Hoping no-one else has done this.

We need to get things organised for soop's return.

soop Fri 19-Nov-21 16:57:02

kitty "Best friends" are very special peeps. Just as you lot are.

Grandmabatty You have so many offers of hand holding. Please count me in. smile

Mr Soop is still working his way through the ten year file of appointments, procedures/surgery. I have persuaded him to take a break and have a brew. We shall watch 'The Repair Shop' together. If only we could all pop in and get our difficulties fixed with a smile. Wouldn't that be grand?

Night night. Until tomorrow. Virtual hugs for one and all. smile moon

I don’t have a very strong grip Grandmabatty so offering you both hands ?✋ and a gentle hug ? .

BladeAnnie enjoy being the Birthday Queen - your afternoon tea looks delicious ?

Urmstongran Fri 19-Nov-21 16:54:52

‘Evening All’.

From the sick bay! I did a lateral flow test this lunchtime and as I expected, it was negative (yay!) but as I’ve lost my sense of smell (and therefore taste) I thought it prudent to get one done. Thanks to a reminder from Marydoll I did report the result.

Many happy returns of the day to you BladeAnnie that looks a scrumptious display of comestibles. A lá Benny Hill.
?

I’ve found another Netflix series to keep me occupied for hours (well days really). I thoroughly enjoyed ‘Breaking Bad’ back in the day and highly recommended by our Yorkshire Lass is the prequel ‘Better Call Saul’. I’m enjoying it already. Started it this afternoon and it’ll see me well past the weekend and some days next week too I imagine. My social diary has been emptied and I very rarely bother with the tv programmes - most are rubbish (in my humble of course. Yes sorry - Even Strictly ? I’d rather stick pins in my eyes).

Oh GrandmaBatty you will be highly anxious tonight. Please remember your dear girl is in good hands. All will be well. I shall keep you in my thoughts this evening. x

Here's a hand, grandmabatty. I've been out for lunch so more than happy just to sit and hold hands! Hope you hear something soon.

Many happy returns BA. What a kind daughter giving you a baby to hold and making you tea.

I had a lovely lunch with my best friend. Sounds silly to have a best friend at our age but we have known each other since or children started school and have weathered lots of storms together.

Keep on keeping on soop, you know we are here with you.

Thank you so much for all your birthday wishes - I've had a lovely day. DD1 arrived earlier and popped DGS on my lap (always a joy) and instructed me to keep out of the kitchen whilst she made us a lovely afternoon tea ?. We were going to have Chinese tonight but I'm not sure now - see how hungry we are later. Hope you are feeling better Urmstongran and fingers crossed ? you'll soon hear good news GrandmaBatty. As always, hope soop has been OK today. Enjoy the rest of Friday dear kitcheners - another weekend almost upon us

I need a handhold as they say on Mumsnet. My dd is very unwell and is being induced today. She's had such a difficult pregnancy this time and this has come out of the blue. I'm going to my son's tonight but I can't say anything about it so I'll be on tenterhooks til I hear from my son in law.

Calistemon Fri 19-Nov-21 14:09:11

I can't keep up (not unusual smile) but just wanted to send best wishes to anyone who is having troubles and congratulations to those with new arrivals.
Nannyfaraway how lovely! I'm too old to feel broody but .....

Nannyfaraway that wee boy is gorgeous, give him a wee cuddle from the kitchen grans.?

It was a very long day on Wednesday so I spent yesterday pretty much recumbent. Good job it wasn’t a day later as we don’t even have the bed to sit on as the plasterer is in today filling in numerous holes as well as doing the sun room ceiling & dining room walls. Good job he is a very neat and tidy worker as we have run out of places to stash stuff. Getting there though so all is good! Well not quite all as the telephone wires got pulled out of the wall when the hall carpet was refitted so we are out at a cafe which has an internet connection. Hope that gets fixed soon! There is always another surprise just around the corner! ?
