Prince Andrew Can't Sweat

Doing wrong is not black and white even in law.

My own father who of course had never heard of Prince Andrew, could not sweat. My mother , who had never heard of Prince Andrew, told me this when I was was girl . My mother did not explain about the adrenaline thing as she had no medical knowledge, but after Andrew's admission about not sweating . I can understand how hormones are affected by some severe life events. My father was at the Eastern Front during the Great War.

Also in support of Prince Andrew, he probably did not even know that it was illegal or even immoral to shag an unknown and poor seventeen year old girl. Very rich people have odd childhoods, and it takes special efforts by parents and teachers to teach them what real life is.

Marital rape is so different, not easy to walk away with a family.

What I don't quite get, if Miss Giuffre was so badly abused - why is she looking so radiantly happy in her very skimpy little top in the photograph with Andrew. Please don't shoot me down - I am seriously confused by this.

skimpy little top?!
A) who cares how skimpy a top is?
B) that top was not skimpy in the least for that time period

And VG's experience was so terrible she allegedly returned twice more.
That is why I don't believe her.

What do you think about marital rape then? If you think that no one would ever go through it more than once?

It's very common for childhood abuse victims who are often abused by people close to them to go through an adolesant stage where they think sex=love

Virginia Giuffre was abused as a child. Her abusers continued to control her as she grew older. She was possibly hugely emotionally damaged after her experiences. Perhaps she believed in fairy tales and imagined she had found a prince when the photograph was taken. So she smiled.
There must be thousands of photos with families smiling for the camera when they were in the middle of a family war.

Zoejory please refer yourself to Iam64s last comment as they made a better point than me

17 year olds are not adults

17 year olds can join the armed forces. They're not children

Iam64 Thu 13-Jan-22 21:45:26

Some of those 17 year olds were once younger, abused children Their experiences would mean they were so
Much more vulnerable exploitable than other 17 year olds who had more secure developmental years

Some posters have referred to abused children.

MissAdventure Thu 13-Jan-22 21:37:58

Victims of trafficking can be any age.

Anniebach Thu 13-Jan-22 21:32:19

Sorry but i don’t think of 17 year olds as children.

Iam64 Thu 13-Jan-22 21:20:27

Apologies Violet, t xposted with your second post on disassociation.

Iam64 Thu 13-Jan-22 21:19:49

VioletSky is right to point out everyone, including abused children, a]is different.
Ask any police officer tasked with going through videos, photographs of children subjected to inhuman abuse

VioletSky Thu 13-Jan-22 21:18:23

Also I think I explained previously on this thread what disassociation is and how it gets victims through the bad times. You should Google it, it is very easy to understand.

I still dissasociate in certain circumstances.

VioletSky Thu 13-Jan-22 21:15:58

We aren't all the same Anniebach

There are lots of photos of me smiling as a child, it is one of the justifications my mum uses for how it "was a wonderful childhood".

It is amazing how when the cameras come out abusers become wonderful people and it's OK to be genuinely happy in those moments you feel safe.

Anniebach Thu 13-Jan-22 21:09:46

VioletSky I doubt any actor or model have been photographed after being raped. Giuffrie has said how frightened she was, fear shows in the eyes.

She told a friend she was excited .

I can understand just a little of your horrific abuse, a friend was
abused from a young child into her teens by her father, I so
remember our school days, she would flare up at others, refused invitations to parties.

I'd like to know how my daughter managed to look so sparkly, considering what she was living with.
I would defy anyone to have been able to tell.

Thank you Miss Adventure , I’m sorry about what your daughter lived with.

I’ve seen many photographs of abused children looking happy and relaxed, yes even with sparkling eyes

I think you are right Allsorts

VioletSky Thu 13-Jan-22 20:56:19

If one is frightened, distress, they can smile for a photograph but it is not possible to make one’s eyes sparkle.

How do actors and models manage?

Allsorts Thu 13-Jan-22 20:56:12

It is sickening all those rich entitled men, gathering in a millionaires paradise with girls on tap. Obscene, debauched, the girls from dysfunctional homes becoming part of that when still children and groomed to accept it. I’m glad the judge has their measure. I think Andrew will settle out of court before it goes to trial, but only if he takes responsibility, the royals cannot have a court case and I can’t see anyway round it. He won’t be so arrogant after all this.
