Good morning Mick and everyone, calm sunny day in Oxfordshire after some horrendous weather yesterday morning, gales and rain. The power went off at 9am and didn’t get reconnected until 5, there is a generator in the village for now and they will reconnect us asap. Lots of trees down, branches all over the roads.
Anyway, all is good.
Harri thinking of you and yours on this sad day.
Have a good day everyone.

Good morning all from a blustery, dry East Yorkshire.
November already - where did October go?

Yesterday we went out to lunch to our new favourite place on our marina. I was thinking it was a bad choice venue wise with the dreadful rain but thankfully it had brightened up by the time we’d booked in for. As usual it didn’t disappoint.

We had more trick or treaters than I ever remember and all my goodies went. At one point I was upstairs sorting out bits to put in a charity bag collection today and I was constantly up and down! It was good to see they had all made such an effort with costume and make up. Some lovely families. One older girl was having a good root around in the bowl looking for Bounties as they were her favourite. I said there aren’t any as they are also my favourite so if I did have any they would be all mine!
No plans for today but plenty of stuff needs doing if you know what I mean.
You will be in my thoughts today * harrigran*!
You have been busy Scentia I admire all you are doing.
Hope all with poorly family that they will be on the mend.

Take care all.

Good morning from Staffordshire.Good to see you back Scentia.I was thinking of you on the drive over and here you are!

We will have a quiet day with DGS today. They stayed with us at the weekend and had a busy time with Halloween activities and catching up with family so a quiet day is needed before he starts his new nursery tomorrow.DH has to take DGS to son in laws school at the end of the school day so they can go to the dentist.DGS has already told us he’s not going thank you??‍♀️

Will be thinking of you today harri and sending you and your family strength and love.

Hope dragonfly and all with Covid are on the road to recovery.

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. The sun is shining in South Yorkshire after all yesterday’s rain. We had two groups of noisy young Halloweeners last night. They are getting fewer and further between. I have a telephone consultation with the NHS physiotherapist today relating to my frozen shoulder. Not sure what good that will do - telephone physiotherapist sounds counterintuitive! Other than that, kitchen cleaning is high on the agenda.
Harri I will be thinking of you today?.
Have a good day, one and all.

Good morning everyone the sun’s awake this morning don’t think there’s any heat in it though. At least it’s dry so no complaints there. And that’s himself saying the washing has been hung out to dry he’s a good un. Will it be another jammy day I wonder? Must get a shower this morning my hairs needing a shampoo the scalp is a little itchy due to being too dry. Head and shoulders come to mind.

Hope all the excited trick and treaters are up and ready to hit the road last night was so exciting for them.

Have a good day all who are anxious and needing reassurance play safe and you’ll be okay flowers

Good morning Mick, morning all from breezy South Lanarkshire.

DS called yesterday morning to ask if we could go over to help out as they’d been up all night with their youngest. They had called 111 and been advised to take her to A&E as they couldn’t get her temperature down. She was sent home after a couple of hours of observation, a nasty gastric virus apparently is doing the rounds, the hospital had had many children coming in recently with the same sickness bug.

We took her sister out for a while to let them rest. Got home in time to give out all my Halloween bags which I’m glad didn’t go to waste.

Thinking of you today harri thanks

Wishing everyone a peaceful day.

Good morning Mick and all his followers. I’m glad you are making holiday plans Mick - DH is unusually resistant at the moment. Suffolk has a beautiful morning but it looks chilly.

Hello Scentia - welcome back! If you want something doing, as a busy woman!
I hope you and your family find comfort today Harrigran.
I hope the day is kind to everyone.

Good morning from a much brighter Black Country.

Slowly starting to recover from this terrible cold. I should be on a Health Walk this morning but don't feel up to it. Not been outside since last Thursday, and starting to feel irritable. Had the LFT and PCR, both negative. phew!

Goodness Scentia you have been busy. Good luck with your campaign.

Thinking of you today harrigran

FannyCornforth Mon 01-Nov-21 09:11:01

Good morning all.
I’ll be thinking of you too Harrigran thanks

Nannagarra Mon 01-Nov-21 09:15:08

Good morning from Sefton where it’s a day to stay in, stay dry and stay warm. I’m on a mission to streamline books and clothes. It’s ridiculous how many items I can cram into book cases and drawers…
Yes, I had noticed you were MIA Scentia - hardly surprising when you’re extremely busy. Ashcombe, you seem more upbeat today, thankfully. Enjoy your exercise class.
Sar53 it should be worth your while to accompany your DH to the vax centre today. Appointments are no longer needed and you are close to the date when you would have had it done.
I’ll be thinking of you today harrigran and sending you strength. ?

My thoughts are with you Harrigran ?

PollyTickle Mon 01-Nov-21 09:41:09

Good morning from a blustery, wet Isle of Anglesey.
My thoughts are with you today Harrigran.
I remember the lovely wedding photograph you posted, you, looking so pretty in a lovely velvet gown and your very handsome husband at your side. So many many years of happy memories to sustain you.
Take care.

EkwaNimitee Mon 01-Nov-21 09:42:59

Good morning Mick and everyone from grey and breezy Carlisle where rain is currently threatening. Only the briefest flashes of sun and blue sky in the afternoon yesterday. I shall ignore it all today and get on with some housework and admin.

A very sad day indeed for you harrigran, my thoughts are with you.

Blossoming Mon 01-Nov-21 09:50:11

Auntieflo Mon 01-Nov-21 09:50:21

Good morning Mick, Annie and all.
My thoughts are with you and your family today Harrigran, sending love and hugs.

Nice to see Scentia is back with us. My, you are one busy lady

I didn't go to Church yesterday, as overdid things on Saturday, and have absolutely no reserves of energy to cope with extras.
So we had an extremely lazy day. I did manage to cook dinner, but had to use my perching stool to do the veg.
Today my hip and leg are still giving me 'gip'.

GrandMattie you must have the most enormous stash of fabric, for the amount of sewing that you manage to do!
Hope you are feeling better today Ashcombe
Have a good day , one and all.

Hooligran Mon 01-Nov-21 09:53:52

Good morning everyone, I am new to this group and would like to say a hello to you all from a wet and windy Troon. Later this morning I will be doing my exercise class using zoom and this afternoon I will be meeting my 3 friends for coffee.

Marydoll Mon 01-Nov-21 09:57:40

Glad you took my advice and decided to post, Hooligran! Same weather up here, thirty minutes away.
When I lived in Troon, the weather would be sunny and then I would arrive at my mother's in Paisley, to find it snowing!
Looking forward to seeing more of you.

PS I'm envious of the coffee meet up!

hollysteers Mon 01-Nov-21 09:59:25

Good morning Mick and all from a wet, blustery Lancashire coast. For some reason I’m enjoying this weather more than the sun. Maybe it suits my mood.
Firstly thoughts to harrigran on sad day for the family ?
DD here from the south. Arrived last night and we had chicken casserole and watched First Dates.
I’m under the weather (some weather too!) with my old war wound, my usual bad stomach. Turns over every so often (IBS, hernia etc) It also gives me a headache so just pottering around today.
The electricity keeps tripping and DS is coming over to see if he can find the cause. Don’t think my neighbours enjoyed me setting off my burglar alarm at 3 in the morning when I untripped it for the umpteenth time.
White rabbits everyone!

Nannytopsy Mon 01-Nov-21 10:16:14

Morning Hooligran. Still beautiful here in Suffolk but I am letting the streets air before I start gardening. That was my dad’s expression!

CherryCezzy Mon 01-Nov-21 10:55:39

Good morning from sunny Gower - the calm after a stormy night.

I am keeping you in my thoughts today harrigran and sending you a gentle cwtch flowers

grandMattie Mon 01-Nov-21 10:56:38

Auntieflo, I have some fabric but nothing compared to my crafty friends.. In fact, for the runner, I scrounged most of the patterns off them! Mercifully, they are very generous - I supply the biscuits/cake, they top up my fabrics. ?
