I've just watched Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga for the third time, and i have to confess that Dan Stevens makes me go weak at the knees ( usually it's low blood sugar ).
I thought he was beyond brilliant in Downton of course, gorgeous in The Guest, loved him in Blithe Spirit, but the sight of him cavorting round to The Lion of Love almost gives me a heart attack !
How can anyone look so tasty ?
I'm also heartbroken because it doesn't appear to be out yet on DVD and i wanted to buy it for myself as a Christmas treat !
Who do you lust over ?

Ps Dan Stevens seems like a nice boy, the kind you want your DD to bring home ?

Calistemon Tue 16-Nov-21 10:58:54

Kandinsky

Jeez I must be getting old. I’m disappointed this isn’t about a lovely winter plant I hadn’t heard of.

Me too when I first saw the heading Kandinsky!

??

It's always been Dirk Bogarde, Clint Eastwood and Kirk Douglas for me.

I guess I need to join the queue for Sean Connery?☹️

FannyCornforth Tue 16-Nov-21 11:47:03

I’ve been getting Dan Stevens mixed up with Toby Stephens.
Dan is a bit wet to my mind.
Now Toby would make a good 007

Clint Eastwood. The bath scene with Meryl Streep in The Bridges of Madison County. The guy is ageless.

Kim Bodnia
Sean Connery
Sean Bean
The problem with Tony Stephens is I used to fancy his dad!!!

FannyCornforth Tue 16-Nov-21 12:00:53

Trisher I thought that would be a plus!

Katie59 Tue 16-Nov-21 12:01:32

I wonder what our children and grandchildren would think of this thread.
Would they believe us?.

Hetty58 Tue 16-Nov-21 12:06:52

I'm glad to say that I'm well past lusting over anyone. Life is so much simpler now!

trisher Tue 16-Nov-21 12:09:03

Just realised I put Tony not Toby! Does it matter if you can't even get their name right???

Grannynannywanny Tue 16-Nov-21 12:22:27

Not sure I’ve got the energy or inclination for Toby Stevens or anyone else. I’ll settle for Toby Carvery ?

FannyCornforth Tue 16-Nov-21 12:24:05

grin Extra Yorkshires for me please!

Grannynannywanny Tue 16-Nov-21 12:28:22

Is that a euphemism for Sean Bean Fanny ??

Soroptimum Tue 16-Nov-21 12:31:27

Old school - Paul Newman
New school - Mark Cavendish

trisher Tue 16-Nov-21 12:35:25

Oh Paul Newman. Those eyes! Fell in love with him when I saw Sweet Bird of Youth nearly 60 years ago!

Aldom Tue 16-Nov-21 13:00:49

Oh and Hugh Grant. How could I forget.

FannyCornforth Tue 16-Nov-21 13:27:44

Aldom my cousin (well, my mom’s cousin actually) is the absolute spitting image of Hugh.

Aldom Tue 16-Nov-21 13:33:23

Fanny the cousin of Pam Ayers lives round the corner from me. Not quite the same, is it? grin

JeanneLeFol Tue 16-Nov-21 13:39:51

I’ve also been a lifelong fan of Burt Lancaster. I think he was the most beautiful man on the planet when he was in his prime. The Swimmer is one of my favourite films.

Hetty28 you are never too old .

Now, you know that Greg Davies is mine @FannyCornforth and I will also add to the list Rick Edwards and Joel Dommet - they're all tall, manly and handsome. aren't they?

In his youth, Jeremy Clarkson was quite a dish - and he can hand over £1m to me if he likes.

Elusivebutterfly Tue 16-Nov-21 16:33:10

I have to agree on Dan Stevens, as well as Rufus Sewell. I would add Aidan Turner.
