Wish I could stop being a people pleaser and stopped caring what others think of me.
I wish my legs weren't short tree-trunks(just the way I 'm made. ?)
I wish better health for all GN s

I wish I'd never married my first husband.
I wish I'd never been a diabetic from childhood.
I wish I'd never been diagnosed with cancer last week .

I wish I had lovely arms not wrinkly bingo wings
I wish I’d never smoked
I wish I’d kept my pre pandemic weight the same

1. I wish I could speak speak my mind.
2 I wish I was not a people pleaser and stop caring about wgat other people think.
3. I wish I believed in myself.

I wish losing weight was easier so I could get into all those clothes which I like too much to give away
I wish anti-wrinkle creams worked
I wish the state pension was more generous, in line with most of Europe

I wish the hotel I just stayed in had better heating
I wish they hadn't stressed me out when I wanted to leave
I wish my first away break since covid started had been better

Great thread and some terrific posts.

1) I wish my granddaughter who lives and works in the Middle East was back in the UK for good. I worry about her safety.

2)I wish I could eat everything and thus enjoy food again (very boring restricted diet - got multiple food intolerances plus Coeliac)

2) I wish I had the energy I used to have before I had M.E.

I wish for:
A live-in housekeeper
Sunshine every day
To find a lovely new frock (searched all summer without success)

I wish my family (all of them) lived closer.
I wish I could see well enough to quilt.
I wish I could spend an afternoon with all my old friends.

I wish my adult DC would sort
themselves out. As soon as one is happy, employed and no longer stressed the other goes down. Had 2 years of emergency phone calls now.
I wish I could have a weekly cleaner but DH won't agree to it.
I wish I could sleep better. Can't get asleep till 2 or 3.

I wish all the unsightly veins etc. on my legs would go.
I wish cats didn't make me sneeze and wheeze; I miss having one so much.
I wish I was a couple of inches shorter so I didn't tower over my DH and I could easily get trousers that fit.
I wish that all the sick people I know will fully recover.
Oh dear, that's 4 wishes. I'll have to keep the height then!

I wish I had never had a step father (hated him)
I wish I was taller (much taller; 5'9" would be lovely)

You did say lighthearted. Right now I wish the gardening fairy would finish digging up the big shrub root I started on weeks ago. It stares me in the face every morning when I open the bedroom blind.
Wish 2 would be smaller boobs. No more gaping buttons and/or baggy bottoms to tops.
And 3 would be a warmer work room. I think it’s the coldest room in the house.

I wish l could eat what l like and not put weight on.

Please think hard before you wish for more hair
About 65 years ago I overheard my mother talking to her cousin as they were walking along the road behind me. The cousin's answer was' With hair like that , Of course she will get married'. I felt a bit bemused, wondering what hair had got to do with it anyway
Roll on the years I did get married to a bald man who did NOT like big hair as it reminded him of his own deficiences

it is now even bigger and thicker so that my eyebrows are almost linked with my hairline at the temples .... a bit like an albino monkey I suppose
I would like someone to supply me with a ready made bed with clean freshly ironed silky sheets daily
Socks and shoes to fit my feet and were not too grotesque or shouted 'mens' department would be nice
Someone who would come along and think up delectable meals using our left overs and also using the stuff we did NOT feel like eating before it wilted

I wish my poorly daughter had better health.
I wish I hadn't smoked.
I wish my family were near us.

I wish:
1. that British Summer Time was just British Time and we didn't get plunged into darkness at 5pm every October.
2. that all the weight I've lost over the years had stayed off.
3. that my 'long covid' would just go away!

I wish my eyebrows would return, if you see them please hand them back.
I would like a flat stomach.
A large lottery win wouldn't come amiss.

Ladyleftfieldlover... do you mind saying which tablets caused this? I can't find an online comprehensive list of meds that are known to thin hair. Thank you

Just to have my taste and smell back, that’s all ?

1. I wish I could give up work and retire in comfort.
2. I wish I lived nearer the grandchildren.
3. I wish I lived by the sea (preferably Cornwall, although that is nowhere near the grandchildren).
