Good Morning everyone from Severnside. It’s dark and raining..

My keyboard is playing up ?

grandMattie Tue 15-Feb-22 06:15:14

Good morning from a dark, dry E Kent. When I put the food bin out, Venus was looking gorgeous, the nearly full moon was setting and, despite the street lights, I could see quite a few stars/planets. Lovely.
The dentist visit went well, I need to book a long appointment for the new crown. She offered me a bridge for £400, but I’m not vain enough to just that sort of money,?
Have to get a move on as I’m seeing the chiropodist at 0800. She’s a. Lovely Moroccan woman and we have all sorts of chats while cutting my toenails.
T’ai chi later, then supermarket shop and collect DGS’ laptop. I must buy a card to put into Philip’s house to welcome the new owners, when the sale finally goes through. It should be very, very soon as we are using the very same solicitor chamber. I think this is the final visit. DGS is coming, I hope.
A WI craft evening to end my extremely busy day.
I trust today will be kind to everyone. Carpe diem. ????

Beechnut Tue 15-Feb-22 06:19:42

The rain looks set for the day so a miserable day in store. I can get on with my homeworking.
Keyboard working ok now thank goodness

Have a good day all ???

Jaxjacky Tue 15-Feb-22 06:27:03

Good morning Mick and all from a dark S Hants, 3deg, dry for now.
Two drives today, I’m expecting a call from the dentist as I need an hour long appointment they couldn’t schedule when I rang yesterday.
Thinking of those struggling, particularly the DD’s of Gran’s.
Have a pleasant day all ??

Gagagran Tue 15-Feb-22 06:33:46

Good Morning everyone from a chilly again south coast. 0.8c at 6am. Rain and wind on the menu for later.

My oven is sparkling clean after the attentions of a very nice young man yesterday. I shall be reluctant to use it now and he said he wished he had a £ for every time he's heard that!

I need a library visit as I have read all the books I borrowed. Might risk the rain if it's not too bad and venture out. Can't be without a book! Otherwise, pottering will be the order of the day.

Have the best day you can everyone. sunshine

Scentia Tue 15-Feb-22 06:53:02

Good Morning all from East Staffordshire where it feels cold ?
Off on Nanna duties shortly. Firstly we will be doing some deliveries and then meeting my sister and her two grandchildren for lunch at a pub with a soft play. It is half term here so we are going out of area so it isn’t too busy!
Gaga I really must get a man in to do my oven and maybe DD’s too I will investigate prices.
GM I think that is very reasonable for bridgework to be honest!! I cry having my teeth cleaned at the dentist, so do it think I would cope with a crown.?
Have your best day possible today folks and stay warm❤️

grandMattie Tue 15-Feb-22 06:56:43

Yes, scentia, but I have already spent nearly £1k, and the crown will be another £600! It is a great deal of money in all…

Ashcombe Tue 15-Feb-22 06:56:56

Good morning from a windy Torbay with rain expected.

These lovely flowers were delivered before 8.30a.m yesterday by our excellent local florist, with whom DH has done regular business since they supplied our wedding flowers in 2015. When Valentine’s Day fell on a Sunday last year, they still came out to deliver.

Have a good day, whether it be spent at home or out and about. ?????

grandMattie Tue 15-Feb-22 07:03:21

Oh, lucky you, Ash! DH told me that he had seen some nice fish earrings (I collect them) in a local shop but decided I had plenty! I gave him a box of chocolates, he loves chocolate. It was received with a sneer - his go to when embarrassed ?

baubles Tue 15-Feb-22 07:18:47

Good morning Mick, morning all from damp and breezy South Lanarkshire.

Beautiful flowers Ash.

Mattie thanks for you.

I’ve a rotten cold but now that I’m a working woman again I’ll just have to get on with the day.

Hope everyone has a good day.

monk08 Tue 15-Feb-22 07:18:49

Good morning all from the Black country dry at the moment.
What lovely flowers Ash it reminded me I need to get some before my hair appointment, I always take hairdresser some for her birthday which falls on the same day as my late mother's.
GM that's a lovely thing to do leaving a welcome card.
Best wishes to anyone celebrating and virtual hugs where needed, enjoy your day and may you all find some ?.

GrannyGravy13 Tue 15-Feb-22 07:23:19

Morning Mick and all

I think we are due for a wet and windy day here in S E Essex.

I have The Imp, DH is out to the skip and things?

Lovely flowers Ashcombe

Keep safe and well folks ??‍♀️

Feelingmyage55 Tue 15-Feb-22 07:26:46

Good morning from the north of Scotland. It is almost light, bright and not raining. I plan to sort out two bookcases, relocate them and hopefully watch a little of the Olympics. Homemade soup and savoury scones for lunch.
Half term means busy cafes so I tend not to go in.
Have a good day everyone.

ShazzaKanazza Tue 15-Feb-22 07:33:23

Good morning Mick and everyone from a damp cold Hull with an 80% chance of rain today.
Today it’s off to do shopping for my uncle in assisted living and then pick up mum to go visit him.
He’s so funny. He’s 76. He has special needs and he is constantly saying Boris should be sacked which most of us agree on lol. But that women are the reason this country is going down the nick. But yet he’s desperate to marry one. Anyone! He’s so funny but everyone loves him. I’m usually in need of a glass of wine when I come back.
Unfortunately they are all confined to their flats as there must be covid in there. I always do an LFT before I go. He’s such a sociable man so he just paces the floor and listens and sings to Slim Whitman when he’s stuck in. So hopefully it won’t be for long.
Hope everyone enjoys their day today.

GrandmaSeaDragon Tue 15-Feb-22 07:34:17

Good morning from Rutland where the sun rise is a beautiful pink lilac just now. It’s windy but dry and I can see a red kite hovering. What lovely flowers Ashcombe. Our thoughts are with our SonIL in Perth as he attends his Father’s funeral. No Will has been found yet. Our hopes are that the prospective purchasers of my SisterIL’s house will sign the contract for it’s purchase today and exchange will take place. DH is Executor (she died from MND last year) and it’s been a difficult and long drawn out process.
Wishing you all the best day.

Pittcity Tue 15-Feb-22 07:36:36

Good morning from sunny Colchester. The forecast is milder with rain, but no sign of either at present.
Tuesday is charity shop day. I really enjoy the change of scene and the interaction with all sorts of people.
Beef curry with Sunday's leftovers tonight as we ate at DD's yesterday.
Love to all ? x

brook2704 Tue 15-Feb-22 07:39:55

Good morning everyone from Inverness where it’s a dry start to the day but cold at about 3º
Today I’m doing my usual dance Fitsteps class and then I’ll probably join the ladies afterwards for a coffee. After that I’ll walk into town and get something from M&S to eat for tea later.
Hoping you feel better soon baubles
Hoping everyone finds something to enjoy today and take care all whatever the day brings ?

cornergran Tue 15-Feb-22 07:41:09

Morning Mick, morning All from a very wet corner of Somerset.

Still learning to use our tv. Why so complex? It filled some time yesterday morning along with some sorting before we wandered out for tea and cake via the tip. Today it’s dust removal. I’ll make some random vegetable soup for lunch, then chat to a friend on the phone this afternoon.

An hour to come at the dentist jax? The thought gives me shudders as does your dental bill grandmattie. Beautiful flowers ash, we drifted away from marking 14th many years ago - other than with a card and much cake. smile.

Wishing everyone the best day it can be.

Gwenisgreat1 Tue 15-Feb-22 07:42:42

Good morning all from soon to be wet Harrogate
Yesterday our trip to Leeds did not go to plan? We got to the very busy Apple shop where I explained my phone and watch would not ‘pair’. Many of the staff came to help at different times. They decided my phone needed upgrading. It was taking forever to download - eventually I said we couldn’t wait any longer, I’d have to finish it at home. We dashed to get a bite to eat, then off to find a bus to the Medical Centre DH had an appointment which was supposed to take 30 - 40 Mins. I was not told I couldn’t go in with him until we got there. I had to wait on a hard chair for 1hr 30 mins, by which time my bum was numb! I did ask the staff how long it was going to be, because I could just get the bus home, ‘no’ I was told, ‘he’ll just be 10 mins. It was another 40 mins. What a waste of time! Got home just after 5 pm made tea then set about finishing pairing the watch. Finally finished at bedtime!
This morning have to wait from 8.45 for a call from the hospital consultant then we will go to pick up dog from DD. Then another phone call this pm which will be at least an hour long.
Got to get me ready for the 1st call.
Have the best day you can folks

Good morning all from a cloudy North Leicestershire.

Today we are meeting Dd2 and family in Leicester before taking DGD4 shopping and for lunch for her birthday treat. Then they are all staying for a couple of days.

Burgerologist for tea!!

Alygran Tue 15-Feb-22 07:53:03

Good morning from North Yorkshire. It’s wet again this morning.
I’m hoping it clears soon as I have someone coming to finish the fence and renew some paving. He made a good start yesterday but eventually the weather got the better of him.
Off to Harrogate to meet a friend for coffee this morning, hopefully a walk later and a trustee meeting this evening.
Lots going on for people with (expensive) appointments, house sales and poorly family members. I hope today is better for you all.
Take care everyone.

Grandmadinosaur Tue 15-Feb-22 07:53:33

Good morning from East Yorkshire. It’s 2 degrees and dry at the moment.

Still feeling under the weather so I’ll miss coffee morning today and just spend the day resting.
