Good Morning Everyone,
Its dark and wet here in Brackley this morning, today a quiet day for me small shop early ,and then stay in .
Yesterdays bus trip , ended up with me leaving home earlier than planned due to the southbound A43 being closed , the journey was longer by about 15 minutes , caused by the diversion as Anglia Water was dealing with a burst waterpipe it had closed a 2 mile section of the dual carriageway with tailbacks all the way along the Brackley by pass and beyond northbound traffic going south onto the M40 .
Take Care,
Mick

Morning from S Lanarkshire, blue sky and calm out there.

I caught up last night with all the doings of the past couple of days and send my kindest thoughts to harrigran at this very hard time, as well as GrannySomerset and others who need support.

Being picked up this afternoon by oldest DD and DGDs and taken to see James Bond then out for dinner. I’m not desperate to see the film and suspect that with my deteriorating hearing I’ll miss most of the dialogue, but I’m very much looking forward to spending time with them, the girls are so busy now with homework, hockey games and weekend work now, this will be precious time!

Hope Olddudders has an easy journey Ash so nice that you are getting into your old routine. Like Maw, I love travelling by train and we did most of our journeys that way until my husband started down the dementia path and it got too difficult to manage.

Good luck with the hair cut baubles. Mine is still lockdown length and definitely needs more time than before, I’ll see how things go!

This has taken ages to write so sorry for any important news I’ve missed and I wish everyone a good day???

Good morning everyone from south Manchester where it’s dry and very mild. We sleep with the window open unless it’s Baltic and we still have the summer duvet on. Our heating hasn’t been on yet - this apartment is well insulated.

I’ve been asked (again) to make the SOAP dish so will take it over later when we pick the Boy Wonder & L’il Miss up from school. Take them home to give them a very quick tea and then back out for swimming lessons.

We’ve been asked to ‘keep the children occupied in the playroom’ upon return as its parents evening by Zoom apparently and so mum & dad will be sat with a laptop awaiting their appointments with the teachers. It’s half term here on Friday. That’s soon come around! It’ll be Halloween, Bonfire Night then Christmas before we know it ladies.

Enjoy Wednesday all who can. x

Good morning Mick and all from Cloudy Chambers, Lancashire coast.
Off for mammogram today, yuk and had a bad night. I dreamt I was having a baby, my mother was there and the labour had gone on for three days. That happened in the little sleep I had…
Watched a film from ‘68 with Burt Reynolds called The Swimmer, strange but fascinating film about a man who swims home through all the swimming pools in the county, each encounter telling us something about him.
Have a good day.
Harrigran ?

Good morning from Shropshire where it’s still raining☔️

Another quiet day at home today.Household chores this morning then another afternoon reading is my plan.

I also need to try on the dress I have for my nieces wedding next week.I bought it some time ago so better check it still fits!

Brilliant news that olddudders is on his way Ash.I hope his journey goes smoothly.DH and I are quite envious of him spending a day travelling by train!

Good news that Philip’s house has sold so quickly grandMattie?

Hoping all went as well as it could for harrigran yesterday?

Glad your DH is improving GrannySomerset and hope the district nurses can arrange some more help for you?

Mary, good luck with all your parish admin.DH used to be church treasurer and the admin can be quite daunting at times.

Have the best day you can all??

Susan56 Wed 20-Oct-21 09:14:20

Hope your appointment goes well today hollysteers?

GrannySomerset Wed 20-Oct-21 09:18:06

Have taken DH a cup of tea and his pills and made him comfortable so that I can have a blitz on the admin which has been mounting up for days. Got him up late afternoon yesterday and he was able to eat a small but normal dinner, first proper meal since last Friday. Survival looks probable.

Lots of interesting news this morning. Good news from Ashcombe, good luck with the reluctant grouter, Marydoll, and hope for a good day for everyone.

Good Morning everyone, it seems to be dry today , I might put the washing machine on
I hope mrharrigran settled in his new quarters yesterday and that harrigran got a sleep last night
GrannySomerset it’s good to read that the antibiotics are working , I am so lucky that my eldest girl does most of my admin !
Different grout might have been interesting Marydoll ?

EkwaNimitee Wed 20-Oct-21 09:40:51

Good morning Mick and everyone from a brightish but dry Carlisle.
Gardening could happen today if it stays dry but first to tackle some boring admin. If it's wet, it should be picture hanging. It's not that I have masses of them, I'm just not getting it done for various reasons (excuses?).
I hope olddudders has a good trip and arrives in good shape. And hoping to hear from harrigran that all is as well as can be with her and DH.

harrigran Wed 20-Oct-21 10:01:16
