Good morning Mick and all who follow, too dark yet to see what the weather is like in my part of Oxfordshire.
I’m doing the same as you today, Mick, just housework and washing.
Wishing a good day for everyone, with hugs for those who are having a tough time.

Good morning from a still dark E Kent. It is clear as I saw Venus and a couple of stars. I don’t know if it is frosty.
Sunday School went well, with the children making crowns for the visit of the Wise Men. We processed into church wearing them - felt a prat!
Spoke to DS in India, he’s doing ok, still in isolation until Wednesday, but is managing to teach, online I suppose.
Cleaning today. Funny how quickly Monday’s come along.
Special hugs for grannyS and Marydoll, and all those in need of comforting. Carpe diem. ????

Good morning from south Cornwall where it's dry and very still; no wind for a change. Today I'm off to my best buddy's house for coffee, first time in months. Lots of nattering to catch up on. Lovely time yesterday with my granddaughter, such a sweetie. The photo is of her in contemplation before her dad dropped her at mine. I'm wondering who the spare boots belong to! Have the best day you can.

Good morning all from a still chilly North Leicestershire.

We are up at sparrow f**t because the decorators are here again - hopefully for the last time. They are a lovely bunch, do a great job and the bedroom will be fabulous when it's done but I wish they would hurry up!

Sending very best wishes to all who need them and apologies for moaning about my little problem.

Gagagran Mon 10-Jan-22 06:37:03

Good Morning one and all from a dark but dry - I think- south coast. 3.9dgrees but set to rise to about 9 degrees today.

I still haven't got my feel for what day it is back. Normally I know instinctively when I wake up but I have been a day out ever since the Festive Season with all the bank holidays. So today I am doing laundry and hope that the Monday feel will be back ready for Tuesday et al thereafter!

Nothing much on the agenda this week apart from WI on Thursday. DH is going out with his cycling club on Wednesday and it's an all day ride with coffee stop then lunch stop and home before sunset.

Trying to think of a pudding to invent for the Queen's Platinum jubilee. Apparently Dame Mary Berry will be judging the suggestions. We had Victoria sandwich and Coronation Chicken so what will be the Platinum Pudding?

Hope the day is a good one for us all. sunshine

Good Morning All, Chilly here to-day in NE Hants but thankfully no ice on the windscreens. I'm off for a walk with daughter this morning and then an (indoor) swim so I'm glad it is looking not too bad out there. Gagagran, Platinum Pudding? Sounds as though it will be rather hard and brittle but it's pudding I'll give it a go. grin

Jaxjacky Mon 10-Jan-22 06:45:57

Good morning all from a dark S Hants, weather says drizzle, but I can’t see.
Another person doing some housework and towels to wash/dry. Must get a walk in and have a mosey round the garden, see if anything is stirring.
Have a good day Morningstar’s, especially our special star Mick ? for opening this thread every day.
May you spot a ? or ?? today.

BlueBalou Mon 10-Jan-22 06:48:32

Good morning everyone, I have no idea what it’s like outside yet, will find out soon enough when I take pooch for a walk.
I didn’t sleep well so feel groggy this morning. I will need to do a shop sometime, that’ll be the first trip to the supermarket for months. I usually have online shopping but I just have to get out!

NannyJan53 Mon 10-Jan-22 06:53:42

Good morning from a dark and chilly Black Country.

Bright blue skies yesterday, so took Mum off on our usual walk along the Staffordshire railway walk to Tettenhall. We stopped at one point as a Robin was on the path. It hopped along to us merrily chirping. I bent down and it wasn't fazed at all, it flew off when it realised we had no food!

Usual Monday walk this morning. We do between 5 - 7 miles. I hope it is the former today smile

Most of the Christmas goodies are eaten now, so it is back to a more healthy eating.

Wishing you all a good Monday.

Beechnut Mon 10-Jan-22 07:07:21

Good Morning from Severnside to everyone. Another damp start.

I keep looking at them and saying I must do it so I will sweep the leaves up that have swirled into the patio corners. A walk to the post box also to do. If it doesn’t take too long I’ll have a surprise later in the week. My sister in law is going to post a parcel to me today.

Wishing you all a good day while you have your hands in the soap suds ??

GrannyGravy13 Mon 10-Jan-22 07:13:17

Morning Mick and all

Off to the gym this morning and then some bits and bobs to do. Still dark here I think it’s meant to be mild in S E Essex.

Have a good Monday

Keep safe and well folks ?‍♀️?

Grandmadinosaur Mon 10-Jan-22 07:15:05

Good morning all from East Yorkshire. It’s still dark but appears dry.

Had a nice morning walking along the sea front in Morecambe yesterday where it was very bracing and certainly blew a few cob webs away! Had a coffee at the Midland with a view looking out to see. Then we headed home. The journey went much smoother than getting there.

Back home and chores await for me too today. After enjoying walks the last couple of days I want to get out in the fresh air again too. It certainly helps me sleep better.
I am also hoping the lady who is having my Welsh dresser is coming to collect it tonight. Our new one is in 2 boxes taking up room in the hall and living room.

Have a good day everyone. Love and thoughts to all who are having tough times.

GrannySomerset ?

glammagran Mon 10-Jan-22 07:17:22

Sending condolences to GrannySomerset on the recent loss of her dear husband. ?

Gingster Mon 10-Jan-22 07:18:00

Good morning all from a very dark and cold Essex.
How I long to be at my seaside cottage, seeing the sunrise and watching the waves. So relaxing and peaceful!

Today I will do the school runs with little GD, Dh will take DD to the hospital AGAIN! This time to see the Plastic Surgeon.

This afternoon little pooch will have her yearly check and booster.

I’ll miss my first Chiming session of the year, which is sad because it’s so uplifting. Never mind - onwards and upwards!

Twin gs’s (15) went on the train to watch the West Ham game (2 0 to WH) and had ‘the best day ever’. It’s the first time they’ve e been just with friends and no adult. After watching the Hillsborough drama last week, I was a little worried about them ?. Oh dear if it’s not one (or two) to worry over, it’s another!

Love and best wishes to all ❤️

Scentia Mon 10-Jan-22 07:18:56

Good Morning all from East Staffordshire where it is still dark and feels mild.
I am still very feintly positive this morning but on a more positive note my leg feels ok after my day of rest yesterday. I will be popping into the factory today to do some deliveries and then we will come home instead of heating the factory and doing nothing! I am still going to have the GC tomorrow but will not take them anywhere as DD really needs to be back at work. I will need two negatives to be out of ‘isolation’ I bet it changes today to 5 days later today.
Take care everyone and stay safe and warm❤️

baubles Mon 10-Jan-22 07:25:04

Good morning Mick, morning all from cloudy South Lanarkshire.

Feeling stronger which is good as I’m starting my new job today and I’m quite excited about it.

I hope everyone who’s been unwell is a little bit better today.

I’ll catch up with the comings and goings later.

Have a good day. ?

Ashcombe Mon 10-Jan-22 07:34:52

Good morning, all, from a calm and dry Torbay.

Lovely photo, Alizarin! The abandoned wellies add a poignancy to the picture. I echo your comment about Mick, Jaxjacky and we smiled at yours re. wearing a crown, grandMattie! Will your son have the pins removed from his hand when isolation is over? I hope your DD's appointment goes well, Gingster.

Last night we watched The Red Shoes (ballet) on BBC4, which we saw on stage in 2019. It was followed by a documentary entitled Men at the Barre. I’d recommend both to those interested in ballet. They should be available on iPlayer.

My ‘Move It Or Lose It’ class restarts today. I'm sure our lovely teacher will be kind! Enjoy your walks, those who will be doing so - your planned distance is impressive, NannyJan53!

Have a good week, everyone!

Good morning everyone from Malaga where it’s very windy out! The palm trees in the gardens are dancing furiously. What’s it like up there near you Pantsglas? The sun’s up though. If it calms down I think we will go for a good long walk this afternoon as we did nothing yesterday!

Our friends from Bolton who also have an apartment here fly in this evening. The missus will be joining me at LWW tomorrow which I’m really looking forward to. Himself will enjoy ? ? with her husband in Pedro’s while we are gone.

Himself tells me Man. Utd are on tv tonight. Oh joy. All the more reason to do something or eat somewhere this afternoon!

No Matt because it’s Monday. Enjoy the day all who can. x

Susan56 Mon 10-Jan-22 07:51:06

Good morning from Staffordshire. The start of a new term so back to our regular term time childcare.A bit of a shock when the alarm went off at 4.30?

We had a good visit with my mum yesterday.DGS kept her entertained!

Today we will go to indoor soft play so long as it’s not too busy.DGS always finds someone to play with.

Hoping you are feeling better Mary and that the after effects of the steroid injection are lessening???

Thoughts with GrannySomerset?and all with worries and struggles??

Alygran Mon 10-Jan-22 07:54:35

Good morning from North Yorkshire. It’s still dark but with a slight glow beginning on the horizon.
Charity parent group starts this morning in Richmond. Afterwards I may go for a walk round the castle and along the river.
Good luck with your new job Baubles.
I recorded the ballet Ash. Will watch later this week.
Sending good wishes to all who are struggling or poorly.
Have a good day everyone.

Gwenisgreat1 Mon 10-Jan-22 07:55:31

Good morning all from dark Harrogate.
Yesterday we took DGS to soft play. It was the right thing to do. He scrambled round using so much energy, then had a rest in the sensory room, recharging his batteries and off to the soft play area again. One small area was for football and basketball- he was quite adept at getting the ball in the net and in the goal. Can see him being in demand when he’s older.
Today is my chatty day- catching up with telephone calls to my school Bestie and my sisters, with housework in between.
Thinking of those who might be feeling down.
Have the best day possible
