Alizarin that is shocking! I’m glad your daughter got back safely. Good luck with your new role Baubles

Good morning Mick and all from a showery and blustery Isle of Anglesey.
Busy couple of days ahead for us with childcare and hospital appointment for Orlin. Our daughters has her appointment tomorrow to plan the rest of her treatment.
My thoughts are with Chrissielou, Gymstagran and all going through the same anxious time.
What terrible treatment of your daughter Alizarin, just as well she is confident and obviously competent. Thank goodness for the lovely passenger who helped her.
My thoughts are with GrannySomerset, I think we are all holding your hand dear lady.
I wish we could all jump on those flamingos and escort your flight to Malaga Urms. A little sunshine goes a long way.

Good morning Mick, Annie and all, from a cold and frosty bit of Berks.
My lovely cleaning fairy has just been and worked her magic. I thought she was due last week, but got muddled with the days.

DH had to run the car to the garage this morning as the glove compartment door had come off it's hinge, or something. Seems to be OK now. He didn't ask what had caused it. I would have done, as I like to know what's what, but he is not the least bit interested.
I have some soup to make from a chicken carcass, so that will keep me busy for a little while.
The sun is lovely, but I think I am staying indoors.
Hugs to all who need one today, especially GS.
Have a good day one and all.

Good morning from bright and sunny Sefton.
Christmas decorations have been packed away though we’ve retained a family of robins as they give us cheer.
The treatment of your DD Alizarin is utterly disgraceful. Thankfully she arrived home safely but she shouldn’t have had to deal with such lack of assistance or care. Your complaints should be addressed without quibble.
DGD is back at school today so we’ll pick her up and have a lovely few hours with her. We’re also on DGdog duty 3 days a week. Yesterday we had them both all day and concluded they should be on prescription.
Thinking of those facing and dealing with health issues and praying GrannySomerset is coping.

Good Morning All x
Sunny now and pretty chilly, but earlier on there was a shower of hailstones so shows how cold it is, though only to be expected after a good run of mild weather.

Well yesterday didn't turn out as expected as I'd been "hoping" to break eggs with a big stick and get stuck into some cleaning.
When D arrived with 3 little kiddies, that put paid to that-----I'm glad to say. smile

We had a lovely afternoon as I'd given them their Christmas presents and the noise at times was deafening grin. I'd got one of the girl's ( 9 ) a toy replica of a Singer sewing machine so I started to sing them a little song, it's only about a 100 years old, " Oh, a sewing machine a sewing machine a girl's best friend," etc and the children were tickled pink and laughing----funny nanna, they said.

Then I was treated to a sea shanty sung by the 7 year old girl, who, she told me, sings it at school, loudly ! She's a child with the most gorgeous honey-coloured curls, neither sandy nor blonde. She had a " chip and pin " toy till and pretend foodstuffs. The little drawer was a fascination so I called it an " Arkwright " till. grin---as in Open All Hours.

The youngest who's 5 was more than delighted with a toy bin lorry which made all kinds of sounds so was going around collecting bits off the carpet to put in the little bin.
Someone had rang D while she was here but she had to apologise to the caller because she couldn't hear anything because of the children.

It was lovely to see them but my ears were ringing after they'd gone hahahaha. D has that 24/7with 6 of them but doesn't seem fazed. What ? Patience of a saint !
Needless to say by the time they went it was coming up to teatime, and I'd got nothing done again, but who cares ?

I haven't a clue what I'm having for dinner later but I'll rustle something up after to prepare as there's enough to go at.
There's an enormous potato in the potato bag, so maybe bake that---for about 4 hrs ! with grated cheese.

Well I definitely must swing the duster around if nothing else as the dust had been hidden by the cards and it's more than noticeable now.

Coffee time so I wish all my GNet friends a good day, with thoughts to Chrissielous's DD, GrannySomerset and those awaiting apps. or results.
Scentia I'm surprised that germs get the chance to land on you you're always on the go, but I hope everything's well with you and DH.

Loved the Matt Urms, typical of the present climate grin

Take care all and stay safe.xx Careful underfoot.

Many happy returns birthday girls. ???

Kalu Wed 05-Jan-22 11:34:18

Good morning all from a beautiful sunny crisp day in Glasgow.
I am making the most of it as, according to the forecast, wet days are ahead from tomorrow! Yuck!

I have had to order more stockinette as I realised the polystyrene balls were escaping due to two ladder runs. Reminds me of nylons laddering and putting a dab of nail polish on the run hoping to stop it in its track. Not something that was a quick fix with black stockings when I was a student nurse! A costly business buying supplies of black stockings from my meagre salary.

Your DDs experience was appalling Alizarin There is no excuse.
Thinking of you GrannySomerset.

Good wishes to all for a pleasant day.
