Best credit cards for airline travel

I might be cynical but I suspect a recommendation for a well know Credit Card will pop up soon.

I have googled, Oopsdaisy1, and it has brought up tons of hits. But I was hoping for recommendations based on personal experience, as they tend to be the best.

Perhaps my OP was worded badly, I was really hoping for tips and suggestions on how to use credit cards to get the maximum number of miles, and which cards are the best ones to use in which situation, that sort of thing.

I hear from seasoned travellers that there is an art to it, and to use different cards for different kinds of travel.

Seriously? Travelling in the time of Covid? Does she live on planet earth?

Parsley3, she plans to start travelling once the pandemic is over.

I presume these cards will need to be applied for well in advance though. Just as well to gather info now.

We have used the BA Amex one for many years now, for the air miles.
