six tries at getting the word right..... just one word a day...if the letter turns grey it is not in the word..... etc.

3 for me today. I’m happy with that. smile

It's ok, it doesn't show the word and it's nearly time for tomorrow's anyway.

I just did three Wordle Unlimited and smugly thought "I'm getting good at this ?" then couldn't do the third one!

I have asked the previous post to be taken down I am so sorry.

I failed miserably yesterday. That rocky knoll we know from JFK just didn't come to mind.

I also failed today. I am getting worse with each passing day

It was a grassy knoll grin I got it in 5 but it took me soooo long.

I had convinced myself that only a G could be the silent letter in front of the pesky N!

Today was a 4.

Does anyone use a pen and paper to have a swap around of the letters?

I put X’s where the mystery letters should be so that I can visualise the word

That’s exactly what I do, it does help me.

Where does everyone do Wordle?
I have started to go to bed earlier to do it before going to sleep, satisfied.

I got it in 4 today.

I’m watching Clarkson’s Grand Tour and James May is wearing a ‘Mardy’ t-shirt

There is a place called Mardy not far from here!!

Cherrytree59 Tue 25-Jan-22 17:46:02

After taking 4 yesterday, I have quite by fluke got today's wordle in 2! shock

V3ra I’m so jealous. I love children of that age.
You see them as they will be as ‘grown ups’ when they come out the other side of adolescence.
I really miss working with children sad

Who'd have thought that "mardy" is not a proper word!
?
It is where I come from.

It is here too!

4 today... a very stupid mistake on row 3. Must pay attention!

One of my teachers once wrote on my school report... "****** seems to vegetate at times". I was quite indignant at the time and have always remembered her words. However, over the years I've accepted her comment and admit I did tend to 'switch off' when her lessons involved tricky mathematical problems. I think perhaps this is happening when the going gets tough with Wordle! Will try for a 3 tomorrow... grin

I do Wordle Unlimited too sometimes.
However, one I just got stuck on was the name of a country - it took 5 attempts but there was no alternative answer.

I've been doing this with the 10 and 11 year olds I childmind.
We use a set of wooden alphabet letters and move them around. Any letters that have been eliminated go back in the box. The children are really enjoying it ?

I wasn't sure whether to, or not.
I got stuck yesterday after getting the first few really quickly, but it felt like it would be cheating to write down the letters.

MissA, no I hadn’t thought of doing that. I just do the whole thing fairly quickly which is probably why I don’t fare better.

Bellanonna Tue 25-Jan-22 16:21:32

4 today, so I’m improving !
