I've just watched Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga for the third time, and i have to confess that Dan Stevens makes me go weak at the knees ( usually it's low blood sugar ).
I thought he was beyond brilliant in Downton of course, gorgeous in The Guest, loved him in Blithe Spirit, but the sight of him cavorting round to The Lion of Love almost gives me a heart attack !
How can anyone look so tasty ?
I'm also heartbroken because it doesn't appear to be out yet on DVD and i wanted to buy it for myself as a Christmas treat !
Who do you lust over ?

When I was working in Manchester Tom Conti must have been stayiǹg in The Lowery Hotel as I was walking along the bridge he was coming towards me I smiled at him and he gave me a lovely smile back.
My list of lustworthy men is James Martin was George Harrison we can but dream.

Sorry ladies but the only man I lust over is my husband. He's just so gorgeous

Lilyflower Wed 17-Nov-21 15:19:44

Rufus Sewell for sure.

But I feel a bit over lusting after the opposite sex these days. Still, it’s nice to see a pretty face. Bertie Carvell is looking suitably gloomy and attractive in a buttoned up, well dressed sort of way in ‘Dalgliesh’.

Aidan Turner
Hugh Jackman
Matt Tebbutt
but can I have a version of them with a french accent please!

There's something about Steve in the Repair Shop. He has nice hands and eyes and looks kind

Teddy123 Wed 17-Nov-21 15:05:48

David Gandy (model)

Well, I’ve had a long term lust for Richard Gere. But he’s married someone half his age I believe and they have a child now. So not the same anymore.

Silvertwigs Wed 17-Nov-21 14:58:16

crazyH Wed 17-Nov-21 14:36:20

I’m almost sure there are one or two male members on GN

Another fan of Giovanni Pernice here.
Hugh Grant
James Nesbitt
James Norton
Young Elvis, pre army days

Are there any male gransnetters left or have they all been chased off ?

I wonder what sort of reaction there would have been to this thread if it had been started by one of the male Gransnetters asking the others who they lusted after.

I can't decide whether to put a grinning or a shocked emoji now, 'cus I'm genuinely unsure how I would have felt about it!

Very good point !!

Now, you know that Greg Davies is mine @FannyCornforth and I will also add to the list Rick Edwards and Joel Dommet - they're all tall, manly and handsome. aren't they?

In his youth, Jeremy Clarkson was quite a dish - and he can hand over £1m to me if he likes.

I think Rick Edwards and Joel Dommet look like twins.

I still carry a torch for a burly builder I sat opposite on the London Tube back in the seventies. He was having a snooze after a day's hard graft. What did it for me was the bow tie he'd made for himself out of an old crisp packet!

I love that. Wish I’d seen him. ?

MissAdventure Wed 17-Nov-21 14:15:08

I'm in the boy George camp (pardon my pun)
A cup of tea for me.

Suzey Wed 17-Nov-21 14:12:16

Too many to mention

This is a toughie!? Henry cavill/Tom selleck/Andy Garcia/the biker in village People!/ always Al Pacino(specially in serpico) I think there's a pattern here......DH is a blend of all these but I only realised when my DS pointed this out to me! And I thought it was the uniform!(well it did help?)

Ooh Gabrielle you’ve just jogged my memory - Andy Garcia in Mamma Mia II - lawdy ?

Alison333 Wed 17-Nov-21 14:05:41

Aidan Turner, easy on the eye and he's got such a nice voice!

Gabrielle. is your husband a policeman?

gulligranny Wed 17-Nov-21 13:50:26

Lutalo Muhammad, the Taikwondo Olympian. Not only beautiful to look at but with a gorgeous voice and lovely manners - sigh. Wish I was 50 years younger ...

Aidan Turner, he has divine lips.
Ronnie O'Sullivan, but only if he doesn't speak. I get a great amount of pleasure watching him bending over a snooker table, but he has a horrible voice.

And voices are possibly even more important than looks, although Art Malik has both.

Curlywhirly Wed 17-Nov-21 13:49:51

George Clooney - especially when he was in ER, just divine ? Even though not in my heyday (I was too young) Cary Grant. Also Paul Newman, not only handsome, but had a social conscience and gave millions to charity- gorgeous inside and out. Tom Hardy - a rough diamond with film star looks. Aiden Turner, Jason Momoa, ....... I could go on all day! What a lovely thread!
