Harry’s ‘pop’ at Charles

Harry has apparently had another pop at his dad this time regarding the payment for honours debacle. Harry seems to keep on attacking Charles and I wondered if there might be a particular reason for this. In all of the multitudinous reports on their estrangement I haven’t seen anyone wondering if H is doing this because he believes/knows Charles is not his dad. I am not suggesting that is true but it may be his ‘truth’ as others have put it. Perhaps it would go some way to explain his seeming lack of belonging. Just musing on a grey day, please feel free to wade in or not as the case maybe.

I’d love to know what Nanna8 finds “common”

She's American as well. A nice English girl from an aristocratic family would have been better-but hang on didn't his dad try that? This isn't a family where many mariages last anyway.

Alegrias1 Thu 09-Dec-21 09:17:56

If only he'd married somebody refained none of this would have happened.

“ dreadful, common wife ”. Dear oh dear, did you honestly just say that ?

He needs to grow up. What is he, a perpetual grumpy teenager ?Him and that dreadful, common wife of his need to just pull their heads in.

Can't help this started with his meeting and marrying Meghan who seems determined to undermine the Royal Family.

It is indeed very sad when there is estrangement in any family. I speak with personal knowledge of this, because my sister who had, and still has mental health issues, estranged her entire family many years ago, and the estrangement lasted for seven years. It was very painful for those of us who she estranged. One of the casualties was the children, who never regained the closeness with their cousins that they’d had before. Therefore I think it very sad that Harry and Meghan are estranged from both their families, and that this is played out in public. If this continues, their children will have no relationship whatsoever with their cousins, or aunts and uncles. They also have only one grandparent in reality. It’s really very sad.

I do feel sad for Harry because he has alienated himself from his own family and from most of Meghan's family too, whereas William has been embraced by the love and security of the Middlwton family. I read recently that the Middletons are good friends with Charles and Camilla too.
I remember the days when Harry used to holiday with Kate's family, visit them in Berkshire and be friends with Pippa and James. I'm not saying he should live in their pockets at all, I'm just sad that he didn't grasp how important it is to have extended family who don't speak to the press and who would have supported him through thick and thin.

So sorry, only just noticed and in case no one has corrected it; Elizabeth II is descended from Margaret Tudor who married James IV of Scotland; Mary Tudor married Louis XIII of France, then Charles Brandon, Duke of Suffolk.
One of the reasons I like royal families; their family trees are fascinating.

Yes, it was mentioned but not in such detail, eazybee, thanks for that.

And better documented than most.

Oops, correct, thanks eazybee.

Harry met him in a pub then met him again in Clarence House, just happened to be Charles’s home.

Anniebach Wed 08-Dec-21 16:07:41

They met more than once ,

Sparklefizz Wed 08-Dec-21 16:00:35

But it's Harry who has jumped in here to give his father a kicking.... again.

Harry has denied he introduced the millionaire, Harry always
speaks the truth doesn’t he, but in fairness perhaps like his
wife he has forgotten

Let's get this right Harry and Sentebale accepted one donation from this man, they met once and then say they cut ties with him. Charles accepted millions, met the man on numerous occasions, awarded him a CBE, his aide has resigned and the matter is being investigated by both the Met police and the Charity Commission but it's Harry being criticised on here. But of course no one hates him do they?

But....but...but... Harry baaaaddd!!!

Meghan made him do it! (Even though they hadn't met then.)

Anniebach Wed 08-Dec-21 15:01:22

Yes accepted one donation , met him in a pub then met him in
Clarence House , his father’s home

Bridgeit Wed 08-Dec-21 14:35:01

When in doubt, it’s easy to find out.
So if there has been doubt, I’m sure that the truth was ascertained along, long time ago. ?

Harry has always been paranoid about Meghan's safety. Apparently he wanted to pay (from tax payers' money?) for her to have a private bodyguard when they had not long been together. At the Invictus Games in Toronto when she sat in the stands, Harry ensured there was a bodyguard directly behind her. I can sort of understand that because Meghan had always been keen to put herself out there on social media and she was a known face.

maddyone Wed 08-Dec-21 12:58:32

Diana was killed in a car crash. She wasn’t wearing a seatbelt. The driver was both drunk and apparently speeding. Why would Megan be killed?
The best way for anyone, including Megan, to avoid dying in a car crash, is to wear a seatbelt.

Anniebach Wed 08-Dec-21 12:40:57

William has always spoken with love about his mother , he hasn’t used her as Harry has.

His fears for Megan’s safety because his mother was killed when with Dodi Fayed. Why wasn’t she killed during her two
year relationship with Hasnet Khan .

Germanshepherdsmum Wed 08-Dec-21 12:33:30

Yes it is. Which imo points to someone working on him after the marriage to change his mind and loyalties.

Sparklefizz Wed 08-Dec-21 12:16:40

Good point, Annie

Anniebach Wed 08-Dec-21 12:15:59

If Harry had such angst why did he have his father escort his bride to be to the alter ?

jaylucy Wed 08-Dec-21 12:05:49

What always amuses me with the "Charles can't be his father" idea is because it mainly stems on the colour of his hair , when people either forget or ignore the fact that the Spencer family are quite renowned for their red hair and down to genetics it is quite likely that at least one of Diana's children would have been a red head - take it from one whose family has red hair threaded throughout the family!
I think it more likely that these apparent digs are more to do with Charles' relationship with his current wife!
Harry has always been the one that has sided with his mother and so may still have some unrecognised or admitted angst against his father I think. But that is just my opinion.
