Prince Andrew Can't Sweat

Doing wrong is not black and white even in law.

My own father who of course had never heard of Prince Andrew, could not sweat. My mother , who had never heard of Prince Andrew, told me this when I was was girl . My mother did not explain about the adrenaline thing as she had no medical knowledge, but after Andrew's admission about not sweating . I can understand how hormones are affected by some severe life events. My father was at the Eastern Front during the Great War.

Also in support of Prince Andrew, he probably did not even know that it was illegal or even immoral to shag an unknown and poor seventeen year old girl. Very rich people have odd childhoods, and it takes special efforts by parents and teachers to teach them what real life is.

Ha, ha - love it!

Having a lot of money is not a crime. Depending on how you got the money and how you spend it you may be a criminal, or simply immorally greedy.

You are missing the point wwm. This is about VG’s civil claim against PA. The criminal case against GM has been concluded apart from the sentencing.

Exactly.
VG was 17 at the time so certainly not against the law here in the UK.She also looked 17 going on 25 and looked very happy to be in his company.
I don’t think there is a cat in hell’s chance of any retribution for PA in this matter ( from the courts) but it has harmed his reputation for sure.

Er there are a range of laws within the UK about sexual consent and many of them set 18 as the limit. This also didnt happen in the UK.

Anniebach Mon 03-Jan-22 17:26:30

I don’t think the opening of the files is going to stop the case.

lemongrove Mon 03-Jan-22 17:27:09

I thought it was alleged to have happened in London, after a visit to a nightclub?
Either way, I can’t see her court case being a success.

Galaxy Mon 03-Jan-22 17:28:25

Oh I agree I doubt it will succeed but that's a different point.

MissAdventure Mon 03-Jan-22 17:59:52

There was more than one occasion, allegedly.
London, NewYork, The Virgin Isles.

Interesting to see the brief extracts from the agreement with Epstein which have now been released, in which she releases all potential defendants, and that she was paid $500,000 by Epstein. The legal arguments will interest me.

Whitewavemark2 Mon 03-Jan-22 18:12:29

Windsor can’t win either way, unless he proves his innocence in court.

Mud sticks and he will never recover from this.

Anniebach Mon 03-Jan-22 18:18:44

I agree , regardless of the outcome he must give up all his links to the armed forces.

annie61 Mon 03-Jan-22 18:30:50

He's 61 and hiding behind his mummy's skirts!

There's no coming back to public life for him.

Germanshepherdsmum Mon 03-Jan-22 18:39:46

That’s a very unpleasant first paragraph. Totally unwarranted.

Anniebach Mon 03-Jan-22 18:51:05

How nasty to bring his mother into this discussion, any excuse to mock the Queen

I take it you would disown any child of yours who found themselves in trouble then.
I honestly hope no one on here ever has to suffer through an adult child of theirs being accused of anything.

MissAdventure Mon 03-Jan-22 19:00:33

I would expect my adult child to man up and face the consequences of their actions, whether that was to prove their innocence or admit their guilt.

Bet you would still support them, and pay for their defence though.

MissAdventure Mon 03-Jan-22 19:07:10

That would depend what you mean by "support".
I'd support them to tell the truth, yes.

Anniebach Mon 03-Jan-22 19:08:29

And if he can’t prove his innocence? How can he prove he didn’t have sex with her, she hasn’t proof he did ,

MissAdventure Mon 03-Jan-22 19:09:08

Then presumably the case will be dropped.

eazybee Mon 03-Jan-22 19:12:08

I wouldn't expect anyone I knew to go and stand trial in the USA; their legal system is very different from ours and I don't think it does mete out justice, only ridiculous sentences.

MissAdventure Mon 03-Jan-22 19:13:17

Well, I expect that might be a consideration of someone committing a crime in the USA.

annie61 Mon 03-Jan-22 19:16:45

Whatever the outcome, hopefully this will be a life lesson for the younger royals - be careful who you mix with. With great privilege comes great responsibility.

Anniebach Mon 03-Jan-22 19:17:03

How can any witnesses who worked for Epstein be trusted, and it has been reported that big money will be involved, you have more faith in American justice than I have

Lincslass Mon 03-Jan-22 19:17:57

There was nothing stopping US police from seeing PA here in London. As our police went to interview the woman who killed that young man by driving on the wrong side of the . Hope the bloke who married her at age 13 is also being pursued, but guess he’s got no money.
