Good Morning Everyone,
Its dark, but dry and misty here in brackley this morning.
Today usual trip to Bicester today , also later I want to do some food preparation like making a cottage pie .
Did Banbury yesterday and got new ABBA cd.
But even Banbury as a town is going through changes with new town centre facilities .
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning from a brightening Cornwall. The sea is calm and there's a bit of blue above the light grey and white clouds. It's mild as the heating hasn't bumped on in our rented flat.
News from home is that when the builders removed the bathroom tiles the walls came with them. So more work and cost than first thought. I'm so glad we went away as I can imagine the mess.
We'll probably explore the local area on foot today as we had a long drive yesterday. It's nice to just sit here with a cuppa and look at the sea.
Love to all x

Good morning all from the east coast of Fife. Thankfully I had a good sleep last night no feelings of feeling sick like the night before which was gastly. Perhaps I’ll enjoy my food today. smile I’ve a lovely salad just ready to put together with honey and mustard chicken thighs which will still need to be cooked. Today’s the day. roastchicken
Must think about getting on.

Have a good day everyone sending virtual hugs to those in need flowers

Good morning from Torbay where the dullness is giving way to some brightness.

Yes, Autumn colours are a joy to see so, for all those like grandMattie and Scentia who’ve admired such scenes, I’ll post photos of Simmons Park in Okehampton which we visited on Sunday as Castle Drogo wasn’t open.

My youngest is 40 today. Having had two girls, I still recall the joy of his arrival back in the days when we didn’t know the gender until the baby was delivered.

Our theatre has reopened this week with the production (Deathtrap) which had to be abandoned in March, 2020 with the first lockdown. We had the privilege of supporting Front of House duties, with DH as Manager and me as steward. A powerful play, well received.

Wishing everyone a good day. ?????

AGAA4 Tue 16-Nov-21 07:57:11

MaryDoll I was 90,187 in the queue when I logged on at 6am! It was much quicker than I thought and I had my slot at 6.50. Good luck I hope you won't have to wait long.

Grandmajean Tue 16-Nov-21 07:52:24

Good morning from me in Cheshire.
Love your description of the Autumn colours GrandMattie I love them too ! Carpets of leaves look amazing on drab streets.
DH going golfing this morning so some housework for me I think.

Grandmadinosaur Tue 16-Nov-21 07:47:58

Good morning everyone from a grey, dry East Yorkshire.

After my tidy up yesterday my wardrobe is much lighter! I filled 2 bags for the charity shop which also included some of DH’s books. He had 2 piles that were on there way to the ceiling. I am sure that is why the Alexa device they were surrounding couldn’t hear me ?
I also did some laundry and made a few calls.

Today is coffee morning. We go to a coffee shop in a nearby hotel that has a gym. It isn’t far from the Humber Bridge. When we were away visiting the steam railway at Pickering a few weeks ago we stopped off at Malton for morning coffee. Found a lovely place called The Pattisserie. We got a table, ordered and I had to go up to the counter to check the cakes ( as you do) and I passed a table of people. I was surprised to see it was a lovely lady and her husband who we see on our coffee mornings! Small world!

Have a good day everyone.

Good morning Mick and all. The sky is turning pink here in Lancashire, it looks dry at the moment. I’m off to the doctors, so will read your posts later.

Marydoll Tue 16-Nov-21 07:35:31

Good morning all from Glasgow, feels a bit chilly here.

No plans at all, a restful day, I hope. My only plan is wrapping Dollie's birthday presents.

Mr MDoll forgot to set the alarm for my Tesco Christmas slot at 6am. I am only 205, 000 in the queue ?

I wish to apologise if I upset anyone on here yesterday, with my comment wishing for solitude. I would never intentionally hurt those, who are on their own and have lost loved ones. We never really know what is going on in Gransnetters lives.
However, sometimes I just need to retreat from everything and not have to pretend I'm ok. I'm sure there are those on here who feel that way too.

Wishing everyone a pleasant day.
For Jax, GSomerset and GGravy, ?

Gingster Tue 16-Nov-21 07:33:07

Good morning all and this ‘weather’ is very consistent.?.

Yesterday I visited my lovely girl’s new baby boy. I think they’re struggling a bit with lack of sleep and a grizzly babe. It’s overwhelming with your first, as we can probably all remember. Her DH is great though, and will be a big help to her..

Today DD will get the results of her biopsy on the mole she had removed.??.
My ‘old’ neighbour and longtime pal is coming to dog walk with me this morning. Bridge club this afternoon. I must find a clear day to really get down to thinking about Xmas presents and write my cards. I’m usually more organised by now.

GM - I love the autumn colours and the trees around here have suddenly shown their beauty. Your description of them was quite poetic ??.

Best and kindly wishes to all. ?

cornergran Tue 16-Nov-21 07:31:58

Morning Mick, morning All. Another Eeyore sky over our corner of Somerset.

Plumber did her stuff yesterday, she even phoned to say she would be ten minutes late. Managed to stick to our list in the afternoon, a miracle. We are also enjoying the changing colours of the trees grandMattie, a wonderful display.

Dust removal and soup making for me this morning before a long awaited and very welcome audiology appointment for Mr C this afternoon.

Take care everyone, hope Tuesday is kind to us all.

Beechnut Tue 16-Nov-21 07:26:29

Good Morning everyone from Severnside. It’s damp and grey.

I’m not going anywhere as I am waiting for a delivery and want to be in when it arrives.
Someone has a gorgeous coloured tree in their front garden in my road.

Have the best day you can all ???

monk08 Tue 16-Nov-21 07:24:10

Good morning Mick and all who follow from the Black country. Very damp and misty outside.
DH had a phone call yesterday evening inviting him for a dental and hygienist appointment today, not being able to go for nearly 2yrs he jumped at the chance. So it's an early start his dentist is a 50min drive away. Will give my brother a ring to see if we can call on him while over that way.
Curry for tea tonight.
Enjoy your Tuesday everyone and may you all find some ?.

brook2704 Tue 16-Nov-21 07:19:37

Good morning everyone from Inverness where it’s quite mild and dry.
I love your description of the autumn colours grandMattie and agree the autumn colours are beautiful this time of year, nature at its very best. I hope it made a difficult drive more enjoyable
Today I’m off to my Fitsteps dance class and then popping into town for a bit of shopping. We’ve got the school pick up later and the DGC are staying over tonight as DD1 and SiL are off out to a concert later.
Sorry to hear about the loss in your family in Australia BlueSapphire
Thinking of everyone struggling with one thing and another, take care all whatever the day brings ?

dragonfly46 Tue 16-Nov-21 07:14:17

Good morning from dark Leicestershire.

Only dog walking today then try and start on the mountain of jobs that need doing.
I did my Christmas order a while ago from Ocado but couldn’t get the date I wanted but last week I managed to change it. No queueing in M&S this year!

Hoping you all have a good day especially those who are under the weather. I hope you sorted out that respite care GrannySomerset.

Urmstongran Tue 16-Nov-21 07:12:05

Good morning everyone from south Manchester where is dark, damp but mild. What a lovely route it sounds grandMattie.

Another day of no plans so I may continue binge watching The Crown - I get behind when I’m away in Spain of all programmes as I never bother there! I’m really enjoying it. I watched hours of it yesterday. Last episode of Series 3 awaits and then I will go on to watch Series 4.
#lazygran

Himself will take the Boy Wonder to football practice tonight. I can appreciate how handy we become when we are here. The parents have to juggle to fit everything in otherwise and us being here means we take up the slack and it’s less stressful (and tiring) for them.

Did you choose a new mattress from ‘Dreams’ Scentia?

Enjoy Tuesday all who can.

GrannyGravy13 Tue 16-Nov-21 07:11:45

Morning all
Beautiful description of the changing seasons grandMattie
We have The Imp today, so let’s hope he is in a happy mood.keep safe and well folks ?‍♀️?

BlueSapphire Tue 16-Nov-21 07:10:10

Good morning everyone from a still dark and dry Northampton (4°C today). Have glanced at the weather forecast, looks set to be cloudy all day, but I have taken a chance and put the bedding in the washing machine.

Yesterday was so bright and sunny that I made myself go out and do a couple of hours in the garden in the afternoon cutting back very overgrown shrubs. Looks worse now than before, but at least it won't be a jungle in the spring. Still have lots left to do, and the grass needs a final cut.

Also had a nice walk to the post office to post condolence cards to family in Australia after the death of late DH's cousin last week. We are arranging a donation to an Australian animal charity in her memory.

Pottering this morning then a health walk after lunch with a coffee and gossip afterwards.

Hope Tuesday is kind to us all.

Sar53 Tue 16-Nov-21 07:07:23

Good morning from another dull and chilly day in Essex by the sea.
DH is going to do some small jobs for his eldest daughter this morning, I have a date with a new dentist. After I will pick up a few bits from M&S.
Have the best Tuesday you can everyone xx

Jaxjacky Tue 16-Nov-21 06:58:28

Good morning all from a chilly, 1 deg, S Hants.
I too was up booking my slot AGAA4, mission accomplished!
I have two drives today, both for people I’ve not taken before, we have our AGM next week, I’ll be able to put faces to names of the other volunteers I speak to on the phone.
Enjoy your day those who can, thoughts with those struggling ??.

kittylester Tue 16-Nov-21 06:42:57

Good morning all from a dark and chilly North Leicestershire.

The tiler will be back again today and DH will be doing his volunteer driving while I iron and try to do a Sainsbury's shop. I also need to make a cake as we always try to 'spoil' the Carer's on the last session of their 'course'. Not sure eating cake I have made can count as spoiling anyone.

Good Morning all from East Staffordshire where it is still dark and feels mild.
Grandmattie what a wonderful description of the trees on your journey. I am such a nature lover and it is the nature and wildlife around our brook and pond that started me on my campaign!!
Nanna duties today and eldest is at playgroup this morning so baby and I are off for a swim. Then a few deliveries then home for an afternoon of rest. DH is expecting me back at work at 6 after DD is home but I will find an excuse not to go in like I do every Tuesday ?. You would think he would have realised by now it isn’t going to happen!!
Take care my friends and enjoy your day❤️

AGAA4 Tue 16-Nov-21 06:33:15

Good morning everyone from North Wales.
Up earlier than usual trying to book a delivery for Christmas.
Will be off to town later.
Pantglas not too windy I hope. My hair doesn't do well in high winds.
Have a good Tuesday everyone.

Pantglas2 Tue 16-Nov-21 06:24:56

Good morning Mick from a dry and mild north Wales where I’m busy putting an order in to PollyTickle on the island for some ?- I’ve a ton of washing to do and some blowy weather will oblige ?

Lovely to read about so many of you out and about with coffee and lunch meet ups, different classes etc. Long may it continue!

Hope those unwell or troubled have a better day ? and I’ll be along later with ? for those celebrating birthday, anniversaries or ingrowing toenail treatments ?

grandMattie Tue 16-Nov-21 06:23:36

Good morning from a grey E Kent. Another dreary day ahead, weather wise.
We went to check upon Philip’s house yesterday, and took a different route. It was fabulous. The trees have suddenly put on their autumnal finery - the claret of dogwood, the intense yellow of birch and field maple, the pinks and reds of cherry, the copper of beech, the brown of oak… wonderful!
Tai chi this morning and a natter with the girls after. Strip to the dump on the way to the supermarket this afternoon.
This evening I’ve got the WI craft group. We shall be making Danish Christmas trees - your guess is as good as mine.
Carpe diem and hope you find a flamingo ? or two, lots of smiles and plenty of metaphorical sunshine ☀️ today. ???☀️☀️☀️?????
