Good Morning Everyone,
Its dark , but its dry outside at the moment here in brackley this morning.
Today a mixture of housework and laundry for me , no plans to go anywhere .
Take Care,
Mick

I'm even clever than you, Newquay, all my various bags of flour are stored in labelled, Click and Lock boxes, to prevent accidents. However, the tub was nearly empty, I needed a new one from my stash and MrMD, as usual, never heard me asking for help. So it was actually all his fault! . wink

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders. Mild and damp when I brought the bucket in. Spring bulbs are sprouting already.
I finally dropped off to sleep about the time you got up Susan56 I always get insomnia if I am anxious. I am to give a talk on zoom later.
Surely at my age I shouldn't be worried about public speaking.
I'm with you Dragonfly and have asked a painter to do the kitchen. I can't face tackling it myself.
Hope everyone's day goes well. Sorry you have worries about DD Marydoll and Gingster

Good morning Mick and all his followers. Since it was about 1 am when we turned the light out, we have not been awake long!
West Suffolk has light grey clouds and a remaining touch of frost. I put out some washing yesterday and forgot to fetch it in, so that’ll need a bit longer!
I am ironing today - I was meant to do it yesterday but I read my book instead!
I have woken with a chesty cough ?. Lateral flow then!
In two weeks time, we have a family gathering planned here, so tidying the spare bedroom and starting a big supermarket delivery order are on my jobs list.
Marydoll my heart goes out to you - as a shorter person, I tend to drop things off high shelves. The mess!
I hope the day is kind to everyone.

Good morning Mick, Annie and all.
The stairlift engineer came this morning and replaced it's"brains", so ? that does the trick, and the intermittent faults have gone away.
Oh Marydoll, trouble in the kitchen! Hope it all gets sorted soon, and you are back to a pristine site once again.
What a beautiful picture Alizarin, of your GD on the beach.
I am going to tackle the kitchen floor this morning, with the steam cleaner. Although it looks clean, we are both having 'sticky' slippers, and nothing spilled.
I didn't go to Church yesterday, as the spirit was willing, but the body was weak. DH went, and said it was almost full house.
To all with worries and difficulties, I hope you find the elusive ??.
Have a good day one and all

Good morning Mick and everybody. At the moment it’s raining heavily in my corner of Lancashire, currently 6°C. Today I have my first DPP meeting of 2022, by Zoom as usual. The usual physio exercises and some cycling (indoors) later.

GrannySomerset sending love and strength.

Wishing you all the best possible day. May all those with worries find some comfort and all who are under the weather find some relief. ?

Today is likely to be busy, with funeral director coming to start planning and need to register DH’s death once the surgery has played its part. Am trying to assess who will need to be officially notified with a certificate and therefore how many I need. Otherwise not asking too much of myself or I will create muddle where we don’t need it.

Have been very touched by messages from friends of my AC who knew us when they were student age and stayed with us or joined us on holiday. I am reminded of incidents I had completely forgotten and what fun DH could be, and it has been true balm to the soul.

Thinking of you GS
A good friend came with me to register Paw’s death having had to do that of her mother not many months before.
On her advice I think I got at least 6 copies of the Death certificate so that I did not have to wait for one to be returned before sending it some other person. Getting subsequent copies is more expensive and can be more faff.
She then took me out for coffee and a ginormous piece of cake - good therapy.

GrannySomerset
I hope your region has the “Tell us once” in place.
The registrar fills in a form and many of the authorities are notified of the death without you having to do it individually.
It is a great help and things happen automatically.
I wish you well with it all, it can be a traumatic time.
We are all thinking of you.

Good morning Mick and all morningstars, I agree with Jax you are a star Mick, up with the larks to greet us all every morning.
What a beautiful photograph Alizarin, one to treasure.
The stunning sunrise pictures almost make me want to get up a bit earlier.
Don’t apologise for a little moan Kitty, lack of sleep and having to get up early for tradespeople can be frustrating. We’re all here to listen to each other whether our moan be big or small.
Which reminds me, I do wonder how Flossiebo is doing, she was in a fug she was struggling to come out of before Christmas. Also EnaSharples who seemed to be struggling with deteriorating health. If either of you are reading please let us know you’re okay.
Much for you to do GrannySomerset, good advice from those who have sadly been through the same. Thinking of you.
Sending positive vibes to all (not covid ones) and wishing all a good day.

Good Morning All x.
Quite breezy and on the cool side but I don't think I'll risk putting the washing out as the sky looks a little on the heavy side.

I made sure that I was showered and crumpeted before doing anything or I tend to dawdle around in my dressing gown ,then before you know it it's lunchtime. Once the weather bucks up, so will I. I can't shift myself the same in the winter.

Some beautiful skies being photographed, they'd make lovely paintings, as would the little girl on the beach---with the spare wellies. Being a bit of a sleuth, I'd be looking for the body they belonged to and completely ruin the ambience grin

Sorry you're not up to scratch Marydoll those sort of days are unfortunately more frequent as time goes on. Soon be Spring x.

It's been a trying time for Gingster too and a couple of others whose AC have been a worry. And worry we do !!

Thinking of GrannySomerset at this time and hope she gets continued support. flowers

I'll be getting the hoover out shortly so the cats will scatter. I've never known anyone as daft as myself. If the cats are comfortably asleep I won't hoover up in case I disturb them.

Roast lamb went down a treat yesterday, so the same today as there's plenty to go at. I'll just have the new pots. and cauli today. Anything to keep the wolf from the door.

Enjoying hearing about Urms holiday. Have a good lunch later. It's all a breath of fresh air as my imagination runs rife.

Stay safe everyone and enjoy the day. xx

Good morning all, it’s a dreich day in Glasgow, no sign of a stunning sunrise here kitty, what a glorious sight.

Same old, same old, groundhog day which, if it weren’t for Mick, I would have to guess which day it is sometimes.

As finding a roofer to refit one slate is proving so difficult, DH decided to go onto the roof and do the job himself! I held my tongue and my breath until he was back on terra firma before I made him promise never to do anything so dangerous again. DIY is not his forte.

Good luck starting your new job today Baubles
Hope your planning day goes smoothly GrannySomerset
Oh dear, Marydoll, a bit of a disaster. Sorry to hear of your concerns for DD.
What a wonderful picture Alizarin.

Best wishes for a good day all and special thought to those who are struggling with worries.

Good morning from the Sefton coast where the weather could be a bit brighter.
Late, I’ve merely spun through today’s GM but I must say the photographs are delightful.
Thinking of you GrannySomerset. ?
Have the best day you can everyone.

grannySomerset registering my mum’s death earlier in the year it was all done by phone. I ordered far too many death certificates as I could do a lot online. The price for them has gone up and it makes no difference when you order them.

Forsythia Mon 10-Jan-22 17:39:54

Just going through similar with passing of MIL just after Christmas. We did the tell them once, others mentioned it, and have ordered 6 certificates which is the same as I ordered for my own mum some years ago.
Thinking of you. ?
