How do you drink your Bailey's?

This 'thing' for Bailey's has passed me by but I'm determined to try harder so - how do you drink your Bailey's? What sort of a glass, with ice, without, with something else?

And does it actually have an apostrophe?

We had a beautiful greyhound who was partial to Baileys.

I'd left some on the bookcase which was by a sofa and gone upstairs to sort the children out.

Came down to find him sat on the sofa with his two large paws clutching the glass as he sipped away

Had to make sure we kept it well away from him after that.

I was just amazed that he had managed to pick the glass up with his teeth and set it down so carefully.

Neat, room temperature, small brandy style glass. Oh yessss.......

Only poured over steaming Christmas pudding - delicious.

ixion Oh, me too. I drank a whole bottle in one evening recently grin

Over stones not ice so it’s not diluted or with a straw from the bottle - saves on washing up!!!?

I don’t, far too sickly.

Neat with a little ice in some nice cut glasses that were wedding presents. Also like some in a coffee. I’ve like the ice cream idea but not tried it.

I like the original version. My son bought me a bottle of a strawberry version but it was too sweet.

Yes I’ve tried the biscuits Beechnut but wasn’t impressed.

Oldbut oh my word that sounds so good.

In a coffee or chocolate made a cheese cake with it and cocktails I have not really drank it neat.

Twice now I have found an opened bottle lurking in the fridge, opened for a visitor, and poured it down the sink in case it's gone off!
Should try harder.

Georgesgran Sat 11-Dec-21 16:53:35

Sorry, not a fan. Too sickly. I’ll stick with a G&T, thank you,
Is now too early?

kittylester Sat 11-Dec-21 16:56:03

Well, I'm doing my cards so I need something wine

Lincslass Sat 11-Dec-21 16:56:56

Straight in a glass, no ice, in coffee, or over a good vanilla ice-cream, yum.

Calistemon Sat 11-Dec-21 17:01:56

Oh yes, it was nice over icecream
But I kept forgetting about it lurking in the fridge.

Hellogirl1 Sat 11-Dec-21 17:04:04

I don`t like it, hate anything creamy.

Yes very tempting when you open the fridge door?

TillyTrotter Sat 11-Dec-21 17:18:25

Over ice in a whiskey-type short chunky glass.
I prefer M&S original Irish cream liqueur to the Bailey’s brand.

Like BlueBelle in anything that comes to hand but no ice. I did once have a Baileys cocktail with ice cream, that was delicious.
Oldbat not tried it on Christmas pudding but will definitely give it a go this year.

Summer over ice
Winter in latte coffee
Spring and summer straight from bottle !

BlueSapphire Sat 11-Dec-21 17:40:43

A very large one over ice!

seacliff Sat 11-Dec-21 17:45:54

I had a delicious ice cream sundae recently, with local coffee ice-cream, and Baileys. So wonderful.

SachaMac Sat 11-Dec-21 17:52:19

I don’t drink it, far too creamy & sickly for me. My Christmas tipple will be a glass or two of red wine or a large G&T

GrannyGravy13 Sat 11-Dec-21 18:00:05

I drink my Baileys the same as my sherry over ice in a nice whiskey tumbler, and far too quickly.

kittylester Sat 11-Dec-21 18:15:31

We add a slice of orange to sherry with ice gg - lovely.

Does it go off in the fridge? How long does it keep once opened and stored in the fridge?

rafichagran Sat 11-Dec-21 18:24:58

Neat, in a whisky tumbler. I like it with or without ice.
