Hi well my news was good despite them finding another lump they were both hormone driven and lymph nodes were clear so tablets for 5yrs don't think it's sunk in yet ,so glad no chemo this time ? thanks for all your good wishes and messages ?

Hi everyone

I don't often post but thought I might share some lovely news with those still watching! We have a team of British Gas men working in our cul de sac changing the pipes. Its going to be a 5 week process. I pass them on a daily basis when going for my little walk and always have a friendly word with them. One of them said "I have something for you," He opened the back of their van and took out a shopping bag marked British Gas, which I looked at once I got home. Inside was a hot water bottle, a vacuum flask, a pair of gloves, thermal socks, a beanie hat, a scarf, a red blanket, and hand warmers! I am incredibly pleased! What lovely men they have in the BG team.
Much love to all dear Grans and I hope they and their families have a good day today, especially the poorly ones.

Good morning, Mick, good morning all, from cloudy North Lanarkshire. We haven't seen the sun for a few days now.
I have washed the bedding but it will have to dry indoors, there's no drying outside these days.
I'm sorry to read of so many Grans worrying about the health of their dear daughters/ in law, hoping and praying ? that all goes well for them, and for everyone with illness, worries or sorrow.
Planning a gentle park walk with my sisters this afternoon, then a small shop, as Mick would say, including a balloon for DGS1's birthday tomorrow. His presents arrived yesterday from the big river company as I've not been out much in the past week or so, apart from the wee walks.

Good morning all where it’s pretty dreich looking outside but a lot milder and at least, it’s not raining.

DD1 popped in for coffee after the school run, DD2 in Australia FaceTimed, too late to catch her sister for a blether. My ears are about to drop off as both girls could talk for Scotland.

I really feel for your friend, stuck away in a care home with no company or family visiting GrandmaM. Thankfully she has a caring friend like you.
Such a worrying time for those with concerns about their DDs. Kindest wishes, love and strength to all of you. ?

I must say that I'm genuinely saddened by all the poorly DD's and to be perfectly honest, if it happened to my own I don't know what I'd do as up to now life has been good to them. My heart goes out to you all. x

What a dreadful shock for Gagagran's friend's friend whose DD died suddenly at only 62. How could anyone begin to cope with that ? My own D in Oz will be 61 in a couple of weeks, and I don't think of her as being old at all.

Also sad about your friend toograndMattie as again, I can't imagine being left alone like that, poor old thing Good job you can manage to get to see her.

Had a lovely chat with a neighbour in the garden yesterday and she said she'll be setting up a coffee morning soon so we'll be able to keep up with all that's been going on. I know she's had some hospital appointments about her behind so I'll get to know more.
My next door neighbour's had/ having the same problem too.
It's all happening !

Hope those who are awaiting results aren't too anxious, though easier said than done. Some things are never as bad as they seem. x

Gosh, these days I do take a time to get going and unstiffen (is that a word?) myself.
Nothing much going on today, although I do have a VitB12 injection this afternoon.
After my friend had gone home yesterday, poor old DH took a tumble and landed hard on his shoulder. We had moved a coffee table, perspex so almost invisible, and he turned round and tried to walk through it. We were both shaken and this morning he is very stiff.
Thoughts to all those with family who are having a hard time right now.

Yes my Echo scan was fine, but I had nothing like it when I was pregnant Marydoll Don't think the equipment had reached the Royal Berkshire Hospital in the early 70s. I had midwives listening through a funnel thing to what was going on inside!

Serendipity is your machine working now? I used to work with sewing machines when I lived in Aberdeen, the main thing to knock them out was not being cleaned, older machines, not being oiled or blunt needles - if that helps?
So sorry so many DDs seem to be ill, such a worry, especially when they live far away.

?Good morning Mick and all Morningsters. -2 and heavy frost here in mid Cornwall. Matt, gardener, had just arrived. Remarked about the frost, saying there was none on his way here. MrM reckons we are about 4 degrees lower in our little hollow than the main road. Matt’s got plenty of tidying to do before the ground thaws.

I’m off for my 10:00 slot at the kitchen company to look at which units to have in the new build. We edge closer to house completion. After six weeks of awaiting for boots I ordered, they are being posted back today. Too small. I get frustrated with the lack of consistency in UK /EU sizing with companies.

We have no bathroom in our little cottage but do have one in the bedroom annex across the garden. Yesterday I went to do my daily ablutions and have a shower, only to find it freezing cold in there. No sign of life in the boiler. ? . Huge thank you to Baxi. We have an engineer arriving today. He’s just rung to say it will be between 1 and 3. Yippee.
