Is anyone else a little bit anxious about the storm tomorrow?

I’m in the red zone, currently looking after grandchildren (schools are closed) we live on the coast and I’d love to go to look at the sea but with winds gusting at 122 mph at The Needles I guess we’ll stay indoors

I live on a narrow boat and I am being battered by Eunice. I have added two extra mooring ropes as added security. Everything in garden and on jetty secured. I have found it safer to stay seated as nearly been thrown when walking down boat.

Arwen brought an enormous tree down next door but one. The owners of the property have refused to take down the other trees and my neighbour and I are very worried indeed.

I think I would have been anxious about Eunice even if that hadn't happened.

It has been a hell of a night, calmer now here in N.Cornwall.

Blimey. Mind you it couldn’t be more exposed really.

Rough in Somerset. Been blowing hard since about 10am.

Some of our back fence is now lying across a footpath. Fortunately a managed development, our area manager has arranged for someone to be along as soon as it’s safe for them to do so. He will secure what he can. The side fence is also trying to leave us.

A bit concerned about security for us and the safety of anyone on the path. We’re getting all sorts of scowls from a few hardy (silly!) dog walkers. The roof is creaking, wind howling at the front, a lot of structural damage nearby. Will be pleased when Eunice has gone on her way.

We slept through the 1987 hurricane and this morning didn't wake till about 9.20 am when it was a bit of a gale in South Somerset. No damage I can see so far.

The wind is picking up a bit now, and it’s raining quite heavily. Due to reach us properly around 5 pm according to the forecast, but I wouldn’t be surprised if the worst of it reaches us sooner.

Not a million miles away from you Sue450 and it sure is raging here isn't it! Wouldn't want to be at the top of Shooters Hill today, any other day a fabulous view. Stay safe.

Son has no power, daughter lost fence panels, neighbour’s greenhouse destroyed.

Not too bad here in south Devon but the gusts are very strong
Opened a bedroom window that's very stiff an inch this morning
In 5 minutes it was wide open and curtains blown out. Some nearby areas have lost power but we're OK atm. WiFi very on and off but 4g OK for now

Please stay in if you’re in the red zone unless you absolutely have to go out. I’m working in the ambulance control room and my screen is full of people aged 70+ who have gone out shopping and been blown over. We’ve got quite a few serious RTC’s needing a lot of resources too so those who have fallen have long waits.

Some large twigs blew off our tree and I thought we'd have some clearing up to do but they seem to have blown away.

We normally get everyone else's rubbish blowing into a garden so it makes a change.

Its 1pm, red zone sw, started at 7am and is now very strong and sustained. Very dangerous storm. Met office got this spot on

I am just amazed to see pictures of people standing on the water's edge in the South Wales and some actually in the sea in other places!

I had to stop watching the weather yesterday because I was just getting so stressed and anxious. So far, windy but no worse than it was a couple or 3 days ago (storm Dudley) but I suppose it could ramp up this afternoon (hoping it doesn’t). I am in the Midlands

I walked the dog half an hour ago (I have no choice as my garden is a postage stamp and not linked to my property, a first floor flat, so we'd need to walk anyway). It was a bit blowy but very warm. I'm in South Norfolk.
Now we're back safely I'm glad we went when we did. It's now raining and the wind is making everything rattle! Good timing! Stay safe everyone.

I've decided to stay in instead of my usual visit to my sister, we're amber zone here, nearly got blown off my feet earlier with a sudden gust. I hope everyone stays safe.

Despite the double glazing I can hear the wind and it's a bit alarming.

red warning is now amber, red winds were very bad for 6 full hours. Still not brilliant but I am glad to be out of red. I can hear bumps and bangs from time to time, will be quite some damage out and about

Well that was scary. No electricity for8 hours. Heated water and soup on the log burner, and a tree has come down across our and a neighbours drive. And it is still windy although the sun is out now. Good lick to all in SE England as I believe Eunice is coming your way.

A friend in Salisbury has lost some ridge tiles from his roof which crashed into the road, along with some guttering and the top of a downpipe. He is trying to stay upright in the wind to take photos for the insurance.
