with DH over something. On the 31st she started making spooky Halloween noises every time we asked her something. One good thing though, her spelling is a lot better than mine ?
Miss Charleygirl you use Alexa for doing sums ?. That’s cheating. You should use your fingers like the rest of us. ?
Ann the weather sounds awful. Shopping therapy I think is certainly the answer. Hope you enjoy yourselves.

I have just cancelled tomorrow's booster. Probably being over cautious but have dreadful sinusitis. Today I wondered if it was sinusitis and not something else. Have done two lft (negative) and now booked in for pcr tomorrow instead.. Couldn't bear thinking I had gone along to vaccine centre and been infectious. And now I cannot find another slot..One will appear I'm sure.
Looked after dgd today. Exhausting! But wonderful. My best wishes to everyone.

We’ve had a long day again minding ‘L’il Miss’. Last day tomorrow of her antibiotics and this afternoon she seemed to turn a corner. We are off there tomorrow & hopefully school for her on Thursday. A short week to ease her back in.

Himself dropped me home then half an hour later went back out to take the Boy Wonder to his football practice. Brr! What a good grandad. I’ve got chicken in the oven & will be ready to serve it up as he comes in (frozen to the bone I expect dear old man).

I’m another who doesn’t ‘know’ you Hellogirl1 but I would like to add my best wishes for your son & daughter’s treatment going forward. It must be an anxious time for you and I’m sure the friends you have on here will be very supportive.

Oh hellogirl, never a complainer, so much worry, you are admirable, although in times of despair, you probably don’t feel that at all. I wish I had magic, but don’t, all I can do is send big hugs across the ether, hope your son responds brilliantly and your daughters sores eventually heal ??.
