What do you do in the evenings? I've listened to some music, then had a shower, done my roots grin, taken my nail polish off and put a different colour on. Roll on the warm weather and light evenings........

You are all so lucky, I have to work lates and finish at 10pm then its straight to bed... Other days when I'm on the early shift, I am so knackered I'm in bed by 9pm...... On days off, I spend catching up with stuff!!! then knackered again.. Thats all inbetween looking after DGC.

Cooked and ate dinner, chatted to DD1 on the phone and watched Sex & Sensibility, recorded off BBC4 at sometime. Early night ready to get up to look after DD2's cat today.

At the moment DH is out at various choir rehearsals 3 nights out of 5 so I'm home with the TV. Last night though we went out to celebrate DS2's 32nd birthday with DS1 and his partner. Lovely meal and a great evening

Knitting, half watching television unless DH is glued to Judge
Judy/Border Patrol/some police chase guff in which case I go and have a hot bath and read my book ?
I never go out in the evenings.

Tonight I watched some rubbish tv, provided a lap for ginger mog, sorted out a mistake in crochet blanket pattern (that was when ginger mog left the knee temporarily and ate the last 2 white chocolate (least favourite) chocolates from my Christmas box.

We arrived in London last night and spent today flat hunting with our daughter. Just over a year ago I'd have raced around but the long covid I thought I was recovering from was just hiding. We're home now (9pm) and I'm so exhausted I don't have the energy to get ready for bed. A bit sad right now.

Callistemon21 Sat 12-Feb-22 19:45:26

I lie

I'm on GN.

Callistemon21 Sat 12-Feb-22 19:44:47

I'm crocheting.
Well, I'm sewing ends in (boring)
Later I may file my nails - how exciting is that.
However I do have a ? beside me.

Am I the only one who watches TV and knits?

No - unless we’re going out, that’s my usual evening, too. My big rainbow blanket (mindless TV knitting, just garter stitch) only gets done in the evenings.

I very often go to bed at around 10 (before I fall asleep on the sofa) but will usually read in bed for about an hour.,

Last night 2 friends came round and we had an evening of crochet and needlework, along with a bottle of Prosecco and a takeaway. A lovely change and a nice tonic for all of us as we have all had some troubles of late.

I also knit to keep myself awake while watching tv and waiting for the cat to decide to come back in from her evening out!,

Enjoy knitting and adult dot to dot books and maybe some TV.

Lat night we had lovely fresh crayfish for dinner, they were delicious. Then looked at TV, after that I decided to enter a writing competition, I chose the six word, yes 6 word, competition, now that was a challenge, but I did it
Not a terribly exciting evening but enjoyable.

Dinner turned out surprisingly well - never a 'given' in this house - and caught up on some recorded programmes. Spoke to all AC, went to bed and read. Nothing thrilling there, but all fairly happy stuff!

Sue450 Sat 12-Feb-22 13:28:55

Watched a film on Netflix. Had a shower in bed by 10.30 read fir a while. Then went to sleep.

I saw Cirque de Soleil two weeks ago. Absolutely amazing! We saw a different one about 5 years ago. Can’t remember what is was called. Well worth the ‘fairly’ expensive tickets. ?

Mummer Sat 12-Feb-22 13:17:16

........and ...does everyone hit the forbidden treats after dark? I never used to eat sweets at night but as I mature (ahem) I've become an avid sweetie guzzler! Awful, as I always thought 'olds' were completely out of control for the way they ate endless sweet stuff! Now I know....

Mummer Sat 12-Feb-22 13:14:47

Oh PS booked a luxury 3 night stay at Alnwick castle lodge in April! Comfort booking, like comfort eating but a lot more expensive......

Mummer Sat 12-Feb-22 13:12:51

Unigran4 yes, done the whole puppy thing at the start of first lockdown it was stressful but the peaceful quietness around here when for a period there were hardly any cars on the road was quite magical and the sun kept making an unexpected appearance too.

Bluecat it is a treat when you land on something worth watching isn’t it.
