WORDLE CHAT PART 2

Sometimes just have to think differently.

It’s good to develop different strategies. Sometimes it is simply a matter of thinking time.

While it is tempting to pick words with high frequency letters it’s not always the right decision.

The high frequency letters are by nature going to appear in high frequency words.

So it might be superficially easier to guess the Wordle; but this isn’t necessarily the case, as there are more words to guess at.

Remember when the word had the common ending ‘ight’ recently?
It was nevertheless hard to guess as it could have been so many words.

Each daily game uses a word from a randomly ordered list of 2,315 words (out of the approximate 12,000 five-letter words in the English language). The smaller word list was chosen by Wardle's partner, who categorized the five-letter words into those she knew, those she did not know, and those she might have known.

I think we’re onto some of the ones she didn’t know. ?

I think they have run out of common words and are having to use unusual ones.

Think they've cottoned on to canny nans who enter 3 vowel words to start.

6 today, which is an improvement on not at all.

Got it in 6, with a Phew! Really bad choices early on which helped because it limited my choices later.

I seem to be averaging 5 attempts, I have done it in 3 once ?

Got it just AFTER I had pressed the button on the wrong answer at my last chance,. At least I realised just before the right answer flashed up. A sneaky one.

Got it in 4 but very hard today

I didn’t get it today. I think the words are more challenging. It’s a bit like playing someone at Scrabble who is much better than me!
