What do you do in the evenings? I've listened to some music, then had a shower, done my roots grin, taken my nail polish off and put a different colour on. Roll on the warm weather and light evenings........

I’ve showered and washed my hair, done some laundry to put out on the line first thing, eaten some chocolate, watched Olympics round up of today.

Yesterday evening I went to the Albert Hall to see the amazing Cirque du Soleil.

This evening I am on the sofa with the dog and a bag of wine gums.

Talk about all or nothing!!

Coastpath Thu 10-Feb-22 21:08:03

Don't know where the T came from. Must have been the dog!

HowVeryDareYou Thu 10-Feb-22 21:10:56

Coastpath Cirque du Soleil - I've heard it's brilliant. A bag of wine gums and a cuddle with the dog sounds good, though.

crazyH Thu 10-Feb-22 21:11:57

Coastpath, I’m hoping to see them in Birmingham. I would have loved to see Luzia, but I think the Birmingham one is Corteo

Coastpath Thu 10-Feb-22 21:35:00

It was mesmerising HowVeryDareYou and crazyH. I can't recommend Luzia highly enough but I think the skill and excitement would be the same whichever version you see. Such a thrill and a complete escape from reality which has left me buzzing with happiness.

But as you say, when reality is my dear old dog and some wine gums, life is pretty good.

MrJ and I had dinner then watched a film, Hard Times, very funny. Thursday night is our film night, tomorrow night is pub night, catch up with friends in our local.

SueDonim Thu 10-Feb-22 23:12:38

Done a Sainbury’s order. Thrilling. hmm

MiniMoon Thu 10-Feb-22 23:30:49

Watched a film with Mr MM. His choice tonight was The King's Man. I wasn't enthralled. Made egg and tomato sandwiches for supper, and did some crochet.

We had been out to a pub for lunch, and then we visited my sister and niece. All in all, we had a very good day.

Went to our daughters today and had late lunch near Skipton. Late getting home prepared meal for tomorrow. Packed small overnight bag for trip to Cardiff for rugby on Saturday. Spent a couple of hours looking for ideas in my cookery books planning an elegant meal for Monday. Glasses of wine ? then ready to hit the sack.

Took up an eBay maxi dress and then made a start on topsyturvy knitted little red riding hood doll for one little granddaughter. I made 2 of the Cinderella versions a couple of years ago for 2 of the others but she wanted a different one.
Had a bath and off to bed

Watched snooker all evening. I'm a fan of Neil Robertson and he won, so he'll be playing again an Saturday evening. Watchhing snooker has become my surprise lockdown activity. I also did a sudoku and sent a WI email, drank a glass of wine and ate a tiny bit of chocolate and some nuts.

Planned a group outing for next Wednesday and sent participants details. Watched a little catch up telly. Hot chocolate then bed where I am cosily now. Wordle next.

Yesterday evening we had our first choir practice for ages. Well, it was a meeting really because it was the first time with a new conductor.

We got to know him and planned the next couple of gigs (Easter services). There were a couple of recent birthdays and someone had brought a couple of bottles of bubbly.

Then I went home and did a couple of lessons of Duolingo. No cooking or washing up. DH had got himself something to eat while I was out and I just had a bit of toast when I got in.

I envy you seeing the new Cirque Coastpath. I watched a programme about it, and how they got the water into the Royal Albert Hall.
I saw one 8 years ago in Orlando and loved it! It was “Nouba” .
My evenings lately are of the TV variety.

TillyTrotter Fri 11-Feb-22 08:13:47

“La Nouba”

Coastpath, any evening with winegums is exciting to me.

Mondays or Tuesdays are our pub quiz nights, Thursdays our WhatsApp quiz with the family, Saturdays DH and I do Jay’s quiz on YouTube. Not that we’re competitive or anything. grin

Our trips out tend to be daytime now, even the cinema and theatre, so unless there’s something special on, it’s usually TV with a jigsaw. I sometimes stick a wash in for a bit if variety.

Watch tv with OH. He usually gives me a relaxing foot massage with no 7 moisturiser.
Usually retire between 9-10pm and leave OH to watch crime drama, while I watch something light in bed or read.

henetha Fri 11-Feb-22 10:15:51

I do things like crossword puzzles while watching tv, most evenings. Or a bit of sewing. I like mending things.

maddyone Fri 11-Feb-22 10:31:50

We ate dinner from a tray whilst watching BBC news ( how very dare we!) and then we watched No Return on ITVHub. I showered and got into my lovely pjs, had a drink of hot chocolate and we went to bed. I caught up with Gransnet and them watched Question Time in bed, and then sleep.

Humduh Fri 11-Feb-22 11:09:30

Pizza dinner in front of dinosaur TV.
