Hi Everyone.
I have just discovered Gransnet so thought I would introduce myself and hopefully some of you would like to introduce yourselves to me.
I am 57 years old and have 3 grandkids whom I love dearly.
I live in central Scotland with my hubby, our fish, Einstein our parrot and 2 lovely dogs Sula (a chow chow puppy) and my 8 year old border terrier Gabe.
I don’t get out much at all and I am very shy so don’t have many friends although the few I have, have been in my life for over 20 years. But I’d love to make new ones.
Even just to chat on here would be lovely
Thanks for reading xxx

Hello Toby I'm one of the East Scotland Grans. Keep an eye out for one of our meet ups
Nothing planned right now but I see the Glasgow grans have one planned soon. Why not dive in and join them?

Hi Toby, I’m relatively new on here too, I have 6 GC who all live reasonably close by so I get to spend a lot of time with them. I also have Border Terrier, he is 3 now, wonderful little dogs. I hope you enjoy GN smile

Welcome Toby. I’m 70 and live near Durham. The Good Morning thread, opened every day by Mick is a good place to start on this site. Hope you stay with us.

Hello Toby and welcome from a southerner! You might well find that you 'lose' an hour or more on here when you just meant to have a quick look!. Hope you enjoy your time dipping in and out.

Welcome Toby. I agree with others Gransnet is very addictive. I hope you enjoy it as much as me.

Mapleleaf Fri 11-Feb-22 16:47:50

Hello Toby1932.
Welcome to GN ?. I’m sure you’ll enjoy posting and reading. Yes, it does become a little bit addictive ?.

Ali23 Fri 11-Feb-22 16:46:03

Hello Toby
I’m fairly new here too, and I must say I’m glad to have joined.
Lots of friendly chats, and lots of kindness to be found ?

Hello Toby smile

Oopsadaisy1 Fri 11-Feb-22 16:21:52

Welcome, I’m sure you will love GN.

Mollygo Fri 11-Feb-22 16:19:52

Hi Toby, welcome. GN is a good place to be shy on as you are invisible. Most of us don’t even know as much about each other as you have already shared. Dip into a few threads even if you only read. I didn’t post for ages after I first signed up.

Smileless2012 Fri 11-Feb-22 16:17:42

Welcome to GN Toby, there are plenty of discussions on the go so you're certain to find some of interest.

I agree with LauraNorderr, it is "hugely addictive once you get going" grin.

LauraNorderr Fri 11-Feb-22 16:07:00

Hello and welcome Toby. I agree with everything BlueBelle said except her assertion that Gransnet is a tiny bit addictive. I’d say hugely addictive once you get going.
I look forward to hearing your opinions on various subjects and getting to know you.

Hello Toby, so nice to have you here. I think a lot of us need a little Dutch courage to make the first move. There’s lots on her to look and participate in.

welbeck Fri 11-Feb-22 16:04:08

hello Tobes; welcome aboard.

ShazzaKanazza Fri 11-Feb-22 16:02:22

Welcome Toby it’s nice to be on this site and joining in with various topics which interest you. I’m just about to have my third grandchild. We are very excited. Chat any time. I’m really shy too but give me a few glasses of red and I’m a social butterfly.

emmasnan Fri 11-Feb-22 16:01:51

Welcome Toby, hope you enjoy Gransnet. It won't matter that you are shy here, I am too.

BlueBelle Fri 11-Feb-22 16:00:17

Hi from me too Toby I hope you make lots of friends on here and enjoy posting We have lots of laughs some moans and groans and occasionally a spat or two (mostly on the political threads as would be expected) but on the whole it’s a good community and dare I say a tiny bit addictive
?

nadateturbe Fri 11-Feb-22 15:59:56

Hi Toby. Hope you enjoy GN. ?
