I'm usually up and about by 4 am - as I simply don't need much sleep. Of course, when the clocks change, it'll be a more 'usual' time.

It's wonderful taking the little dog for a walk around the garden as the birds begin to sing.

Hope that you managed to get some sleep swap.
Sending you and Mr Shop all good wishes thanks

I was about to have a moan about being awake since 3 30, but there are ladies here with real worries. flowers for Jo and mcss

I’m so sorry Jo and mcss - sadly, worrying is never productive, but one can’t stop oneself, can one? Big hugs and ???? to you both.

Me. I get up at 04:30 every day. It started with post-chemo PTSD/anxiety/insomnia 9 years ago but has now become a pattern I enjoy.
Have had the dogs out for their early pee. The older one is definitely keen by then; they younger one is "Do I have to?" but the answer is yes.
Have had a coffee, said Morning Prayer, done Wordle and also Facle (the Gaelic version), and am now crocheting a baby blanket while reading Gransnet and waiting for it to be late enough to take a shower - I'm in my fourth week of living in a supported living flats complex and am more than a little intense about not waking others with my sleep patterns.

None of that is anything like the grimness of lying awake and wondering about a loved one, so I've laid down the 5mm hook to send big hugs to Mr. and Mrs. multicolourswapshop.

Thank you so much Pantglas2 he’s in the best place where he’s getting well looked after especially when he’s going to be getting rehab to get him back on his feet after a horrible and painful gout which he’s never experienced before and on top of chemo that’s all he needs . I’m hoping I’ll get to visit him tomorrow with our lovely beautiful and caring daughter. Hugs to you and all early birds I think I might drop off now night night flowers

I’m here.
Jo I’m so sorry thanks

Having problems staying asleep. My mum is terminally ill and I can't seem to stay asleep from worry / grief.

grandMattie Thu 10-Feb-22 06:04:47

Me too. Been awake and reading since 0430. I’m an “extreme lark” apparently! Sigh ?

Kim19 Thu 10-Feb-22 06:00:04

Yep, I'm here too looking out for the lovely Michael.

I’m awake! Just waiting for Mick to open up the GM thread and thought I’d pop on here and wish your DH all the best for his stay in hospital ? hope you don’t have to miss him for too long x

I’m on my Todd tonight in this super king size bed and awake at a far too early time. My dh is in hospital and I’m missing him dreadfully. Is there anyone else out there who’s awake?
