I love Fat Rascals...Betty's do an advent version too I believe which I suppose is not actually a Fat Rascal. I love Betty's too.
Aldom that looks delicious!
Aha, I’ve been educated Aldom ?
soop with that generous gift you will not worry about how Mr. Soop is travelling that distance probably in inclement weather. That is a weight off both of your minds.
Please, please rest- that is an order, not a request!!!

Just popped in to catch up on news. That’s marvellous news Soop, people are so kind and generous. So glad you’re home SueD. Corner

That’s such good news soop it’s great that Mr Soop will be so close to you whilst you’re in Ross Hall. How kind of your lovely hairdressers. Glad to hear you’ve got your PJs on too soop ?
Thank you for the fat rascals Aldom I can’t remember what they are but I know I like them!
Pleased you got your curtain pole sorted grannysomerset well done to your kind friends and neighbours
A nice and easy Charlie Bigham curry for tea and a settle down on the sofa
soop, that’s lovely news from your hairdresser. People are so kind. I’m really glad for you.
SueD it must have been dark when your gardener started work. I would not have been happy.
Sue Your final memo had me laughing aloud.
Joints are just beginning to complain after the infusion. Discomfort rarely lingers much beyond a couple of days. I did manage the ironing, after which, I lay on the bed and read my book for an hour.
Now in pj's and dressing gown.
My thoughts are with you all, especially corner.
Until tomorrow. Stay warm and remain safe.

I’ve never had a fat rascal Aldom thank you.
The best day GrannySomerset unexpected pleasures, glad you got the rail sorted. And the generosity of others so Mrsoop can be local, excellent.
Farm shop and phone today, calls to sort out, we’re very busy as the various medical services work through their lists. I need to get out tomorrow in the fresh air.
Have a lovely evening all x
What a thoughtful and generous gesture, Soop! I’m so glad Mr S will now be able to stay nearby. It’s these wonderful actions that make me have faith in humanity, despite all the awful things we see and hear about on the news.
We were rudely awoken at just gone seven this morning by our gardener, cheerfully strimming and ‘hoovering’ our garden! We’ve not seen him for months as he’s not been well but he certainly got stuck into his work today. The garden looks much tidier now and all the leaves have gone, although it’s windy again so they could be back by morning.
The spring cleaning has continued and today about half the windows have been cleaned. I found some old-style Windowlene in an independent hardware store and oh my, it does the job ten times better than any of these modern sprays etc. Just the smell makes the house seem clean - no need to actually use it, just take the top off!
I also removed some ancient stickers from a glass-paned door, which my dd had stuck on as a child. It was a mission to remove them, involving various cleaning products and implements including a kitchen knife. Memo to self - do not leave stickers on doors for 22 years.
Have a pleasant evening, everyone! Xx
What a wonderful gesture from the hairdressers Soop. I'm delighted. Peace of mind for you both.
I've had a lovely day with my friend. She has dementia and as often as possible I invite her for lunch which she enjoys so much. After our meal we walked to our local, family run garden centre. It felt very peaceful there. Quiet, with just the birds singing.
I'll leave some Fat rascals for you all to eat. They came from Betty's Tea Shop in Harrogate. Enjoy.
A blank day filled itself up with visits from two friends and a kind neighbour to sort out my collapsed curtain pole, so in the end a very nice day with friendship and kindness to the fore. How lucky I am.
Delighted that MrS can stay near Ross Hall, much less stressful for both and a lovely and generous gesture from Soop’s hairdressers who obviously love her. We are not surprised, are we?
What a kind gesture soop? People really do come up trumps in times of need. ?
I think I have those sort of veins that play hide and seek with needles.
Grape hyacinths are coming out in bloom in the garden, just a few but there will soon be a mass of them.
My get-up-and-go has got-up-and-gone. Has anybody seen it please?
Have a good evening all you lovely Kitcheners.
That's so nice of them Soop. It'll make MrSoop more comfortable and thus relieve your mind too. Nannytopsy I am so glad I taught secondary pupils English and not primary art!
I had a lovely catch up with my aunt. We went to the local garden centre which has been massively extended. I must return soon for a good nose. Then dd invited us to call and we had fun with the boys. I'm just pottering this afternoon.
Pleased for you both soop. Not long now.
Weeding done here NannyTopsy . You'll soon be joining us brook.
The sun was out to start with but I was hidden in my polytunnel where the temperature was 19.5°?. Picked enough leeks outside for two meals.
What a reassuring feeling for you soop to have MrSoop close by whilst you are in Ross Hall.
soop wonderful news. And so deserved.x
Home again. The very best place to be.
Just three patients in the MacMillan suite this morning. Once my vein decided to co-operate, I was finished in forty minutes. We then went to do a little shop in the supermarket. It's still blustery and damp and grey. Hey ho!
When we returned home, a phone call came from our pal in the village. the Campbeltown hairdresser has given a cheque for £1000 towards you-know-what. We are flabberghasted.
This means that Mr Soop can stay at the nearby Premier Inn for three nights when I go into hospital. He will appreciate not having to go back and forth along what is a very long and winding road. After which, the nest time I shall see him will be when I'm discharged. Hallelujah!
Our pals will house-sit and feed the creatures.
Ironing to do. I shall then return. Big virtual hugs for all our Kitcheners.
Just saying hello to everyone in the kitchen today, I’ve had an enjoyable morning doing the aerobics class at the gym and I’m going out soon for a check up at the eye clinic and after that I’ll pop across the road to buy something to eat for tea later.
I’ve not been able to get back into the gardening yet this year nannytopsy but hopefully very soon, you sound like you’ve been very busy but I bet you’re pleased that it’s done for a while now. I think we’ll have lots of weeding to do when I eventually get out there
I love sitting listening to the birds singing dogsmakemesmile one of life’s simple pleasures but so enjoyable
Morning. Getting brighter here. Heard a lot of birdsong this morning as I got up. Hope the birds aren't getting confused because of this unseasonable weather. Obviously not an ornothologist...
Nothing planned which in the past would have worried me but now I appreciate the ability to choose what I can do. Yesterday bought a load of books from local charity shop. Books I wanted to buy and most in pristine condition. Will read and return to the shop . Determined if not actively decluttering I will not add to the clutter. I do love books and was so pleased all my children loved being read to as little ones.
Take care everyone.
Nice to see you Panache. I can’t believe it has been the anniversary so soon.
Grandmab can you imagine the mess a class of eight year olds can make with pastels? I never like teaching art!
Veg beds weeded and top dressed this morning then half an hour in the shower with the Viakal - we have very hard water and the limescale had built up! #smugtopsy!
Sleep tight ?
Good to see you back Panache.
Brilliant to see you back panache ??
Thank you Tilly for the daffs, so cheery.
Good you’re getting settled at last Sue and ‘future proofing’ the best you can.
Dentist this afternoon for me, only a check up, not difficult, basically my teeth are rubbish, then a chat on possibilities. I get collywobbles just thinking about going there, as I did today, but needs must, decisions to be made.
Hitch potch for dinner tonight, two empty plates, so either enjoyment or very hungry.
Have a gentle evening all x
