I cant believe that West Ham footballer did that to his cat. They should take that poor cat away from him and fine him.
He is unfit to look after any animal. Im sure he will get it in the neck next time his on the pitch.

It doesn't seem possible to share the link on here but it can be found by Googling change.org

Btw, it's Essex Police not the Met as it says in the petition.

I'm glad he was booed and if that cage fighter's challenge is taken up Shinamae that's a video I would watch.

There is a link on the other thread to the petition thanks to another poster.

These sorts of incidents should be dealt with by the agencies whose jobs it is.
It's well known that cruelty to animals is often a precursor to other forms of abuse.

I’ve signed the online petition regarding Zouma. He needs kicking back to France.

I’ve signed the online petition regarding Zouma. He needs kicking back to France.

i've just seen this, 50,ooo is far too lenient for someone on his salary.

"According to article 113-6 of the French Penal Code, a French citizen can be prosecuted for criminal acts carried out abroad. Tough new animal protection laws were introduced in France in 2021, meaning that the "mistreatment of animals" is now punishable by up to four years in prison and a fine equivalent to £50,000"

The rspca has stepped in and removed the cat.

Fined two weeks wages, absolute bloody disgrace, I urge everybody to email West Ham and demand he is sacked, Like I said on another thread opinions of the people carry more weight than any bloody football club…????

Shinamae Wed 09-Feb-22 15:30:07

If you can, This scum needs to be sacked and jailed…??

janipans Wed 09-Feb-22 15:32:54

I understand he is a French citizen so if I could be judge and jury I would first remove his child into the care of social services for safe guarding, fine him for the amount his home in the uk would sell for ( a 2 weeks pay fine is nothing to someone who earns as much as he does!) and give the money to the RSPCA, sack him and ban him from ever residing in or playing football in this country again, then finally deport him back to France to rot in jail until he is a very old man! Anyone who can be so cruel to a family pet is not welcome in this country!

Sea dragon, thanks for the link. I’ve posted about the links with animal and domestic/child abuse, on both these threads.

The rspca has stepped in and removed the cat.

Both cats, I hope as the other one could be at risk if he is angry.

Iam64 Wed 09-Feb-22 20:13:42

Callistemon, the cats are safe for the moment. What about his partner and children

I can’t watch it as I get too upset.

But he should be banned for life from keeping pets.

I would also want to know why he thought it was appropriate for a child to be witness to the abuse.

Just like others he wasn’t sorry until he was found out.

The apology rings very hollow.

Yep. Not sorry for what he did, just sorry he was caught.

Shinamae - sadly, unless old injuries are found by the rspca, the ‘only’ real evidence is the tape. I hope the investigation results in prosecution, it should.
