We have used the BA Amex one for many years now, for the air miles.

That makes THREE threads on this subject - why?

Plenty of time to do the research then.

Parsley3, she plans to start travelling once the pandemic is over.

I presume these cards will need to be applied for well in advance though. Just as well to gather info now.

Seriously? Travelling in the time of Covid? Does she live on planet earth?

I have googled, Oopsdaisy1, and it has brought up tons of hits. But I was hoping for recommendations based on personal experience, as they tend to be the best.

Perhaps my OP was worded badly, I was really hoping for tips and suggestions on how to use credit cards to get the maximum number of miles, and which cards are the best ones to use in which situation, that sort of thing.

I hear from seasoned travellers that there is an art to it, and to use different cards for different kinds of travel.

Reported. This poster has two finance related posts. Caution needed.

As this is a ‘non advertising’ chat forum you should Google your question.

I might be cynical but I suspect a recommendation for a well know Credit Card will pop up soon.

Please suggest the best credit cards in the UK that are useful to accrue airmiles and free hotel stays and all that sort of thing. Those that have an annual fee as well as those that don't. My sister has recently retired and is planning on a lot of travel. She's saved up just to travel, not having been able to do so for well over 20 years due to other committments. She is wondering how best to go about this in order to get some free tickets. I am told if you choose your credit cards wisely you can really make good gains travelwise. TIA.
