MawI hadn’t seen your lovely photos earlier of Remy and Otis, what gorgeous children they are!
I’d love to share photos of mine with you all too but I’ve not asked both mums yet so best not!

Soop's welcoming kitchen for kind and caring folk...
(1001 Posts)Here we are again
Happy as can be (in the circumstances)
All GOOD friends and jolly GOOD company.
Welcome. The buffet is waiting. Our retreat is warm and cosy. There will always be a comforting virtual arm around the shoulder for those who need one.
Goodness, soop ! Is that really Torben? He's a tall adolescent now and still a handsome lad. Maw, your little boys are gorgeous - it's good to see Otis so enchanted with his wee brother, Remy. We had a brainstorming session last week about babies' names, but DGD remained unconvinced by some of our suggestions - admittedly mostly outlandish! We'll know the outcome in June.
Ann, so many people have had the 'festive season' disrupted by Covid but you have had the worst luck all told. It must have been discombobulating for your DD as well, driving all that way and back having been confronted with Covid! I hope you won't develop the virus. It's a week since I hugged my DGS who tested positive the following day and I seem to have escaped - daily testing, of course.
Thank you, Grandmajean.
Just popped in to enjoy the lovely photos of DGC.
Granmabatty my boy is just the same - usually a regular communicator but if he is sad he goes to ground. Let him lick his wounds - boys often don't like others seeing their pain.
He knows you care and I am sure will be in touch when he is coping better.
Such beautiful pictures of Torben, thank you soop, he looks very happy. My favourite pictures always seem to include water, seaside, rivers or lochs I don’t mind but I think I was definitely meant to be near the sea. I’m not even a Pisces either!
Have just looked back at your previous post Granmarie and want you to know how sorry I am to hear of your family's dreadful Covid experience.
The narcissi are for all you Grans with fears and worries.
Hellogirl and Maw lovely photos of the little ones and Soop such a handsome grown up Torbin.
Grandmabatty well at least he’s posting. Hope things are ok with him. Try not to worry and enjoy your curry karaoke.
annsixty hope you dont overdo it. Get the family to help as much as you can. What a shame the LFT result has spoilt the family trip must be lovely to see them all though.
TOYA ?
Logging off for today. Grey and damp outdoors. Time to light the log fire and reeeeeeeeeelax.
TOYA

Grandmajean The vase of narcissi could not be lovelier. I swaer that I can smell their perfume here in Kintyre.
As for Sweetie Pie
we are still uncertain.
annsixty Us lot are willing you to remain Covid-free. You must continue to take great care of yourself. Please.
Dogsmakemesmile Safe, stress-free travels.
Grandmabatty A comforting virtual hug and remember...stay patient.
Thank you, Jaxjacky.
So much news since I last posted. I’m pleased you’ve heard indirectly from your son Grandmabatty, boys, mine was the same ? improved.
Your goddaughter has been through so much Grannmarie, what a brave girl, may she continue to heal in all areas.
Pretty Grandmajean, I’ve shown MrJ, hint, hint.
We’ve been out around my old stomping grounds today, an education for MrJ. It’s getting a tad chillier, how people take to the water in winter is beyond me.
Thank you, Soop and Sue.
Torben looks very professional, Soop, what a marvellous present! It sounds like your visit with friends has done you a power of good, rounded off with Tom Hanks, one of our favourite actors. We recently enjoyed his new movie, Finch? Fitch? Heartwarming.
annsixty, I hope you manage to avoid the virus, maybe you should rest and isolate in your bedroom, get negative family members to leave a tray at your door? Wishing you and your family well.
Sue, like you, I have had lovely soup, made from yesterday's leftover lentil soup with the addition of leftover carrots, broccoli and cauliflower from yesterday's steak pie dinner. I blended it all together and added fresh flat leaf parsley, easy lunch!
Dogs, enjoy your trip!
Grandmabatty, thinking of you, ??
Grandmajean, thank you for the beautiful narcissi!
Afternoon Kitcheners !
Hope the Covid sufferers improve soon and don't pass it on.
Glad you've heard from your son Grandmabatty even if indirectly. We never stop worrying about our children.
A drum kit Soop ! Wonder how long it takes to sound good ?
Was so pleased to hear Sweety pie had visited again. Is she / he a boy or a girl Soop ?
My cat is male but I often call him Sweety
Pie.
Treated myself today to a bunch of narcissi
Which make a nice change from the tired poinsettias !
Good morning lovely Kitcheners, so many beautiful family photos today! Who could resist such beautiful babies Maw. Torben definitely has the rock star looks Soop.
You sound so tired annsixty I hope you don’t get Covid and can rest for a few days now x
Good morning . Apologies if I do not address individual people. Thinking of everyone who posts on here. Wet. wet wet here so I will waterproof myself when walking Ddog. Just been for small shop in Sainsbury's . Few customers. Shelves full. Packing for our trip away. Determined to be travelling light. Take care everyone. Stay safe.
Now the tiredness is wearing off I realise of corse we certainly shouldn’t be going out so have settled on a delivery of a Chinese-takeaway, early evening.
My family will leave first thing in the morning.
My D wasn’t up to driving back today which would mean two 300 mile drives in two days.
So much news here! Forgive me if I miss anyone. Topsy a new baby to look forward to! ❤️
Grandmabatty it’s so worrying when our children don’t reply to messages. I usually ask one of their siblings if they’ve heard from them and generally, they have.
Grannmarie, your poor goddaughter. What an ordeal she has been through.
Maw, such cute photos! Soop’s right, we do love a fresh baby. My youngest dd is working in the Maternity Unit on her current rotation. She loves all the new babies, though says she’s not having any herself.
Yesterday I made Back-of-the-Fridge soup, from left over veggies, mainly onions and peppers. It was v good, even if I say so myself. All signs of Christmas were removed on Saturday and yesterday was spent clearing the kitchen & utility and two bathrooms ready for the decorator coming today. My kitchen now looks twice as big without all the clutter! ? This is all quite discombobulating, though, as I’m typing this in the sitting room. I never use the sitting room in the mornings, I should be in the kitchen!
The temperature has dropped but no doubt we’ll go out for a breather later. It seems to have stopped raining so that’s good.
Good morning all and a belated Happy New Year.
For many of us it has to be better than the last one.
What a kerfuffle we have here.
My D and two adult GC left home early yesterday to travel here to spend a couple of days.
My GD got up feeling unwell and tested positive on a LFT.
Too late for them of course.
She tested again later, same result, not PCR any where within the region as it has been for many days so we wait for a postal one.
She has not left her room except for the bathroom when we have all been downstairs, we can use the downstairs one.
I suppose it is inevitable that I will get it now, oh well.
It is nice to see the family but must admit they are hard work.
They don’t realise my age and I was extremely tired last night so couldn’t get to sleep with the result I had to come back to bed this morning.
Now all sorted but they will want to go out, perhaps for lunch so I must-gird my loins.
Have the best Bank holiday you all can manage.
Thanks again everyone. We are having a family curry karaoke night tonight. Son has posted on family WhatsApp that he won't be coming. But at least he's posted. My heart aches for him, whatever has happened. Maw lovely photos. Have a good day all.
We spent an hour and a bit with our good friends. Their company was the best tonic ever. Returned home to watch wonderful programmes about our favourite actor - Tom Hanks.
Grandmabatty Stay strong. It's difficult, as many of us lot can testify. However, there will be an answer. Patience is a virtue...^or so we are given to believe^.
Grannmarie Your goddaughter has been through beyond what many of us can begin to imagine. I send my good wishes to her for ultimate peace of mind and a healed body.
What lovely children Maw! And I love the dinosaur too!
Beautiful children, Maw.
Thank you, Tilly.
