What Hobbies does everyone have ?

Yes crazyH i use mine for make-up and i have 1 upstairs in my drawer that i use for my black, thick tights ( rolled up ) AND i have 1 in my kitchen draw that believe it or believe it not, i keep 2 shower caps in hahahaha, true.

You might say "SHOWER CAPS???" well yes the reason being because i went through a stage of my hair dropping out at any opertune moment, ( menopause) usually when my daughter and GC were here, or THAT'S the is when i noticed it more, anyway i joking said that when they were here i would put a shower cap on so noooooo hairs ended up in their coffee, pop sandwich, blah, blah, blah, sooooo i now keep the 'shower caps' together in 1 of my homemade drawstring bags.

Phewwwwww long winded explanation hahahaha.

Serendipity, love your drawstring bags …. if you decide to sell them, put me down for two or three…..they could useful for my collection of lipsticks, hairbands etc etc

My BiL bought a ukelele and joined a group who meet twice a week to play. He is surprised he is enjoying it so much.

My musically talented grandson says the ukulele is an ideal first stringed instrument to learn. Grandson plays: ukulele; classical, bass and treble guitars; keyboard; drums; and all percussion. The softer strings make it much kinder on the hands than a guitar, and it's less complicated with only 4 strings. Go for it!

Reading is my main hobby, closely followed by cake baking. I also enjoy knitting when my arthritic thumbs allow. Before the plague I used to enjoy taking courses at the V&A in London or at OUDCE in Oxford. Now of course everything is on line, which isn’t quite the same. Although, I attended an in person day school on the Social history of trains in Oxford last year.

Walking, puzzles and reading are the main hobbies at the moment but
my GD has ordered me to start writing again, something I used to enjoy, as I do have the time now but lost the inclination when the pandemic arrived.

I started making quilts a couple of years ago. My hobby kept me busy throughout the Covid restrictions. I sewed away happily, listening to podcasts and audio books. I’m working on quilt number 14 and have plans in my head for what is coming next. Previously I enjoyed knitting and crochet. My other lockdown hobby has been walking, which I never particularly enjoyed before, but I’ve really loved exploring my local area this past two years.

Sewing, knitting a little bit, but I'm not very good. Decorating. DIY in general. Have been known to plaster a wall before.

Right now though, no hobbies because I'm so busy I don't have time.

Oh, that's knocked the wind out of my sails.
It would probably end up shoved in a cupboard somewhere.

I once had a desire to learn the ukulele too MissAdventure. I somehow thought it would be easy. It’s not! I abandoned the plan. I started learning Italian via Duolingo during lockdown and I’m now on a 640 day streak. Whether I’ll actually be confident enough to converse in Italian when the time comes remains to be seen. Supposed to he going in July. We shall see what happens.

This thread has reminded me that Aldi were selling ukuleles a few years back, and my daughter was going to buy me one for Christmas.
It never did happen, so I should really go for it.

Later this month we are to have the Aulis experience at L’Enclume. I am beyond excited.

I wake up in the morning looking forward to the days food and go to bed at night thinking about tomorrow’s.
As a result I have to spend a fair bit of my time at the gym?.

Go for it Miss Adventure. I started in a group of 10 before Covid started. We were all keen and we were able to learn a lot from the internet once lockdown started. It’s difficult to get together now because we met in peoples houses and there isn’t enough room to space out.
I like to play music, but Covid brought me back to doing cross-stitch. I don’t have to go anywhere to do that.

My obsession is family history research. It keeps you entertained (if that's the right word) for ever and ever because one discovery leads to another. It's like being a detective because you have endless mysteries to solve, puzzles to ponder over and real-life stories to uncover.
