Good morning from a mild north of Scotland. I have a day of serious paperwork to do that could have been done before Christmas and is now on a tight deadline. My own fault but getting off to an early start.
LauraNorder. Wonderful news for your whole family.
Have the best day you can.

Good morning all from 7deg S Hants.
A tricky day ahead grandMattie may it all be resolved happily.
No more niggles today Beechnut ?
The best news for Laura and her family yesterday, your flock of flamingoes were most apt Ash.
Voluntary day on the phone, Farm shop, fuelling of car and cleaning of bathrooms, that’s my day.
Wishing you all a cheery day, thoughts with those struggling, may you all spot a ?or ??.

Good Morning all! It's 6.9c here on the south coast but not forecast to get much more than that today. Nice day yesterday with lots of sunny spells.

I remain amazed at your industry and energy, Mattie. Hope your financial discussions with your DGS's Mum are settled amicably.

Must finish the click and collect order today. I prefer this way of shopping and we will keep to it despite the easing of restrictions.

Hope the day is a good one for us all. sunshine

Gaga, the money in question is DGS’s inheritance from his late dad which various insurance companies owe him and are holding on to. The other problem is that he is inheriting a rather large sum of money, which we are all worried needs investing before he can spend it, etc. It’s that sort of “difficult”

Good morning, all, from a quiet, dark Torbay. Yesterday the temperature reached 13 degrees!

I entirely agree about that first cuppa, Pantglas2! Nectar! I hope your worry about the news you heard is resolved, Beechnut. I’ll bet that marmalade tastes delicious, grandMattie. You were busy yesterday, as always, and I’m sorry about the frustrating time with the Probate Office. Annoyingly inefficient. Please take care of yourself amidst all this and I hope the visit from DGS’s mother goes as well as possible.

I have a dance exercise class this afternoon then I’m going to the ballet tonight in Paignton: The Snow Queen, being performed by English Ballet UK. It’s a shame DH isn’t here at present as he would have enjoyed it.

Hope today is as good as possible, especially for those with worries. Thank you for the kind comments about my DGD and the flamingoes yesterday. ?????

Good morning Mick, morning all from dark and damp South Lanarkshire.

I’m in awe of your energy gMattie!

Such happy news for your daughter in law and for all of your family LauraNorder.

Off for our usual Thursday of childminding which includes a gymnastics class for the four year old followed by a walk along the front to a cafe for an ice cream for her and coffee for us. The little one will have a nap at some point.

Wishing everyone a good day.

Good morning Mick from a not-so-cold north Wales where I’m about to avail myself of the chamberpot ☕️! Isn’t that first cuppa the most quenching of the day ?

Lovely to read of Lauranorderr brilliant family news - let’s have more of the same for everyone with similar worries ?

I’m trotting to Lidl this morning and Mr PG has suggested he comes along, to hinder help....?. Anyway.....later we’ll be out for early tea before cinema (again, second time in a week and I can thoroughly recommend Belfast with the rather dashing Jamie Dornan). Tonight’s delight is Save the Cinema!

Have a good day everyone x

Good morning from a dark, overcast E Kent. We did have some sunshine ☀️ yesterday, but I was so busy I didn’t notice, I also ended up on my knees…
I started by washing and labelling the previous batch of marmalade with labels I design, print and cut. Four loads of washing, drying, sorting and folding; four more kg of oranges to turn magically into marmalade…
In the middle of all this, we heard that the Probate office (in week 18 of the promised 8 weeks!) decided that we hadn’t responded early last month with various powers of attorney. After a 45 minute wait/call, they admitted that they had all the necessary after all! I have been feeling very fragile this week, but that took the biscuit.
We had roast duck legs for dinner; they had been much reduced. And we had a gratin of mixed vegetables, togethe4 with an apricot frangipan tart, made at the last minute.
I was in bed by 2130…
Spanish today, then DGS’s mum is coming to lunch to talk money. Another difficult and emotional day. ?
I hope those in sorrow, pain or anxiety have a gentle day. Carpe diem. ????☀️☀️??

Good morning everyone from Severnside where I am warm. I’ve just had my first cuppa.

I had a chat yesterday with my friend who passed on some news that left me feeling unsettled for the day. Later on I caught up with Beechnutella after she had finished work for the day. She told me that for the foreseeable she will carry on working from home.

I’ll go out today and call on another friend this afternoon hoping to catch them home.

Have a good day all ??
