anyone tried the new online Wordle word game?

Pleased to have been introduced to Wordle on Gransnet... I love word games and am really enjoying it. I share the result each morning with DD2 who is also an enthusiast. Did it in 4 today.

Couldn’t get the last two letter right on the last attempt so failed today.

Struggling today so I’ll go back later

Did it in 5 - I found it difficult so I am proud of my 5 goes. TBH I have never done it in less and this is my 3rd day of getting involved

4 today the same as yesterday. I seem to do better guessing rather than thinking .

I’ve used 4 chances and only managed the last 2 letters. I’m leaving it till after my first coffee and will give it another go.

A tough one today but I managed it in four.

I thought it was tricky today - I got there in the end - 5 goes - but had to do a lot of thinking!

I’ve had three goes.
Took a ridiculous gamble on my 3rd go, which didn’t pay off at all.
I’m now flummoxed, so have decided to go back to it later.
I’ve never done that before

There are 12,500 words allowed in Wordle.
So to get it in one is spooky ?

Looks like it's less than that: According to The New York Times, Josh Wardle and his partner Palak Shah actually went through an initial list of about 12,000 words for Wordle. Shah narrowed down the list to about 2,500, excluding the obscure ones that would be impossible to guess.
