Good morning all from Torbay where it is actually dry but breezy still this morning.

Reflecting on past New Years' Eves (pre Covid) when we would enjoy super evenings at The Buccaneer, complete with disco and much Prosecco. Not this year. Sadly, our landlord and landlady are retiring wef midnight tonight so no celebration! ☹️ We shall miss them but hope the long serving staff are retained by whoever takes over as we are always made so welcome by everyone.

Last year the cruise ships moored in the bay sounded their horns at midnight which I found heartwarming and comforting but they are now back to ploughing the seven seas.

I hope the New Year brings better health to those who suffer and peace of mind to us all as we anticipate a brighter tomorrow. Peace and happiness to you all, my friends.???????

Good morning all from Polmont. 9°, dark and pouring rain. Daisytwoshoes do you know something we don't? ?
Yesterday was a babysitting afternoon. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Dgs1 and I played in the garden. Getting outside was good for both of us.
Today I'm going to Tesco fairly early. I have mum and brother and my oldest friend and her partner coming for dinner on New Year's Day. I will go to bed tonight at my usual time as I don't enjoy Hogmanay. I hope 2022 brings health and happiness to all.

Good morning from wet warm West Berkshire.
I think the plan today is a walk followed by lunch at our favourite restaurant.

Hoping for a better year ahead for all with struggles in their lives.

Good morning everyone from south Manchester where it’s dark and we have light rain. We are off to a local bar tonight to let in the NY with some friends. It’s a small ticketed event with live music, quizzes and a table served buffet. I’ve not stayed up till midnight for years and I’m quite looking forward to it as we are going with friends who will then stay over.

Well goodby to 2021. Let’s hope this next year is good to us all and we finally see off Covid restrictions and get our lives back on track.

2022 not 2032 !!

Morning everyone it’s dry here at the moment but drizzle forecast later.
Had a lovely time at the pantomime yesterday.was so nice to see children being children and having some normality in their lives .my two DGS were well into all the singing and laughing at the antics of silly Willie the pantomime clown .
Everyone seemed to be wearing masks and I felt quite safe .
Not a lot on today ., pondering on taking the decorations down .I’m not a big NYE fan .
Take care and have a good day .thoughts to all with troubles or are feeling under the weather.?
Hope 2032 is a better year for us all

Good Morning to you all from Severnside. Still very dark and some of the windows are wet.

I’m off to do a shop shortly. I like to go early too.

I can’t believe it approximately two years since we got into Covid times. The years quickly go by. Anyway there are only hours to go before we march on into the next and see what it will bring, so I’d like to wish you all a Happy and healthy New Year ????

Good morning from another wet -but weirdly warm - Derby.
It’s been 12 degrees all night - I had to get up to open some windows to let some cool in.
I’m praying that there won’t be much firework action tonight.
It terrifies little Gracie, and I feel so sorry for the farm and wild animals.
Only one ‘Fanny’s Funny’ today, but it’s a corker.
Wishing you all the best day that you can muster x

Good morning from North Wales.
I really must get going today. A busy Christmas and too much food has made me lethargic.

Enjoy the party Mick.

The last day of the year makes me think about the the past year and the year ahead. I hope 2022 will be a better year for all who have struggled this year.

I am lying in bed in my West Oxfordshire village and can hear the torrential rain outside! I had a lovely day yesterday in Kew with my son and his family. Today OH and I are having New Year’s Eve lunch at one of our favourite restaurants near Oxford.

Good morning from yet another of those dark sullen days. But… the days are getting longer by some 3 minutes daily!
I am determined to regain my joie-de-vivre even if the vavavoom takes a while to return!
We had a lovely afternoon and evening playing “Crew”. It is a cooperative card game, and, as I’m not remotely competitive, enjoy it enormously. I strongly recommend it to those with big GS who enjoy playing such things.
I set the bread maker on the timer and am enjoying the smell of freshly baked bread, all ready for my two boys’ full English when they make an appearance.
GS is off this morning, readying himself for his shift at his wedding venue job this evening.
Hope Auntieflo, Marydoll and all the others who need love and cuddles, feel happier in themselves.
May 2022 bring better news, greater happiness and health. Carpe diem, my dear friends. ?????

Good Morning everyone from a dark and mild south coast.

We are off to get the click and collect from Tesco at 7am. Prefer an early slot as the roads are quieter and as I am always up early it gets it done and dusted.

I have been sorry to read that so many GNs are finding life hard at the moment and hope that the turn of the year brings some peace, better health and more happiness to us all. It has been such a hard 2 years. sunshine

The breakfast bap does sound appetising Mick - enjoy! We shall be having our croissants and coffee weekly treat when we get back from Tesco.

Have the best day you can everyone as we bid farewell to 2021.

BlueBalou Fri 31-Dec-21 06:05:25

Good morning Michael, how are you today?
Another drippy start here, it’s getting rather monotonous now!
A breakfast bap sounds good, we sometimes have breakfast at our local village cafe.
Enjoy the party later ?
