Good morning all from the Black country. Not a lot happening weather wise but at least its dry.
Jaxjacky glad your boiler sorted.
Had quite productive day yesterday, sorted a wardrobe and took bag of clothes to charity shop only 3 more to go. Wrote some cards normally do them 1st Sunday in December so I'm ahead of myself, and I even made some parsnip and pear soup.
Will see what today brings after breakfast may take a trip to garden centre do enjoy their lemon tart.
Best wishes to anyone celebrating and virtual hugs where needed.
Enjoy your Friday and may you all find some ?.

Good morning Auntyflo and all x

GrannyGravy13 Fri 03-Dec-21 08:53:28

Morning all

It’s rather chaotic at Gravy Grange this morning. DD is poorly so we have had the boys since just gone 6am. Got the 6yr old to school after reading and practicing spellings. The Imp is living up to his neck name.

Will come back and catch up when he has his nap

Keep safe and well folks ???

Good morning everyone! A peaceful start here, just drinking coffee and starting work.

I'm loving having just three of us in the house, all adults. My son goes to work early , then my husband, then me. I always treasure the peace here (I work from home) since having had my (estranged) son , his wife and family live here while in between homes. It's just me and my pets right now. A little drizzly outside today. Wishing you all a good day! flowers

Good morning everyone from south Manchester where it looks cold out with white cloud. Oh, it’s just started raining.

Yesterday’s trip to the Trafford Centre went well. No queues and not too busy which was pleasant. I had a small list, went into JL, FatFace, Lakeland and Waterstones and ticked everything off.

Today we plan a walk. I need to go to the hair salon opposite the hospital where I used to work to get a patch test done as I’m booked in for a cut & colour there next Wednesday morning. I thought I’d try a new salon for a change! Will buy coffees in the square to go with.

Enjoy Friday all who can. Here’s Matt to cheer us. x

Visit to DH planned for this morning and some on line present shopping this afternoon. I am still too tired to do all that needs doing but gradually getting my mojo back. Hoping that the back will allow me to drive next week but not a lot of indication that it will.

Lovely to read of visits and plans being made. I do so enjoy a glimpse of more normal life, especially Iris’s plans for the luxury of baths once again. Hope we all have a reasonable day.

Good morning from a grey, miserable, damp Essex by the sea.

DH has gone to his boat, I am going to put up the Christmas tree and try and get it decorated before he comes home.

I hope Iris enjoys her baths, she deserves to wallow !!!!!

A worrying phone call with DD1 yesterday about DGD1. We were hoping that starting secondary school would be a new start for her as she was bullied at primary school. She is now in Year 8 and things don't appear to have changed much. My heart breaks for her as she is such a lovely gentle girl. I know my daughter is worried about where all this is going.

Have a pleasant Friday everyone, stay safe and raise a smile xx

harrigran Fri 03-Dec-21 09:27:43

Good morning from a damp and windy NE.
Washer on while I drink my tea in bed.
Burglar alarm maintenance yesterday was straight forward and no work required.
DS arrived early and brought food with him, a few little luxuries too out of his hamper from work. We played Scrabble and he beat me again but only by a few points.
DS arrived without a coat as there was no snow in his village, we had a look in DH's wardrobes and found quite a few coats still with labels attached so DS chose one and it was a perfect fit.
He went home with a few other new items too, easiest clothes shop he had done in a long time.
Have a good day.

Good morning from the Sefton coast where the sun is shining.
Go Iris with those baths! Whatever needs to be done, can it ignored, GrannySomerset? Sending you a comforting hug.
Present wrapping and a swim are as much as I’ll do today.
Here’s a smile, some ? and a ? to brighten your Friday. x

Good morning from a dull Windsor.
Lovely day with DD yesterday in London, lights, shopping and meal in rooftop restaurant in Selfridges.
Looking forward to today with lunch with my late brother in law’s partner, then my sister arrives and we will go to see the Windsor Great Park Illuminations.
I always feel better after a London dose! Particularly at this time of the year, it looks stunning.
Thoughts to anyone worried and thinking of GrannySomerset.
Another card with pastel.

EkwaNimitee Fri 03-Dec-21 09:48:00

Good morning, Mick and everyone from dull damp Carlisle. I too prefer cold but sunny, Pittcity. I was out in the garden yesterday afternoon in the cold and sunniness, and very cold it was too, necessitating a jacket even though I was digging. More turf gone as I'm in the process of creating a border on the opposite side of the garden to the other. In which I had to replant some of my crocus bulbs thanks to the cats, and apply another dose of curry powder. At this rate I shall need to visit the Asian mini-market for a giant drum of it.
I've finished the ironing and may hang a few things on the walls if it lightens up a bit. I find it much easier to do these jobs in natural light. Otherwise, I shall be reading. My DS1 is promising episodes of a favourite sci-fi at Christmas and I want to refresh my memories of the plot and characters by re-reading the books.
Wishing you all a positive and peaceful day.

Good Morning all from dry but chilly Harrogate
Lovely picture HollySteers
Beautiful photo Grammarretto
Yesterday we went to Lidl and got some more children's Christmas presents, They have lovely books that tells the story of where food comes from. Most children think it starts at the supermarket!
Today I might go into town, mainly because I haven't been for a while.
Don't seem to have heard from Marydoll for a day or two, is she all right?
Have the best day you can folks.

Mapleleaf Fri 03-Dec-21 10:15:35

Good morning all,

It’s a grey, damp looking day today. However, it doesn’t feel quite as cold just yet.

Meeting some friends for afternoon tea today, which will be lovely - haven’t seen them for a few months, so some catching up to be done.

I hope you all have a good day, keep warm and safe. ? for those of you struggling in any way.

LauraNorderr Fri 03-Dec-21 10:29:30

Good morning Mick, good morning all from dull but dry Anglesey.
Would love to find a pink flamingo soap for Iris and lots of bubbles grandMattie. I’m sure I speak for us all when I say you mean a lot to us too.
Sorry to hear about all the unwellness with grandchildren which will hopefully pass in time for festive fun.
Hope your daughter-in-law feels better soon GrannyGravy. Is this the same girl who had the brain op?
Sorry to hear that GrandpaSomerset isn’t settling well. I’m sure he will given time. Please be kind to yourself GrannySomerset. No need to rush about just sit and breathe for a while.
I have to admit to still lolling in bed after two cups of coffee and must give myself a talking to, very bad habit.
Wishing everyone the best day possible ???

Lizzie72 Fri 03-Dec-21 10:44:20

Morning all, is it me or has Marydoll not posted lately, hope she is OK , and everyone else.

Kalu Fri 03-Dec-21 11:00:06

Good morning all from a dreich day in Glasgow, one of those days which takes my mojo so much longer to get going.

My heart goes out to your GD Sar. GD2 suffered some bullying in her last year at primary plus her two best friends since nursery began leaving her out of any plans to meet up outside of school. Fortunately her confidence eventually returned when starting secondary where she has made some lovely new friends. I sincerely hope things turn around for your GD soon. ?

Pleased to hear you had such a nice time with Philip’s girlfriend GrandM.
Beautiful photo Grammaretto. You sound as fit as a fiddle, enjoy your yoga class.
Hope you have managed to make a dent in the paperwork GrannySomerset. Don’t forget to take some time for yourself.

I have spoken to Marydoll who is resting up for a while but will be back with us soon.

Wishing all a pleasant day with snatches of light for those struggling with life at the moment.

LauraNorderr Fri 03-Dec-21 11:04:10

Thank you Lizzie72 super chief procurement officer.

henetha Fri 03-Dec-21 11:38:56

Damp dull Devon this morning, and real rain forecast.
I had a sideboard delivered yesterday and it's so firmly encased in cardboard, plastic and polythene that I can't unwrap it.
It's driving me mad!

Blossoming Fri 03-Dec-21 11:57:11

Good morning Mick and everybody. I’m just sneaking in under the wire!

It’s cloudy and drizzly in my corner of Lancashire. Currently 9°C. The rest of the Christmas presents for family arrived yesterday, will find Christmas cards which are stored away somewhere and start preparing to send things off. My plans for today are clearing yet more paperwork, physio exercises and cycling (indoors).

Stay safe and warm all ??

dragonfly46 Fri 03-Dec-21 13:01:30

Not much to say these days as my life is pretty boring but I love the cartoons Urms. Matt is so clever and I miss his wit now we do not get a paper.

So sorry to hear about your DGD Sar bullying is horrid. I hope the school are aware and can stamp on it early.

henetha Sat 04-Dec-21 10:50:32

Saturday 4th now. Still can't unpack the sideboard.
