Good Morning Everyone,
Its dark, but dry and misty here in brackley this morning.
Today usual trip to Bicester today , also later I want to do some food preparation like making a cottage pie .
Did Banbury yesterday and got new ABBA cd.
But even Banbury as a town is going through changes with new town centre facilities .
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning from a brightening Cornwall. The sea is calm and there's a bit of blue above the light grey and white clouds. It's mild as the heating hasn't bumped on in our rented flat.
News from home is that when the builders removed the bathroom tiles the walls came with them. So more work and cost than first thought. I'm so glad we went away as I can imagine the mess.
We'll probably explore the local area on foot today as we had a long drive yesterday. It's nice to just sit here with a cuppa and look at the sea.
Love to all x

AGAA4, well done!

I have one for Thursday, 23rd, which suits me. I managed to get an all day slot as I'm registered as vulnerable. It's not a problem, as I won't be going anywhere! The delivery pass ones were all gone.

Good morning from North Yorkshire.
Just popped in to join the autumn appreciation society. I was at the arboretum yesterday, it is stunning. It was one of DH’s favourite places too. I love it’s solitude on a quiet Monday morning.
Lunch with a friend today.

Good morning all. I’m up and on the go as DD3 and baby will be arriving straight from the school run for a short visit. I will spend most of the day making a Christmas stocking for DGS 3. Later I’m collecting DHS 2 from school and taking him to his swimming class. Must remember to take a snack for him or I’ll be in trouble.
Caring thoughts to all who need them and hoping you all find a smile in your day.

Pictures?

DH is off for his nursing home stay - two weeks initially but I seriously doubt whether he will be able to come home. Since “the conversation” on Sunday he has been withdrawn and unco-operative and just getting him there will be a logistical triumph. We have reached the extent of one person caring for him and we are so close to a disaster of some kind that I am on edge all the time.

I will be very glad to get today over.

Good morning Mick, morning all from a rather grey South Lanarkshire.

Loved your description of the glorious Autumnal colours Mattie being out walking at this time of year makes my heart sing.

I’m doing an extra shift in the charity shop today as they’re really short of volunteers at the moment. If the manager has to work on the shop floor she can’t meet her target of putting 60 new clothes items per day out on the rails as well as 40 non hanging items. As she has to sort, steam and price everything first, it takes up a great deal of her time although there’s usually a volunteer in the back room with her.

DH has popped out to get milk as our delivery yesterday didn’t materialise, when he phoned the dairy they said it must have been stolen from the doorstep! Unlikely since the empty bottles were still in the holder.

Have as good a day as possible and keep an eye out for a ?.

Good morning Auntyflo and all x

GS, how sad for you. I hope today is not as awful, as you are anticipating.
For the sake of your own wellbeing and your husband's, you have had no choice.
It has demonstrated your great love for your husband, that you have found the courage to do this. ?

Jaxjacky Tue 16-Nov-21 08:51:02

Oh GrannySomerset what a hard time for you, you’ve done so brilliantly and no none could have done more.
Sending you strength and comfort with a big hug for today ?

baubles Tue 16-Nov-21 09:00:18

GrannySomerset a difficult day ahead. You are in my thoughts. thanks

Nannytopsy Tue 16-Nov-21 09:05:32

Good morning Mick and all his followers. It’s sunny in Suffolk - how long since we could say that? ?

I love Autumn too and I think this year it has developed very slowly. We still have trees in the green, through to bare winter trees, with all the colours in between. I wonder if it is because the weather is calm? Last year our walnut leaves blew away but this year they are gently settling on our garden for us to collect!
I hope your husband settles in GS. A difficult time for both of you.
Let the day be kind to us all!

Good morning from Sefton.
Your mention of cottage pie, Mick, has whetted my appetite; I am also tempted by a friend making cauliflower and sweet potato soup.
Mattie’s description of autumnal colours is as delightful as their show. I hope your youngest, Ashcombe, thoroughly enjoys celebrating his 40th. No gran in Scotland has mentioned the earthquake so I’m trusting you’re all okay.
Thinking of GG13, GrannySomerset, Jaxjacky, soop and all others who would benefit from a hug today. To everyone I send a smile and a flamingo.

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. I think it is trying to brighten out there but I can’t be bothered to get up and open the blinds at the moment?! We have plans to give the pyracantha hedge at the side of the house a cut today. We will do it in small stages. DS offered to do it when he was down on Sunday but DH wants to do it while he can. Wonderful Autumn photos, folks. We had a short walk in the park while we were out yesterday and noticed how much berried holly there was this year - bushes covered in them. I love to see it but always take it as a portent of a hard winter to come. That always makes the family smile - so far I’ve always been wrong! I hope I am again!
Hope everyone has some good things in their day!

I will be thinking of you today GrannySomerset I do hope your OH settles and finds things are better than he expects
You can’t do it by yourself , or even with intermittent help .
He will be so much better with all the help needed in the Home

GrannySomerset ?

Good morning Mick and everyone from a very grey but dry Carlisle. A look at my weather app showed very chilly temperatures for this coming weekend and a snowflake icon for Monday! I do hope not. I'm wondering if I will need to dig out my thermals for this winter. I found it so hard to keep warm in my let last winter that I was wearing the ones I bought for Arctic visits. This new house is supposed to be highly insulated so it will be interesting to see how it performs.
Today I'll be houseworking and trying not to waste time playing games on my tablet...
GrannySomerset, what difficult, sad days you are having. I do hope your DH will accept his new circumstances and be happy in his new quarters.

Kalu Tue 16-Nov-21 09:41:24

Good morning all from a rather gloomy Glasgow, only plan for today is our practise nurse phoning for an update on my BP which I have been monitoring at home. It was alarmingly high recently. Now on Ramipril which has lowered it to a less worrying rate.

Almost finished knitting a pouffé using cord this time as the first one, using wool, expanded too much. GD2 is now using it as a comfy seat in her bedroom, always a solution!?

A bittersweet day for you GrannySomerset. A difficult decision but caring for your DH alone is asking a lot for you to cope with. I hope today goes smoothly, take care of yourself too ?

A pleasant day to all and a better one for those of you with struggles and worries.

Kalu Tue 16-Nov-21 09:55:17

Glorious photos of autumn trees and shrubs. Breathtaking hues to lift the spirits even on a gloomy day, so beautifully described GM

Gwenisgreat1 Tue 16-Nov-21 10:07:42

GoodMorning all from dry Harrogate
GrandMattie your journey to Philips house sounds so poignant and beautiful.
Sainsburies haven't introduced their Xmas deliveries yet, so I hate to think how I will fare with that!
GrandmaSomerset flowers
I had my small GS here for a short time yesterday, he stood and stared at my cake tin until I offered him a small piece of cake! He's such a happy little boy, hard to believe he is 8 especially as his 5 year old friend towers over him.
Have as good a day as you can everyone!
