I have just been to a local pub for a nice roast dinner and dessert and I had a pint of lime and soda. My son insisted on paying the bill but I looked at it and saw that the cost of my lime and soda was £3.50!!!.I was all set to say something but my son pleaded with me not to as he would’ve been embarrassed, I would not of made a scene I would just have questioned the amount…. (Actually I only asked for lime and soda I did not ask for a pint) And I do realise that most pubs make most of their profit from soft drinks but even so I was shocked ?‍♀️

BobPoulet

I'm more shocked by your use of "of" instead of "have":

"I would not of made a scene... "

How sad is your life when you have to trawl through old threads on GN to find one that you could be so bloody rude to.

I had a watermelon cordial and soda the other day.
They charged me the same as a mocktail (which came with fruits and fancy stuff in it)!
£5.30
😱

P.S. it wasn't even a pint - it was about 350ml.

This thread is more than three and a half years old.

I hopes BobPoulet don't go digging around to any more grammatical errors. What I would hates is to them to be shock again.
