Right, I think I'm settled after having read the goings-on. A huge thankyou to everyone again. I must say that when Urms's phone call came out of the blue I was more than thrilled to hear her, I will reciprocate at some point. A lovely lady as I thought she would be
Finally the wind's gone, outside of course. It seemed to have been never-ending and when it was at its worst on Tuesday------I was having a new front door fitted so it was blowing a gale inside as well as out and I was perished. Still, it's done now but the letter-box is as stiff as kitty's leg and is shredding things hahahaha. I suppose it'll slacken in time.
I'm managing Christmas preparations in fits and starts but can't seem to have an unbroken go at anything, as expected, the mail men are delivering constantly so a build-up of boxes and wrappings ensues to be got rid of. Kiddie parcels !
Yes, daughter now has 6 of the 7 of them to look after and boy has she been busy. I think some of you will remember the builders being at her house this time last year to manoeuvre her large bathroom around to make way for an extra bedroom----well this year it's been the turn of her huge kitchen to be whittled down to make another bedroom.
A work of art carried out by the same builders, they've done brilliantly so now her original 4 bedroomed house is now a 6 !
All the kids fit in nicely and are as happy as Larry. It's all been a massive upheaval to say the least but at least they're all well and looking forward to the festive season.
Ruby will be joining them all from Durham in a couple of weeks.
A bit of a stumbling block at the moment because I'd said I'd give D a hand preparing the feast on the day but with this new strain of Covid ( Omicron, an anagram of Moronic )
is slightly scary with me only having had the one vaccination leaves me wide open. I'm on a bit of a cleft stick as to what to do really. Play it by ear for now I think.
I'd better cut this short and continue another time, meanwhile I'll dive into the crumpets now as tum is rumbling like an old drain. I've kept well by the way, thank goodness.
Much love to all of you. xx to be contd.
