‘Tis the season to be silly ( or almost time) so once again am inviting one and all to the grand Christmas Ball at Lemongrove Manor
These shindigs need starting early as there is so much to do!
Lord Lemongrove has been busy testing mince pies and pigs in blankets ever since Cook took them out of the oven this morn. What a man!

There will be rooms for those who wish to stay the night, and
Carriages at dawn for those who don’t.

As usual it helps if your offerings are in alphabetical order, but the more sherry we consume....tchblush
Stay and chat awhile if you want to and if pushed for time just state what you will bring ( then I can tick it off my to do lists.)

Here is the address for forgetful heads and newcomers...
Lemongrove Manor
Much Ado Inthemarsh
Nr. Rumpling in Parva
Cotswolds

Opulence and plenty of it. Gold chandeliers, velvet drapes, crystal bowls full of figs, golden trays of salmon and caviar blinis, quality champagne by the bucketload, lots of gorgeous hunks in tuxedos.

Calm down Laura. You mghtee some peppermint or even paracetamol.

Maybe we can have a spit roasted pig?

Calistemon Sun 28-Nov-21 15:45:56

By golly, LauraNorderr you've got expensive tastes grin
and a partridge in a pear tree, kittylester!

now, where are we?

Quails' eggs in quince jelly, decorated with Quavers (just to bring the tone down a bit)

Restorative massages by Lemon 's renowned assistants

lemongrove Sun 28-Nov-21 16:32:17

Simmer down ixion.....I have George Clooney on speed dial
( from his days spent chained to the Nespresso machine in The Argy Bargy Bar) so have had a word in his shell like....the result being he will spend a few days here at Christmas and be staying overnight for the Grand Christmas Ball. He is hoping that a few ladies will fill out his dance card.

Turkey vol au vents, Cook makes a terrific terrine too.

lemongrove Sun 28-Nov-21 16:37:33

Under footmen.....you can never have too many to lend a hand.
All ours are vetted by me and I have very high standards. That’s why they all closely resemble a young -ish Sean Bean.

kittylester Sun 28-Nov-21 16:42:06

Will we have our own Valets and can mine look like Rufus Sewell (or be the real thing)

I shall wear my voluminous velvet ball gown in a really vibrant violet colour. And, I shall be very vivacious - well till about 8.30.

Charleygirl5 Sun 28-Nov-21 16:43:30

I do not like champagne or fizzy anything so I will bring my own dry white.

Lemongrove can your chefs cope with so many different palates? We have to maintain standards.

AcornFairy Sun 28-Nov-21 16:46:49

Can I join in with all this XS please?

lemongrove Sun 28-Nov-21 16:53:24

Certainly Acorn Y not ?
Your yellow ballgown was the talk of the town last year!

lemongrove Sun 28-Nov-21 16:55:08

Zoom party meeting, for those who can’t make it due to snowy conditions.

AcornFairy Sun 28-Nov-21 16:55:14

Whoops, must have spilt my zabaione all over it. I'll wear I different one this year.

lemongrove Sun 28-Nov-21 16:59:13

Alas Charleygirl we don’t have chefs here, it’s just Cook and me and a girl from the village ( she does the washing up.)
However,we have vast freezers here to accommodate all the things that Lord L shoots, although since his sight is going a bit, the last time I checked there was a badger and couple of moles in there.

LauraNorderr Sun 28-Nov-21 17:17:06

Bold non bio (other brands are available) to soak gowns covered in spilled food

NanKate Sun 28-Nov-21 19:33:24

Ermine decorated knickers and a box of Pantyliners for anyone with a slight leak ?

maddyone Sun 28-Nov-21 23:40:12

Sounds like there’ll be plenty of frolicking around the estate, looking forward to it enormously.

maddyone Sun 28-Nov-21 23:42:36

We’ll be needing eggs for breakfast in the morning so a few dozen geese a laying will come in handy.

annsixty Mon 29-Nov-21 02:01:09

Horses for the sleighs we may need if it is snowing heavily.
How wonderful that would be.

kittylester Mon 29-Nov-21 07:05:05

ice cubes for the drinks will be imperative as will exotic ice sculptures which will melt with the all heat emanating from the women around George.

TillyTrotter Mon 29-Nov-21 08:05:11

Jugs and jugs of mulled wine. Hic ! ?

muse Mon 29-Nov-21 09:07:34
