Fed up with the drab weather?

Well it is drab but there are lots of bulbs coming up in the garden and today we had birds in the garden for some months. There are almost 50 swans and cygnets on the canal this year near Kings Lock. Trying to focus on positives here all without a comforting glass of wine until Feb 1st.

Driving to our daughters last week on the motorway looking at the surrounding hills. I remarked to my husband how drab everything is and it seems to last ages. We only get a few short months when everything is lush and green our countryside is beautiful. Roll on the spring and summer everything is brighter and it makes people happier.

I think we’re doing very well for January. I’ve had to dig out the sunglasses over the last week!

It occurred to me today that it is only a couple of months or so until April, when the sail blinds go back up in the conservatory to reduce glare and heat???????
