Here’s Matt.

Good morning everyone from south Manchester where it’s chucking it down. Hasn’t stopped since yesterday.

Beautiful bouquet there Ashcombe! I didn’t get one but I did get thoughtfulness which was lovely yesterday. I’d had my appointment with the hygienist and as I was paying (£55 these days!) the receptionist said “a man, I assume your husband, has just been in. He said to tell you he’ll be waiting for you in the car’. What a sweetheart ~ it was bucketing it down since I’d been in and said “I couldn’t let you walk to .... house in this”. Who said romance is dead?
?

No plans for today. Enjoy Tuesday all who can. x

Morning from East Ren. Quite a bright sky and no rain at present.
What beautiful flowers Ashcombe, a loving start to your day!

I’m enjoying my cup of tea in my bedroom, the family have their pre school routine and I don’t disrupt it-at least that’s my excuse!

After they leave and my breakfast, I’ll iron the school uniforms, DD’s least favourite task. Coffee, and quick chat if my daughter has a space in her schedule and then home.

Weather permitting, meeting a friend this afternoon for a walk and talk.

Always remembering those needing a thought or prayer and wishing everyone a good day ???

Good morning from a very rainy and windy Black Country.

Sad news yesterday. My Brother rang to say SIL’s younger sister had died. Totally unexpected, she was only 62. She lived alone, such a shock.

Took Mum for hearing test and private aids will cost 4K! But will be worth it I think , so she will always have a back up.

Meeting a friend today for lunch out as we have a voucher for 20% off food.

What a lovely bunch of flowers Ashcombe

Wishing you all a good day

Good morning everyone sadly this is going to be my last post it’s time for me to leave . Goodby and best wishes everyone thank you for all the support I’ve received over these past few years flowers

Urmstongran Tue 15-Feb-22 08:17:59

A sad decision by you MCSS but following on from our exchanged p.m’s yesterday evening I think it’s very thoughtful of you to say ‘goodbye’ rather than just ‘disappear’ and have us all wondering about you. Best wishes dear lady. x

Good morning from a blustery but dry (so far) Oxfordshire. Not much happening today, I blitzed the house over the weekend, my go to when a bit stressed, but received a phone call from the hospital yesterday with good news after my procedure last week. Phew! Didn’t realise I was so concerned until after I got the phone call.
Anyway, prepping some food later ready for the arrival of MsOops and the GCs at the weekend, some vegetarian food that I can freeze until then, I won’t be able to do much when they get here as they are bringing the dog who has just had an op, so I will be dog sitting all week, whilst they go and visit relatives in Scotland.
Have a good day everyone and best wishes to all those with worries and concerns. Lovely flowers Ash

Good morning everyone from a rainy windy, bleak Yorkshire getting a bit fed up of all this depressing weather now ... grandMattie you mentioned when you put the bin out, you saw Venus which made me reflect on last year i found out when the Space Internation was flying over, or should i say when it was visible it was an emotional moment when I saw it.

Right, what am i doing today ! Well, my youngest GD is coming tilĺ 1.30pm today then her to her other grandmas. We will make some broken biscuit chocolate squares today she loves to made things, either THAT or sew she made a little bag last time, it was really good, she is only 4 so of course i did most of it. When i have dropped her at other grandmas i am going food shopping because all that sits in the fridge is milk (*yes i have milk* haha) butter and some chicken slices for the CAT !!!!!

ENJOY YOUR DAY EVERYONE.

Good morning everyone from Leicester,

Ashcombe, the flowers are beautiful. DD sent us some in the post on Saturday. They arrive ‘asleep’ and wake up within the day. Lovely!
Mattie, I am thinking of you today.

We are out for our last walk before I start self isolating tomorrow ready for an op. Then meeting the estate agent at my late mum’s flat. We managed to get it ready in time yesterday, and Oh dear me, we did ache at at the end.

Happy Monday everyone.

Ali23 Tue 15-Feb-22 08:22:01

Or even happy Tuesday!!!

Good morning from our corner of the S Welsh coast, I woke to very heavy rain and strong winds, not sure when it started as there was a lovely full moon during the night.
My optician's appointment showed only a slight change, think I may keep my frames though as I saw the my current ones on display, so they are still in vogue and I like them.
I have ordered some skate from the fish man today, Mr Lins will have his usual plaice I expect.
Our DD has gone into work today, she is still working from home but is going on holiday to the USA on Friday, she wants to sort some things before she goes.
I will brave the weather at some stage and drop a card and some chocs to a neighbour for her 80th birthday. My other friend and neighbour has sadly deteriorated over the last couple of weeks.
There is homemade vegetable soup for lunch from the batch I made yesterday, all the remaining veg went in even sprouts.
Thinking of all with troubles of whatever kind, take care.

Morning everyone! Light rain here in West Yorks. Hope it clears as picking up our grandchild in a few minutes. Loves to go out on their little scooter smile We like to get a bit of fresh air too.

Good morning Auntyflo and all x

Grandmabatty Tue 15-Feb-22 08:54:40

Good morning all from Polmont. 5° here and it's been wet. Cloudy at the moment and showers are forecast.
Beautiful flowers Ashcombe. I'm sorry to see you going Multicoloured. Take care.
Another quiet day for me as I'm not feeling wonderful. Have a good day all.

cornergran Tue 15-Feb-22 08:58:58

Best wishes MCSS, thank you for letting us know, its horrid when folk disappear.

Nannytopsy Tue 15-Feb-22 09:01:44

Good morning Mick and all his followers. Grey and breezy in Suffolk so far but wind and rain to come. I am eager for a bit of warmer weather so that I can do the final tidy in the garden and move a few plants. I hate gardening in wind.
DGS wants a satyr costume for World Book Day - of course he does! Furry trousers today then.
I hope the day is kind to everyone and that you are all enjoying half term. Ours is next week.

Nannagarra Tue 15-Feb-22 09:02:40

Good morning from the Sefton coast.
Gym and swim for me today rather than walking or cycling (it’s wet and grey here). I’m half way through a 1,000 piece jigsaw, the scene painted by Trevor Mitchell who illustrated for Salmon stationery. Puzzle + cup of tea + radio = happy bunny.
My thoughts are with you grandMattie and your DGS as you make the final visit.
???
Have the best day you can everyone.

Multicolouredswopshop smile I have only just joined in the morning thread this week. Seems a lovely chatty thread. Sorry you are leaving.

Marydoll Tue 15-Feb-22 09:03:24

Good morning from a chilly Glasgow.

Nannyjan, my condolences to your SIL and his family.

Ash, you are a very lucky lady!

Baubles, I hope you manage to get through the day, without feeling too awful.

I have known Multic for a long time and received a number of PMs from her on Sunday, saying she was leaving and why. I think it is a very wise decision.
I wish her well.

Hving been on this thread from its inception, it has become an addiction. However, I'm taking a step back from this thread for a few days, so don't be concerned about my absence. I will probably post on the Wurdle and Nerdle threads, but if I don't, then be concerned! ?

It is usually a kind and supportive thread, but I was really upset on Sunday after the unnecessary comment about my post, concerning Soop
Furthermore, I can't seem to get things right at the moment and I am not robust enough to deal with things, so its best to retreat for my own sake.
Please don't think I'm doing the poor, little old me thing,, I just have an awful lot to deal with healthwise at the moment and I need to concentrate on that.

There are so many lovely and kind people on here, with such sorrows to bear, yet they think of others, before themselves. Thank to all those, who took the time to message me on Sunday.

Wishing you all the best of days and better days to come.

harrigran Tue 15-Feb-22 09:04:18

Good morning from a rainy NE, yet again.
Busy day yesterday with more paperwork and SIL sorted out an issue with BT, they acknowledged DH's death but still insist on sending bills in his name.
DS is coming today, not sure we will be going out if it remains wet.
Have the best day you can.

Chrissielou Tue 15-Feb-22 09:04:25

A grey chilly day here in Oxfordshire. I will make it short today. I admit to feeling a bit battered today as DD1 had a difficult hospital visit yesterday, with a multitude of problems from the outset.
I hope all find some sunshine today.

grandMattie Tue 15-Feb-22 09:13:38

I’m sorry you’re taking a sabbatical, Marydoll. All the best. And would you let us know how soop is doing, please?

TopsyIrene06 Tue 15-Feb-22 09:17:14

Good wishes Marydoll. You are the reason I sometimes post. Look after yourself sweetie.

Jaxjacky Tue 15-Feb-22 09:17:21

Sorry to hear that Chrissielou take care of yourself.

You’ll be missed mcss good luck in your future.

A difficult day gMattie for you and your GS?

Georgesgran Tue 15-Feb-22 09:18:00

Good morning from a soggy Durham. I don’t think it’s stopped raining since Saturday, but at least I don’t have to water my new turf.
Sorry to read so many GN’s are having a rough time at the moment and can only offer my heartfelt good wishes to them and their families. X
