Lovely photo soop. So good to see you posting again and also good news from the stoma nurse. Onwards and upwards from now on. Rest well before your day of non-stop appointments and even more rest when you get back home. It is so sensible to spend the night in an hotel. You will both need a relaxed 'overnight'!

I had a drive today, a lady visiting her optician for new glasses, it took her a long time as I was away from home for nearly three hours.
Because I was out so long I can procrastinate and put off housework until tomorrow, washing done though.
Fin tested -ve this morning brook if he’s the same tomorrow, it’s back to school, only four days from his +ve test, either because he’s young or ?it’s waning.
Leftovers for an easy meal tonight.

The nurse called in this morning. It is the beginning of an ulcer that is now appropriately "dressed". Best dealt with at an early stage.
We have a busy day of hospital appointments this week. Remaining breast to be screened. Appointment in the same hospital with a specialist stoma nurse. After which, post surgery check up with surgeon at Ross Hall. Friends will house-sit and feed our creatures so that we can stay overnight in hotel. Mr Soop is most grateful.

A wet and blustery day. I shall return to my comfortable armchair to continue reading my Galbraith tome. I am enjoying it.

Morning everyone. I’m pleased to see you posting soop but hope the ulcer doesn’t cause to much trouble.
Had a lovely afternoon yesterday with son number one and daughter in law round for a late lunch/early dinner.
A parcel has just arrived, haven’t opened it yet as I think it’s from my daughter in New Zealand, ready for my birthday later this week.

Hopefully it’ll soon get sorted soop without too much trouble and discomfort

It’s eventually all gone quiet here with DGS and DGD having a sleepover whilst their mum and dad have a night out seeing Ed Byrne at Eden court theatre in Inverness. Our little madam was using every trick in the book to prolong the bedtime ritual but hopefully she’s asleep now and I’ll join grandmabatty in the corner of the kitchen munching on the cake and cookies

Hoping Finlay is over his covid soon Jax and not too poorly and good news about the baby being home now nannytopsy I hope he continues to do well

Lazy day here, my daughter doorstep dropped my birthday present, rather late due to her departed Covid, Finley and his Covid stayed in the car.
MrJ is happy as Ireland won the rugby and his football team, Leeds won, mine, another Saints, lost.

A lovely long message Soop which indicates that you are on the mend. I made lime and coconut cake and peanut butter and chocolate chip cookies this morning. I took half to dd and spent the afternoon with her and the boys. I'll leave some here. I'm currently lying on the couch as I'm knackered being grandma.

Just to rub it in, our DGDs3&4, (aged nearly 8,& nearly 5), have been singing all the anthems on our "grandparents whats app"! They have a Grandfather born in Scotland & a GGM born in Ireland! So they try to please us all!!

I believe that there is a rugby match taking place this afternoon between Northampton Saints and Wasps. In my youth, I had a weekend job behind the bar at the Saints' ground; Franklin Gardens. The soles of my shoes rotted in due course...the beer on the floor after a match was to blame.

Good morning everyone! So glad to see a much more perky soop sitting by the Aga. A month already? We are struggling with how fast life is flashing by here.
It’s been a busy week following stepDGGS being taken to hospital. He is home and still putting on weight but his heart still goes very fast when he gets excited. Hopefully he will grow out of it.
Our DGC stayed with us as there was Covid in school and other granny is more vulnerable. DGS tested positive 24 hours after they went home, so fingers firmly crossed. Plus it was a busy WI week and craft afternoon. Thank goodness it’s all over and I can finish the ironing and get on with the garden!
Well done Scotland and what determined young men the English team were. No shame in that defeat and I think the French may be a bit worried about next week.
Glad to see Puss is still visiting soop. We still think we see Charlie then it turns out to be slippers or a cushion! ?
I got a chicken out of the freezer yesterday which is a bit big. “Never mind, Charlie will share it” I thought then realised.

You are sounding better Soop. I had an unexpected invite to coffee this afternoon. A friend, who I haven't seen for ages sent me a message inviting me to hers for coffee and a blether. It was really nice to catch up. However I have a really sore throat today. I've done a lft and it's negative. It feels more like an ulcer and it's very painful. I'll survive, I'm sure. ? The housework is all done too, so my inner housewife is smiling. I hope you are all having a good evening Kitcheners.

We had quite a late lunch out in town today with DH, DD2 and 8 year old DGS. He’s growing up so quickly and it’s lovely to spend time with him. DGD aged 7 was at her dancing class and we picked her up later and then spent the best part of half an hour in the Smiggle shop which has all things sparkling, colourful and cute that she just adores

Home now with feet up - DH is in the kitchen making something and I’m just chilling out here with my good friends in the kitchen ?

So glad that things have improved for you Soop and long may that continue. You are sounding so much more like our old friend now and that is heart-warming news amidst all the horrors in the media.
