WORDLE CHAT PART 2

4 today, having warmed up with a 3 on Wordle Unlimited.

I was stuck until I saw a post from a friend on FB that the spelling was American. So I did it in 4 which is still my average.

4 today.
I hadn't seen the clue on here, but became aware weeks ago (the very first time I played Wordle, I think), that such spellings were possible. Luckily, I remembered that today .

I didn't know that Fanny.

I haven't had time today, planned to do later. Now that I have seen the clue, I feel as if I am cheating.

American spelling confused me, 5 today.

My son messaged me this morning, saying that Wordle usually trends on Twitter, with people sharing their scores.

It did not trend this morning. However, "stupid American" and "bloody American" did

I hadn't attempted today's before reading his message, so I was forewarned and managed to get it in five tries

I did it pre the spoiler and did not get it, it is a game some you win some you lose. There is always tommorow.

So right rafichagran. I’m sure most of it do it before looking at the thread.

I don’t read the thread before I post my result so although I’d rather clues weren’t givens I would probably manage to avoid them.

The game was designed by an American chap so it’s no surprise that US spellings are used, today’s isn’t the first.

Got it in 3 today. I remember reading about previous American spelling despite the creator being Welsh.

He’s Welsh, but now lives in New York.

But he has now sold it to the NYT - who can blame him! I hope he got a good price for it.

First time I haven’t been able to solve it so looked on Twitter for the answer. I would never have guessed the American spelling so don’t feel too bad now. ?

Got it in 5, but it was a complete fluke, as I didn't realise American spellings were valid.

Up late so a quick Wordle before bed.
Back to using my favourite word. Got it in 3

He said he sold it "in the low seven figures". The game will remain free-to-play for now but no long-term assurances have been given.

4 today. Wasted 2nd line.
