Good morning everyone from the east coast of Fife.
I’ve no idea either what the weather’s like except to say rain is expected at 10am today.
I’ve yet to peek beyond these curtains. But I do hear a little wind and it’s not from me
Yesterday brought great trauma for all in this household.
Thankfully a good nights sleep been had by all.
I feel like a new woman today ^

Good morning everyone from south Manchester where it’s mild and dry at present. The grandchildren have booked tickets to see Father Christmas at the Trafford Centre after the Boy Wonder gets back from his football match, which will be starting any minute. Home, quick shower and off! Also the 4 of them have tickets to try the ice skating in the winter rink there. I love that mummy never tells them any plans the night before so they don’t go to bed fizzing with excitement and go to sleep as normal. The big reveal is always when they get up and it’s “guess where we’re all going today?”

Himself will be watching the qualifyers for tomorrow’s Grand Prix which he assures me is the best final race of the season in a long time. I believe him. ?

We’ve offered to take L’il Miss to her school Christmas party this afternoon and this evening I’ve got my book club Christmas meal at a French bistro in Lymm. So all in all we all have a busy weekend. Our Yorkshire Lass and her partner drove up to Peterhead, north of Aberdeen, yesterday to spend the weekend with old friends from university days.

Had a lovely day yesterday. Morning coffee and a toasted tea cake in a barn with a friend, Orlin made his specialty for lunch, a spicy Welsh Rarebit and a family zoom quiz in the evening followed by lots of laughs, those boys can be quite naughty but very funny.
I hope your daughter comes home fit and well today Gingster.
Hope the family feel better soon Cornergran. And same to all the covid warriors out there.

Good morning all from Glasgow. I fully expected a frosty morning as it was evident at bedtime but, no sign, just damp now and so very calm outside.

As both GDs are passed the large personalised Christmas stockings I made for them when they were toddlers, your tote bag would be a perfect replacement GrandM as they now prefer perfume, another couple of small gifts and money to buy clothes of their choice.

I noticed tulips for sale recently kitty but resisted buying any as I have amaryllis, paper whites and hyacinths on the go and running of surfaces to display them.
Good result for your DH notgran. A late lunch and some mulled wine to celebrate….and why not? I like your thinking.

DD1 will be dropping GD1 and three friends off in town later to do their Christmas shopping. Oh to be sixteen again, meeting friends in town on a Saturday to explore the delights of Chelsea Girl and a warming lemon tea at The Russian Tea House. Happy days.

F1 for poll position to watch later after which, I will hold DH to his promise of assistance to bring down the boxes of decorations from the attic which is where his assistance ends in that area.

Hoping a pleasant Saturday is in store for all.

Good morning from a very frosty north of Scotland. I’ve had a wakeful night wondering how our Christmas plans and travel are going to work out. Probably best to take things a day at a time but it is all rather concerning.

Good morning Mick and everyone from a rather grey Carlisle. I believe rain is forecast later so I'm probably not going to get out in the garden where turf lifting is slowly proceeding. Hopefully, stronger muscles will be applied in January...DS2 is coming all the way from Australia to help out. Well, not the only reason he's coming!
Apart from gardening, I shall proceed with more picture hanging and start another book. DS1 tells me that the TV adaptation is not good unfortunately.
I shall also be keeping a close watch on F1. I dreamt the result the other night and I'm hoping I'm wrong.
While I need more bags like a hole in the head, I couldn't resist one of grandMattie's were she to start marketing them, they are lovely.
Do get out and enjoy some company, Ashcombe and I hope you feel better.

Very lazy start to the day and I'm not sure what we will be doing, although I expect DH will watch the F1 when it's on.
Sorry to hear that you have been under the weather Ashcombe. Those migraines with 'halos' are not nice.

Late good morning from south London where we had a red sky here at 7 am and frost! Cleared now though. We had a hunt the glasses day yesterday as DH was getting more and more anxious as he couldn’t remember where he’d put them. Luckily, they were found 10 minutes ago so peace may reign today! ?

You have my sympathy Ash. Although not prone to headaches myself, I witnessed DH suffer horrendously painful migraines over the years. After years of trying every treatment available, they suddenly stopped. ?

Good Morning from the Scottish Borders where it is grey and dreich.
The Matt cartoon made me chuckle Urms -so horribly true.
2 events which I was looking forward to have been cancelled so far and I have my fingers Xed that my train trip to Nottingham to see DS and family will happen next week.

Meanwhile my decluttering continues. The old freezer left for a new home this morning. At this rate I will have an empty house by circa 2030.

I love your bags grandMattie I am almost inspired to get the sewing machine out myself. Just have a cup of coffee and read a bit more first and the feeling may pass.

Good morning from the NE where it is dry. There was a harsh frost at 1am and 4.40 when I got up to get painkillers.
Hardly any sleep with pain in the left side of my neck and in the shoulder, I think I must have pulled something while carrying shopping, I am not used to going shopping but the family think it is a good way of getting me out of the house.
Yesterday I felt very weepy, my sister's stepdaughter sent me a parcel with chocolates, candle and a little angel with a verse on the tag, it was so lovely.
There has been another death in our extended family, sadly he was only 24 but an epileptic, we think he had a seizure and sustained a head injury.
Family visiting again this afternoon but must do some housework first.

Going to take the Christmas tree out of the water butt so that it can drain for a couple of days after having a good drink before bringing it inside to decorate. Christmas cards to write so that I can post on Monday. Dogs to walk, no gardening today as it is raining! Then some declutter it before I put up the decorations.

Good (late) morning from rather grey West Sussex. I should be following DH to the allotment where there is a pile of horse manure rapidly being depleted by more energetic gardeners. We must claim our share.
I just thought I should take a few moments to thank Mick and GMers for their daily posts which I read but rarely reply to as I am usually too late to get going.

I’ve finished my coffee so must be off ‘on my bike’ to the allotment. Back to do Christmas cards and baking if I’m not too collapsed.

Good morning all from Cloudy Chambers northwest coast.
Tired today after lovely day trip to Castle Howard in Yorkshire, but it was worth it as it was decorated in the Narnia theme and very beautiful indeed. I don’t know about beer and skittles jaunts, I should put my mind to Xmas, but I did buy stocking fillers in the gift shop.
We were held up at times on the coach by a poor obese woman who had great difficulty manoeuvring herself, particularly on the little feeder bus with a narrow aisle, her husband was a saint.
Thoughts to harrigran, ?epilepsy is a cruel and frightening thing, my husband developed it.
