I've just watched Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga for the third time, and i have to confess that Dan Stevens makes me go weak at the knees ( usually it's low blood sugar ).
I thought he was beyond brilliant in Downton of course, gorgeous in The Guest, loved him in Blithe Spirit, but the sight of him cavorting round to The Lion of Love almost gives me a heart attack !
How can anyone look so tasty ?
I'm also heartbroken because it doesn't appear to be out yet on DVD and i wanted to buy it for myself as a Christmas treat !
Who do you lust over ?

I love Freddie Flintoff. He didn't do anything for me when he was young and playing.

As an older man, um like I'm an older woman ha, he has an allure and cheekiness that makes me go weak at the knees ?

Thierry Henry. He just gets more and more gorgeous.

Sorry, Shinamae, I didn't realise.

Ps I don't actually lust after any celebs at all now, but if I was younger and Hugh Jackman was there I might just swoon!

Seriously, thanks for the apology but it really isn’t necessary ??

Kiwibird and Rosina, I think the series was called Flesh & Blood - it starred Francesca Annis who lived in an enviable house right on the beach. I loved it but couldn't understand why such a beautiful elegant woman would fall for such a scruffbag!

Shinamae Not even when you were young? I'm beginning to feel sorry for you!?

I’m afraid not, I’m either frigid or asexual. ?..Please there is no need to feel sorry for me at all. I’ve been celibate for about 30 years in fact I started a celibate thread a few months ago maybe a year.. obviously I had sex to have my children but I can assure you it was not a pleasurable experience… not everybody does enjoy sex but few would admit that..?

BBbevan Fri 19-Nov-21 18:47:53

Well I’m going to stick with the lovely man I mentioned before.

Have never been bothered by any sort of lust, late flowering or otherwise ?

Rosina Fri 19-Nov-21 17:34:04

Just seen 'Grannynannywanny's* response. I'll stop wracking now.

Rosina Fri 19-Nov-21 17:32:57

Kiwibird I remember that drama - but can't for the life of me think what it was called. Yes - the closing shot was the supposedly 'dead ' person winking. Was it a final convulsion, or is there a second series coming? I'm going to be wracking what is left of my brains now!

I’ve just remembered Daniel Day Lewis as Hawkeye in Last of the Mohicans. I could fantasise about that a bit!

I must be strange as I don’t lust after anyone. I quite like a bit of good (75%) dark chocolate preferably with hazelnuts, though, if that counts,

Me too?
I used to rather like Sean Bean in Sharpe ( but that was years ago.)
I think it was his smile and the way he used to say ‘Yer bastard’! Oh, and his lean frame in the green uniform.

Amberone Thu 18-Nov-21 16:31:50

Oh yes. Dougie Henshall.

I think I watched Shetland a dozen times just for him. He has such sad eyes. Makes me want to...cheer him up a bit ?

leeds22 Thu 18-Nov-21 16:01:52

Harrison Ford
Brad Pitt
Rupert Penry Jones

Jenn53 if you are able to access ITV Hub I think you’ll still be able to view it there.

adrisco Thu 18-Nov-21 12:19:00

Monty Don and Michael Kitchen (when he was in Foyle's War).

jaylucy Thu 18-Nov-21 12:06:26

Always have had a thing about Richard Chamberlain , but I must admit that more recently I find myself having a penchant for Robert Downey Jr and Tom Hiddleston's voice I could listen to for hours!

Scott (wayne maunder) was lovely too but Johnny (James Stacy) was the one who made my heart flutter. I think its because I always liked a bad boy or rebel turned good!
Watching old episodes of Lancer actually got me through the first lockdown by taking me back to a simpler time when I didn't have the anxieties I've had in the past few years..

Jenn53 Thu 18-Nov-21 11:57:05

Kiwibird, I am so glad you mentioned that TV drama series as I, too, enjoyed it when I saw it, I think it was last year, but just couldn't remember the name of it. One of the best I'd seen in a long time. I wish they would repeat it!!

Shropshirelass Thu 18-Nov-21 10:00:37

Tom Hardy every time, was Kevin Costner.
