anyone tried the new online Wordle word game?

I got it with the second try today. Pure luck! Well, and it was very close to one of my 'magic' words.

First-time four for me too, loved it. It reminds me of the board game “Master Mind”, 2 players with coloured pegs on a plastic board, also a game of elimination.

Good opening word with two correct letters in the right places!
Had two words in mind but made a wrong choice. ?

3 today. Very pleased.

Just did it today.
Richard Osman gave an example where the word ended in -rick. There is more than one answer to this.

He could have given an example of what he thinks it could be but it's not the one correct answer because it doesn't contain all the correct letters.

Got it in 3 today- better than the yesterday which was a dreadful performance!

I just did one and got it in 3. But there can be more than one answer. So it can be a lucky guess.

The balance of luck and skill are a key to its success I think.
It reminds me of playing cards, you have to do the best with ‘your hand’.

Ditto for me tanith 5 goes. Every letter I chose in the first word I tried was wrong.

I’m weirdly reassured that you and tanith both got it in 5 too, Tilly!
It has lessened the shame.

My son and d-i-law introduced me to Wordle - knew about it before but couldn't figure out how to do it - so..... 5 first go and 5 today.
Quite addictive I think!
