My poor old chap has got a dreadful cough (not COVID) it is getting better but I decided, despite protests from him, that travelling to London by train, crossing by Tube, then a 20 minute walk to see an opera, was not what he should be doing on his first day out. He is still coughing and the other audience members would be cross and I would feel very uncomfortable. It's really quite cold and such an energetic day would set him back, So what did we do instead? Got out the Christmas Train Set and my very old Christmas Village and spent about 3 hours setting it all up. He is now collapsed in front of TV watching American Football and although I am sad we missed the opera, I am very pleased with the train and village. The pic is a bit blurred but you'll get the idea.

Unforch the last performance was yesterday and it was a unique production of an Offenbach opera not performed in the UK for 100 years. Still we didn't dwell on our disappointment (too long).
