Good Morning Everyone,
Dark here but looking dry in brackley at the moment.
Usual Tuesday for me , going to bus it to Bicester and have my usual coffee plus snack , then a small shop before returning home .
And have relaxing afternoon , but first thing after some breakfast is a few household chores .
Take Care ,
Mick

Good morning from a still dark, dry, chilly E Kent.
The boiler clock was changed yesterday by a very nice chap from the local plumber. He normally services the boiler, and does central heating repairs. Guess what? The clock doesn’t work…. Back to square 1!
I made a few (38) pots of cranberry and Seville marmalade.
T’ai chi this morning. Hope my poor foot can cope. Shopping in the afternoon and preparing the last 4kg of oranges.
Have a gentle day, with all bothers banished. Carpe diem. ????☀️☀️?

Good morning Mick and all who follow - fabulous February is here with Valentine’s Day to cheer me up ?? (I’m with EV on January being the Longest&Worst as we have no family events to celebrate and post Christmas always feels flat...)

A lovely afternoon tea ☕️ ?with DD to look forward to followed by a fillum - Belfast, which appears to have good reviews.

I’m sure sorting out that service will settle you GS - another task in the long road you’re travelling ?. Hope Gwen is feeling better and anyone else battling ill health at the moment- it’s wearing isn’t it?

Will pop back later and see who’s doing what - so many missing posters although I noticed grandmafrench popped in and Ginny42 posted on another thread - ??

Pantglas2 Tue 01-Feb-22 06:16:28

Lawdy grandMattie you’re the most prolific pot filler I know!

I made a panful of ? chilli ? jam yesterday and it only filled 3 jars so I won’t be giving any away (Mr PG will be pleased....?)

Beechnut Tue 01-Feb-22 06:18:06

Good Morning and pinch punch everyone. It’s dark and dry on Severnside.

Sunset is starting to make a difference. It was still light when my brother dropped by last night. He’s a joy to be with, so quick witted and never fails to make me laugh.

A normal Tuesday for me with homemade broccoli and Stilton soup on my menu. I’m steadily working my way through the freezer.

Have a good day all ??

grandMattie Tue 01-Feb-22 06:20:29

Oh, and ????

Oopsadaisy1 Tue 01-Feb-22 06:38:56

Good morning everyone from a dark (but sky is filled with stars so maybe it’s frosty and will be a sunny day?) Oxfordshire.
Not been too good the last few days, so we will see how today goes.
MissOops birthday today so hope to go over later this afternoon for her birthday tea.
Have a good day everyone.

Alizarin Tue 01-Feb-22 06:41:58

Good morning from a mild, cloudy south Cornwall. Coffee in the next door cafe today with a guy from our diocese who will be able to decide where 18' of paintings can eventually go. Days 1 and 2 of the Creation are the biggest challenge. I have now borrowed 16 library books as reference, the max I'm allowed. I order them in from the libraries across Cornwall. It's a marvellous service. Have the best day you can.

Scentia Tue 01-Feb-22 06:49:26

Good Morning all from East Staffordshire where it is raining ☔️
Off on Nanna duties shortly, DGS still has an upset tummy, that is a week now on and off. DD will call the doctors today.
A late Christmas present from DD and DSiL turned up yesterday. It is tickets to the Birmingham Symphony Orchestra. Really good seats too. Such a surprise❤️
Take care everyone and stay dry and upright.

Sar53 Tue 01-Feb-22 06:53:10

Good morning from Essex by the sea where it doesn't feel as cold as of late.
I'm off out with my new walking group this morning, lots of steps and lots of chatting.
Enjoy Tuesday whatever you are doing xx

Good morning, all, on another quiet, mild (ish) day, but with the breeze making it chilly.

Having exercised at “Move It or Lose It” each Monday, I always sleep more soundly. It’s enjoyable, both for the exercise and the company (including the teacher, previously a professional dancer and magician!) and something which left a gap in my life when it couldn’t run during lockdowns.

An email received from the planning department yesterday was pleasing. Major work has been going on next door since last Summer to convert a house into flats. Before Christmas, we were notified of a modification to add a storey to one part, to which a few of us sent objections, mainly on the grounds of it being intrusive and out of keeping with the area, which is on the edge of a conservation area. The plans have been refused!

Your painting proposals sound challenging, Alizarin, but inspirational. Wow! Lucky you, Scentia, with those tickets. I wonder what’s on the programme. I hope you feel better today, Oopsadaisy1, in time to enjoy the birthday tea. Take care of your foot, grandMattie; you’re such a busy person and I admire your energy! It’s great finding the unexpected in the freezer, Beechnut, as long as they’re surprises rather than shocks!

Kind thoughts to those facing challenges in whatever circumstances. Tomorrow will dawn brighter. ????

GrannyGravy13 Tue 01-Feb-22 07:08:24

Morning Mick and all

It’s just getting light here in S E Essex.

Sar53 I hope you enjoy your walk, and it’s not too breezy.

I have The Imp today so nothing planned.

Keep safe and well folks ?‍♀️?

Jaxjacky Tue 01-Feb-22 07:10:59

Good morning from a dark S Hants, 9deg, balmy. I hope you enjoy this afternoon Oops and feeling better.
Can we have some pictures Alizarin please, sounds amazing.
I’ve a longer drive to do today through countryside, hope the sun’s out. Then I’ll potter tidying the greenhouse.
Enjoy your day all, thoughts with those struggling ???.

Urmstongran Tue 01-Feb-22 07:14:39

Here’s Matt. Back in a minute.

baubles Tue 01-Feb-22 07:14:40

Good morning Mick, morning all from dark and dry South Lanarkshire.

Blimey grandMattie, you’re a one woman marmalade factory.

Another busy day ahead, it seems that everyone is decluttering just now, I don’t know how we’re ever going to get through all the donations.

Have the best day possible. ??

Gagagran Tue 01-Feb-22 07:17:50

Good Morning everyone from a milder south coast 8.7c. I need to go to the library this morning as my books are due back today. Nothing much else planned so far.

Still waiting for an update on my sister. She has a consultation today but at almost 88 is resigned to there not being much they can do for her various health conditions. She has family near her so is not coping alone but I do worry about her as I am so far away. and can only support from a distance. Old age is not for sissies.

Hope the day is a good one for us all. (I am sure I can smell all that marmalade Mattie - lovely!) grin

Alizarin Tue 01-Feb-22 07:19:51

The paintings are so new they're just blocks of colour Jax. They have a long way to go but here's the beginning of day 4: 'Two great lights.'

Pittcity Tue 01-Feb-22 07:27:38

Good morning from Colchester where it's just getting light. No sun today but feeling a bit milder.
Charity shop volunteering as it's Tuesday.
Love to all ? x

kittylester Tue 01-Feb-22 07:29:49

Good morning all from a still dark North Leicestershire.

Today, I have an appointment for my first pedicure in 2 years. Imagine the state of my feet - or don't!! grinl

This afternoon we have a quick trip to Derby to deliver DD1's birthday present. She is our middle child and 47 tomorrow shock.

Have the best day possible everyone.

Urmstongran Tue 01-Feb-22 07:30:21

Good morning everyone from south Manchester where it’s still dark but seems mild enough. The 7:20hrs to Manchester Oxford Road has just pulled into the station across the road. The train is lit up plus the platforms so I can see the many commuters arriving and departing. Travel does seem to be getting back to normal again.

I’m socialising later. Meeting book club ladies who are retirees for soup and a sandwich in the cafe bar in the square. They travel into town in their cars, lucky me just goes down in the lift! No other plans today for me but Himself is on standby (and hoping!) to take the Boy Wonder to his football practice at the grammar school round the corner, in case his dad is late in from work. A floodlight pitch to practice skills. He loves watching him.

Enjoy Tuesday 1st Feb all who can. I hope you are okay Gwenisgreat. Friday seems a long way off when you’re poorly. Maybe consider ringing the 111 service? They are able to expedite appointments to secure you an ‘urgent’ slot with your GP.

Right, I shall drink my mug of Yorkshire Gold before it goes cold.

brook2704 Tue 01-Feb-22 07:31:48

Good morning everyone from Inverness where it’s breezy and quite chilly.
Hope your DGS is better soon Scentia
Today I’m looking forward to my Fitsteps dance class and then a bit of shopping in town. Eventually I’m hoping to get back into the garden if the weather would just cheer up a bit
The paintings sound like a challenge Alizarin hope it all works out well
Thinking of everyone with worries and struggles, take care all whatever the day brings ?

Grandmajean Tue 01-Feb-22 07:37:12

Good morning from Cheshire.
Haven't looked out yet but can hear birds rather than rain so a good start.
Car failed MOT yesterday in spite of having a good clean beforehand ?so being fixed today. How much it will cost still a surprise.
Love today's Matt , Urmstongran

dragonfly46 Tue 01-Feb-22 07:43:27

Good morning from great Leicestershire.

Long journey into Northamptonshire today to try and find a pair of shoes that fit. My feet seem to become more difficult over the years.

Also getting the bedroom ready for the painter coming tomorrow.

Wishing everyone a good day and hoping those with health worries feel better soon.

BlueSapphire Tue 01-Feb-22 07:46:39

Good morning everyone from a bright but windy Northampton. No frost today. Awoke from a recurring dream (nightmare!) in which I find myself again in front of my yr 6 class without a lesson prepared - I even had to ask the children what lesson it was supposed to be!

Managed Wordle in 4 today.

Yoga yesterday morning, then a coffee in a local cafe afterwards.

Found my lost ear-ring yesterday, so then could hoover round upstairs. Spent the afternoon catching up with the weekend newspapers and then continued with my new book, which isn't really something I would have chosen, but I am getting into it.

Health walk this afternoon which will certainly blow the cobwebs away, and then an easy tea of sausages, jacket potato and baked beans.

Have.just.booked a coach trip to visit The Repair Shop and hopefully see what goes on behind the scenes and some of the people from the show. Should be a good day out, but it's not till September. Have got a ticket for a friend to come as well.

Take care everyone and hope February sees the start of better weather and of course longer days.

Jaxjacky Tue 01-Feb-22 07:47:13

Very dramatic Alizarin it will certainly get the message across.
