Presuming BJ goes.

We’ve all had our say about whether he should go or not.
Why not turn this on its head and say who you would like instead of BJ, and why you think they would be good?
First someone from the Tory party because they’re still in. You may struggle to think of anyone, but give it a go.
Then who you’d like from any party or the party you vote for and why.
I’d vote for Andy Burnham. I know he’s only the Mayor of Greater Manchester now, but I think he’s really developed throughout Covid and he listens to the people.

Not Nicola Sturgeon - I listen to what
my many Scottish friends think and what they call her!!! A definite 'no'.
Also Starmer has had his 'working' parties and he is very weak.
About time all politicians got back to running the country, all of those at fault having apologised and paid a fine to charity.

Can't remember his name and can't be bothered to google, but that army guy that resigned

If you mean Rory Stewart, rosie51, he did just about six months in the Army on his gap year, not really a career soldier.

He has a had a great deal of experience in other fields since then.

Mummer

He's a brilliant historian and all doing good egg but PM? He's far too well brought up! Eton!? Non runner in the understanding the masses realms

If Rory had been PM we wouldn’t have had the disaster that has befallen Afghanistan recently. I ‘m so ashamed at how we’ve let those people down.

Joesoap Mon 17-Jan-22 15:28:31

I would like Andy Burnham he is such a good thinking man although I dont know anything about politics, but he helped the Hillsborough enquiry and is for the people and justice

Germanshepherdsmum Mon 17-Jan-22 15:28:09

I like Johnny Mercer.

He's ok for a bit of fun i suppose but wouldn't trust him with anything important!

Germanshepherdsmum Mon 17-Jan-22 15:23:09

Some of us weren’t taken in and didn’t vote for Brexit Mummer. And please stop shouting. I suspect you have the manners of Angela Rayner.

Can't remember his name and can't be bothered to google, but that army guy that resigned, He had principles. Other than him could anyone be worse than Boris ( well other than Rees-Mogg)? struggling even with the other parties, Starmer isn't the worst but really.......it's a very vanilla spectrum at the moment.

'army guys' not good idea.too narrow life experiences.detached from the mundane and lowly

Do you actually know about Rory Stewart’s ‘ life experiences’?

JdotJ Mon 17-Jan-22 15:18:16

Janet Daley, who isn't even a politician, she's a Telegraph journalist whose columns are spot on, time after time.
Wishful thinking

Germanshepherdsmum Mon 17-Jan-22 15:18:12

I’d rather have that rabble than Angela ‘scum’ Rayner & co.

Well said LauraNorderr!
Tony Blair mis-led us into a war so he was forced to resign.
David Cameron lead the Remain campaign so quire rightly resigned when the British electorate voted in favour of BREXIT.
Theresa May came to office with the task of implementing Brexit. She failed so clearly had to resign.
Boris came to came to office with the task of implementing Brexit. He achieved it. He has also successfully led the country through COVID. Economy is in excellent shape. Britain's standing in the world is strong. But our response is to demand his resignation because he shared a glass of wine at an end of week de-brief meeting. Shame on us if he goes!

And judging by the opinions given here there isn't no-one suitable that is available in any case.
I choose Boris Johnson!

WHY do you lot insist in the myth that BJ achieved ANYTHING??!!? He personally did zilch! He has to be bullied into any type of safeguarding issues like lockdown and definitely was against distancing and masks, had to be bullied into making funds for vaccines developments freely available and to suspend funding protocols in order to speed things up. Has shown utter derision and contempt for everyone basically except himself and his own. Where IS your head dear?

spabbygirl Mon 17-Jan-22 15:17:53

Boris is a liar and a cheat (remember that bus anyone?) I liked Theresa May but no Tory is going to suit me cos they all want to privatise the NHS thats why its so run down and private companies can use the NHS logo, maybe some people want to pay for their health care privately?

Greciangirl Mon 17-Jan-22 15:16:17

Germanshephersmum.

I definitely want a Labour government.

Jusr look at the rabble surrounding Boris .

Have you even read the question Holysox?

dolphindaisy Mon 17-Jan-22 15:07:01

I still think Keir Starmer is everything Boris Johson isn't - honest, caring, hard working, reliable, for me it would be either him or Andy Burnham. If we must have a Tory then I would have Tobias Ellwood or Theresa May, she wasn't the disaster some people try to make out she was.

Naninka Mon 17-Jan-22 14:55:32

Who would I like from any party?
No, no... I'm sure you must mean: who would I like from any work event?
???

Alegrias1 Mon 17-Jan-22 14:53:11

Britain's standing in the world is strong.

We're through the looking glass now, aren't we?
