anyone tried the new online Wordle word game?

six tries at getting the word right..... just one word a day...if the letter turns grey it is not in the word..... etc.

Pleased to have been introduced to Wordle on Gransnet... I love word games and am really enjoying it. I share the result each morning with DD2 who is also an enthusiast. Did it in 4 today.

Did it in 5 - I found it difficult so I am proud of my 5 goes. TBH I have never done it in less and this is my 3rd day of getting involved smile

I’ve used 4 chances and only managed the last 2 letters. I’m leaving it till after my first coffee and will give it another go.

Grrr.
I’ve had three goes.
Took a ridiculous gamble on my 3rd go, which didn’t pay off at all.
I’m now flummoxed, so have decided to go back to it later.
I’ve never done that before blush

There are 12,500 words allowed in Wordle.
So to get it in one is spooky ?

Looks like it's less than that: According to The New York Times, Josh Wardle and his partner Palak Shah actually went through an initial list of about 12,000 words for Wordle. Shah narrowed down the list to about 2,500, excluding the obscure ones that would be impossible to guess.
