Seems as though the Girl Guides own safeguarding policy has been breached:

Make every effort to ensure that girls and young members understand why and how they must use social media responsibly and safely using the relevant privacy settings.

The sharing of illegal and inappropriate imagery online (sometimes known as sexting) can fall into two categories: illegal and inappropriate.

‘Illegal’ is child sexual abuse imagery and imagery that incites violence, hate or terrorism.

‘Inappropriate’ in this context could mean the sharing of pornography, violent content, racist content and homophobic, biphobic or transphobic content.

The policy states:
Any breach of this policy by volunteers will be managed under the managing concerns about adult volunteers policy.

Any breach of this policy by staff will be managed under the staff disciplinary procedure. Staff can find this procedure on the staff intranet.

So posting photos of yourself as a dominatrix with a whip and guns surely falls into these categories?
I've just read up on the reports of David Challenor; Sully's friend, Aimee Challenor's father. Dear God in heaven, I really wish I'd not seen that.

I was too, I remember not liking school showers after games because they were communal, I was in and out as quickly as possible! I would have hated it even more if there was a penis dangling under the next shower head! I think the girls' parents have a right to be made aware of the presence of a transboy even if that person isn't named. Then they make an informed decision as to whether or not they give permission for their daughter to attend.

Rosie51. It was sharing the showers and sleeping accommodation with trans-boys and being told that they had no right to object that made them drop out. Some girls at that age are sensitive about their bodies-even at home, they like to shower in private.

Scouting declared itself mixed sex open to boys and girls, but guiding still declares itself to be a single sex organisation for girls and those who self identify as such.

They'd be sharing showers and sleeping accommodation with transboys not the adult leader. However the guide leader isn't able to tell the girls' parents that on a residential trip their daughters will be sharing with a male bodied person. If the leaders are in a shared room the female leader has to share with the transwoman.

Helen Watts was sacked from her position in Girl Guides for her views that girls should not be expected to share showers with men identifying as women.

Call me a prude but I don't think these girls should be sharing a shower with any other adults. Full stop ?

A tweet from GG

"The safety and wellbeing of our members is our absolute priority. We follow rigorous recruitment and vetting procedures, have clear policies, and a volunteer code of conduct which volunteers are expected to follow to keep our members safe. We are aware of concerns raised."

"We are looking into this as a matter of urgency and will provide the necessary support and action in line with our compliance procedures"

Mollygo One of my GD and her friends have just left guides because of what they are expected to do.
What were they expected to do? This sounds worrying.

Voice your concerns to the Girl Guides HQ.

What will it take before everyone agrees that this has all gone too far and that there is a need for single sex activities and spaces?

The Scouting movement has long had to defend itself against the idea that leaders are possibly predatory, and this sort of thing is really not helping.

' Once a Guide always a Guide' that's me! Girl Guiding has been a positive influence in my life , from joining Brownies aged 7 going through to Guides and then taking my warrant in my 30s and becoming a Tawny Owl. What on earth is happening? no woman ,trans or not should hold a senior post in the Girl Guide movement and pose with guns and a whips!!!! I am appalled , not because the person is transgender but because of her interest in guns , whips and her image of mistress!!!!! I can not believe this has happened, I fully recognize that the Guiding Association must move with the times - but ........…. I despair!

So he's not only posed with guns and whips but is also involved with another transman, (Aimee Challenor), who is in famous for trying to get their father involved in the Green Party campaign, even though he'd been charged with 22 offences for crimes including the rape and torture of a 10-year-old girl? FFS. angry

"Someone" will be along shortly to tell us our fears for young girls is transphobia.

Helen Watts was sacked from her position in Girl Guides for her views that girls should not be expected to share showers with men identifying as women.
Now they have a Monica Tetley/Sully a transwoman as a senior leader who posts selfies with guns or as a ‘mistress with a whip’. If a woman did that, serious questions would be asked about her suitability. If Sully is being accepted as a woman, why are the same terms not applied? www.google.co.uk/amp/s/4w.pub/trans-identified-male-now-a-senior-leader-at-girl-guides-uk/amp/
